After Dema's birthday party ends, Sona heads to the Adventurers' Guild with Sarah by her side. They chat as they walk. Upon entering the guild, they are met with the sight of numerous injured adventurers. Sarah approaches a receptionist to ask what happened and learns that a large group of monsters is heading towards the village.
The guild's headmaster, Ronald, orders all B-rank adventurers and higher to join him in defending the village. Meanwhile, he assigns other adventurers to evacuate the villagers to a safe area—Sona's house. Sona worries about her sister but reassures herself that their house is far from the chaos. Sarah suggests that Sona help with the evacuation, promising greater rewards for her efforts, which Sona agrees to.
Ronald gives a motivational speech before leading the group of seasoned adventurers to the front lines, while Sona and the others help evacuate survivors. Before they leave, Sarah warns Sona to be cautious.
The mission begins with adventurers charging into battle against the monsters, who are attacking and destroying houses in the area. As survivors flee, many are killed by the monsters, and Sona freezes in horror at the scene. She's snapped out of it when others shout for help. She springs into action just in time to dodge an axe thrown by a monster. Ronald shouts for everyone to hold the line, but then a wyvern attacks him. The wyvern's attacks are ineffective against Ronald, who curses the creature before slaying it with his sword.
Sona notices a young boy in danger and rushes to save him, casting a spell to defeat the monster threatening him. Another team takes the boy to safety.
Meanwhile, back at Sona's house, Dema is cleaning when there's a knock on the door. She opens it to find Greg, who urgently asks for her help.
Sona's group continues evacuating survivors, but the situation grows desperate. Just when hope seems lost, an S-rank adventurer named Rain arrives. His presence boosts morale, and the adventurers are in awe of his power as he effortlessly dispatches monsters with a single blow. The tide turns, and the villagers' chances of survival improve.
But just as they start gaining ground, a Fire Dragon—an S-rank monster—appears. Rain is ready to face it, but the dragon proves stronger than he expected. Forced to use his ultimate attack, Meteoric Strike, Rain creates a massive explosion, but the dragon survives and knocks him back. The adventurers watch in horror as the beast looms over them.
In that moment, Sona steps in, casting her Fire Blast spell to intercept the dragon's fiery breath. Some adventurers recognize her as the Fire Rose Mage, and though Sona is embarrassed by her title, she quickly casts a Barrier spell to protect herself from the dragon's next fiery onslaught.
Rain recovers and attacks the dragon from behind, wounding it. Inspired by the duo's teamwork, the adventurers rally to fight off the other monsters and defend the village. The ground shakes as Sona and Rain engage in a fierce battle with the Fire Dragon, their combined might pushing the creature back.
Seeing an opening, Ronald uses his Frontal Assault skill to lower the dragon's defenses. Sona and Rain seize the opportunity to launch their ultimate moves. Sona summons a massive magic circle for her Divine Judgement spell, while Rain charges his sword with energy for another Meteoric Strike.
"DIVINE JUDGEMENT!" Sona cries.
"Meteoric Strike!" Rain shouts.
A blinding golden and blue light strikes the Fire Dragon, followed by a massive explosion. From afar, people are in awe of the power displayed. As the dust settles, the Fire Dragon is defeated, and the remaining monsters flee. The knights finally arrive to exterminate the rest.
Amidst the victory, Rain turns to find Sona, but she has already disappeared. All that's left is her guild card on the ground.
The next day, after the battle, Sona is promoted to C-rank. As she reaches into her magic bag to retrieve her guild card, she realizes it's gone. "If your guild card is lost, you'll need to retake the examination," Sarah explains. Devastated, Sona is suddenly approached by a familiar voice.
"Sona... a D-rank adventurer promoted to C-rank... is this yours, Fire Rose Mage?" the voice asks.
Sona looks up and sees Rain standing there, holding her guild card. The room goes silent as the adventurers stare in surprise. Sarah, too, is shocked. "Do you know each other?" she asks. Sona, equally surprised, stammers in disbelief. Rain introduces himself with a smile.
"If you ever need help... just call me. And by the way... thank you for your help last night," he says, bowing before leaving.
The other adventurers gossip about Rain and Sona's battle with the Fire Dragon, with some even speculating that they're in a relationship.
News of the defeat spreads quickly, reaching not only neighboring villages but also the Royal Capital of Ceboa. In the throne room, Prince Kuzuki El Asmanya the First kneels before his father, the king, requesting permission to travel to Feroa Village. The king agrees, advising his son to be cautious, as the village is located near dangerous dungeons. Determined to meet the Fire Rose Mage in person, Prince Kuzuki prepares for his journey, a plan forming in his mind.
