Chapter 1 - Prologue

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, the demon of the fourth generation and only survivor of the fourth generation was currently contemplating his life in his room sitting on his bed. The past two years had helped him make memories that he couldn't even hope to make in those cold, sterile rooms painted white. He had already put his plans in motion, Class D will - now Class B- will definitely become Class A. It was not a prediction or a guess but a testament. He now has nothing to do.

He had won again. He wanted to lose yet at the same time his true nature wanted him to win. Will he get another challenge like this?

Ayanokoji sighed knowing the answer. Suddenly, the world around him began to distort. The edges of his vision blurred, He clutched his head with one hand while supporting himself with another. Ayanokoji remained still, his mind analyzing the situation with quiet detachment.

'So the time has come' Ayanokoji thought as he saw blood trickling from his nose. The dormant injuries from the white room had started to erupt under the recent fights. He knew he had no time and just thought of his recent journey.

Then, darkness.

When he opened his eyes, the ceiling was gone, replaced by a vast, open sky. He lay on a dirt path, the earthy scent mixing with the fresh breeze. Slowly, he sat up, taking in his surroundings—a landscape of fields and mountains, far removed from the sterile confines he knew.

His clothes were simple, rough fabric replacing the familiar uniform. His hands felt different—smaller, softer. He was in a different body, a younger one, but he noted this change with only mild curiosity.

A man approached him, his demeanor respectful. "You are awake, young prince," he said, bowing slightly.

"Prince?" Ayanokoji repeated, his tone even, revealing neither surprise nor concern.

"Yes, Prince Qin Shin. You are the illegitimate son of the King of Qin. Rest assured, you are safe here."

Qin Shin. The name settled in his mind without resistance. Ayanokoji understood the implication but felt no particular attachment to it. The title of prince was merely a role to play, a new position in a different game.

'Looks like I have been sent to the past as a prince of Qin Kingdom during waring states era. This feels like 'transmigration' that Sotomura talks about' Ayanokoji thought.

Ayanokoji slipped into the persona of a price fairly easily due to his white room training.

"I see," he responded, his voice steady. "Where am I to go?"

The man gestured towards a nearby village. "This way, Your Highness."

Ayanokoji—now Qin Shin—stood and followed. His mind began to assess his situation, mapping out possibilities and strategies. While he felt no excitement, a faint sense of purpose stirred within him. The path ahead was uncertain, but he would navigate it as he always did—calmly and methodically.

The rise of the Dragon Emperor was not driven by ambition or desire. It was simply the next logical step in a world that awaited his influence.
