Swan city, Silver Alliance :
A tower stood in the middle of the city. It's height reached the skies and the end of it is nowhere to be seen. A count down is flashing at the tower entrance with the tag : Awakening Ceremony. Every year the tower will commence the awakening. Those who are able to wield mana and want to climb the tower can get the approval of tower but it's also based on their luck. Only one in 100 or even 1000 can become awakeners.
It's been 25 years since the tower appeared in all the major cities of the Earth. Countries are decimated and the societies are destroyed. Monsters flooded this world and appeared like a doom fell on humanity but then the tower emerged giving a chance for the humans to become stronger and push back those monsters.
In place of nations, alliances emerged and provinces are also built. The previous political system came into play and new governance emerged successfully. The awakeners are reverred everywhere and they will earn more than ordinary people due to their ability to enter dungeons and tower.
The tower brought power, fame and glory to the awakeners. Mana, the energy that awakeners uses changed the daily life of all humans. Some used it to make the world a better place to live by giving many inventions to make life easier while some declined the moral ways and started acting against their race.
At this moment a boy who is no more than 14 years old looked at the screen that appeared in front of him with a smile :

The boy smiled as he gazed at the tower. He became an awakened. When he is born in this world and lost his parents he became depressed. His parents are also awakeners but died in rescuing others from monsters in a dungeon outbreak. He received his parents pension until now and lived in the house left to him by his parents. He streamed about becoming an awakener all along. The boy opened his status and took a look. Status is something every player will get at their awakening and only he can see it. Of course there are some detection skills, but completely seeing the status of others is very very rare.

That's an interesting skill there. Ryan stood up and goes to the awakeners office. Now all awakeners will be in celebration they awakened. It's good time for him to go and register immediately in this less crowded situation. Ryan took a taxi to the association. As expected the crowd is less at this moment as the association will closed in half an hour and many are celebrating their awakening.
As he entered the association the reception welcomed him," hello sir, are you here to register as Awakened? ", Ryan nodded she took out a crystal ball and said," please place your hand on this. It'll determine whether you're awakened or not. If yes, I can register you as an awakened and will give you an id ".
Ryan placed his hand on the crystal while it blinked with green light. The receptionist smiled and said," may I know the skill you awakened? ", Ryan asked back," um isn't the awakened skill confidential for every awakener? ", the receptionist said," I apologise about that. I asked as my curiosity took best off me ".
She then asked his registration card and typed something in computer then gave him an ID. She then said," the association is also good for awakeners. While guilds pay in money, association has previliges that guilds can't enjoy. If you want to join you can apply to the association ".
Ryan nodded and exited the awakener association. He then headed home and looked at the tower. The tower will be opened from tomorrow and awakeners can enter it. Ryan also can't wait to enter the tower. But before that he needs to attend the school to confirm he is awakened.
He can drop out of school with this. Ryan looked at his parents photos and said," I'm an awakener now mom and dad. I got a good skill too. I'll climb the tower and become a powerful awakened. I'll fulfil that dream you placed on me. I promise ". He then touched the photo and reminisced those memories when his mother chased him around him the house to feed him food. The games he played with his father. The trips they gone to and the times they laughed and enjoyed together.
For him those 5 years of life is something to cherish. And it's all ruined by the rogue awakeners plot to dungeon breaks. He clenched his teeth in anger and said," I also promised to make them pay in future. I promise mom and dad, I'll not let them go. They will die horrifying deaths that will scare the other rogues to even crawl out of their holes. I promise you ", He placed the photo on his bedside and looked at the ceiling. Closing his eyes, he slept through the night.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
The alarm sounded while Ryan smiled woke up. He got ready and walked to his school. There is commotion at the school already with a groups of students gathering around. Some are bragging while many looked downcast either due to not chosen by the tower or getting a low rank rank skill.
