It was a loud stormy night, sky breaking down & cracking thunders over the central jail of D city.

Peony is sitting on the cell floor, facing the window, her eyes looking at the sky, not flinching even in front of the lights that are dazzling her small cell through the window. She is scheduled to be executed tomorrow.

She looks at her crimson hair, which grew out so well that two weeks ago her little sister was puffing cheeks, complaining about how the salon does only Peony's hair well and their mom scolded them both. She observes her nails, they still have some paint left from the manicure which was done last two week earlier.

She rethinks about her life again. Everything was set in motion. She turned 24, was about to move on to N city, having new job and a new dream. But everything turned upside down. "All for that goddamned man," she thinks.

last week she unalived her father, mother and their little sister. She also attacked the mistress of her father but she escaped alive somehow and told the police about Peony. And the excellent cops of D city arrested her within that weak, the rest was pretty easy as Peony confessed everything on her own then, having left no will ro live.

Three cops, along with the attorney of her opposition, the mistress Cara Mason and Peony's barrister Mr. Barnard come. They read out loud, the time & date of her execution, asking her last wish. Peony sits there silent for a moment, then asks the cops, "Can you bring me a device where I can read books? I want to spend the night reading the stories that I loved. Oh, and also, espresso double shot 2 cups, each with one sugar for the night."

The cops say, "Will do. Anything Else?" Looking at her puzzled. They probably think that they have found another gossip topic for tomorrow. The girl thinks again, and says, "The property that my father left behind, will go to Cara right? As the will states." The lawyers affirm with nods. She slightly smiles & says, alright, now it's time for me to read, I want to do it."

She drinks one cup of coffee. When at midnight drinks another one, but surprisingly today her eyelids are too heavy. She Thinks to herself, "Will Go to sleep forever tomorrow, why not spend the night well, Peony dear?"

Dawn breaks & all inmates are taken for roll call, except for the death row ones. The whole corridor falls silent. Peony was dozing off since earlier, now unable to bear it, she closes her eyes and falls asleep.

Peony hears distance voices in her head. She murmurs, "Well; I'll die one or two hour later, why not be a couple of minutes late, I didn't do anything in time anyways." But she is forced to wake up when somebody slaps her hardly. She wakes up, feels her Android inside her palm.

Wait, Android?

Her eyes bursts open. She finds herself in a very familiar room, with her laptop on bedside table. She went to the time when she was a sophomore at college!

She utters her first word of the day, "Why the hell Am I here...?"
