Chapter 10 - Continuation of Daniel empire

As Daniel walked away from Maya's house, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had stood up for himself and made it clear that he wouldn't be disrespected.

As he got into his car, he noticed Maya running towards him. She opened the door and got in, looking distressed.

"Daniel, I'm so sorry about what happened," she said, tears streaming down her face. "My parents are just so...so..."

Daniel put a hand on her shoulder, comforting her. "It's okay, Maya. I know they're just trying to protect you. But they went about it the wrong way."

Maya nodded, sniffling. "I know. I'm so sorry. I feel like I've brought shame to you."

Daniel smiled and pulled her into a hug. "You could never bring shame to me, Maya. I love you, no matter what."

Maya's eyes widened in surprise, and she pulled back to look at Daniel. "You love me?" she repeated.

Daniel nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "Yes, I do. I love you, Maya."

Maya's face lit up with a radiant smile, and she threw her arms around Daniel's neck. "I love you too, Daniel," she whispered.

As they hugged, Daniel felt a sense of happiness wash over him. He knew that he had found his soulmate in Maya, and he was determined to make their relationship work, no matter what obstacles came their way.

Just then, Daniel's phone buzzed. He pulled back from Maya and looked at the screen. It was a text from Mr. Drake.

"Boss, I've taken care of my son. He won't be bothering you or Maya again. But I have to warn you, there are people who are not happy about your relationship with Maya. They will stop at nothing to break you two apart."

Daniel's eyes narrowed as he read the text. He knew that he had enemies, but he had never thought that they would target Maya.

He looked at Maya, who was watching him with concern. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Daniel hesitated, unsure of how much to tell her. But then he decided to be honest. "It's just a warning from Mr. Drake," he said. "He says that there are people who don't want us to be together."

Maya's eyes widened in alarm. "What kind of people?" she asked.

Daniel shrugged. "I don't know. But don't worry, I'll protect you. I promise."

Maya nodded, looking relieved. But Daniel could tell that she was still scared. He pulled her into another hug, determined to keep her safe from harm. After completing their university education, Daniel and Maya were finally ready to focus on their own pursuits. Daniel had always been driven to succeed, and his hard work and determination had paid off. He had quickly risen through the ranks of the business world, and was now ranked as the 4th richest businessman in the world.

Daniel's business empire was vast and diverse, with companies in different countries around the world. He had investments in Canada, China, Japan, Australia, Romania, Egypt, South Africa, and California, among others. He was always on the move, traveling from one country to another, seeking out new business opportunities and expanding his empire.

Currently, Daniel was in Kenya, where he was investing in a new business venture. He had arrived in Nairobi a few days ago, and had been busy meeting with local business leaders and government officials. Maya had accompanied him on the trip, and they were staying in a luxurious hotel in the city.

As Daniel sat in his hotel room, going over some documents and preparing for a meeting with a potential investor, Maya walked in and sat down beside him. "Hey, how's it going?" she asked, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"It's going great," Daniel replied, smiling. "I think this investment is going to be a really good one. The Kenyan economy is growing rapidly, and there's a lot of potential for growth here."

Maya nodded, looking interested. "That's great," she said. "I'm glad to see you're doing so well. You've worked really hard to get to where you are."

Daniel smiled, feeling grateful for Maya's support. "I couldn't have done it without you," he said, taking her hand in his. "You've been my rock, my partner in every sense of the word."

Maya smiled back at him, her eyes shining with love. "I'll always be here for you, Daniel," she said. "We're in this together, forever."

As they sat there, holding hands and looking into each other's eyes, Daniel knew that he had found his true partner in life. Maya was more than just his girlfriend - she was his best friend, his confidante, and his soulmate. And he knew that he would always cherish and love her, no matter what challenges lay ahead. As Daniel pulled out the engagement ring from his pocket, Maya's eyes widened in surprise. "Maya, from the moment I met you, I knew that you were special," Daniel said, his voice filled with emotion. "I love you, Maya. I want you to be the mother of my children. Will you marry me?"

Maya's eyes welled up with tears as she stared at the ring in Daniel's hand. It was a stunning diamond solitaire, surrounded by smaller diamonds and set in a platinum band. Maya gasped in amazement, her hand flying to her mouth.

"Yes, yes, a million times yes!" Maya exclaimed, tears streaming down her face.

Daniel slid the ring onto Maya's finger, and they shared a passionate kiss. Maya couldn't believe her luck - she was going to marry the man of her dreams, a man who loved her for who she was.

As they pulled back from their kiss, Maya gazed at the ring on her finger, admiring its beauty. Daniel smiled, his eyes shining with happiness.

"I'm so glad you said yes," Daniel whispered, his voice filled with emotion.

Maya smiled, her eyes sparkling with tears. "I'm glad I said yes too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Without another word, Daniel swept Maya into his arms, carrying her to the bedroom. They made love, their passion and desire for each other burning brighter than ever before.

As they lay in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, Maya knew that she had made the right decision. She was going to spend the rest of her life with the man she loved, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.

"I love you, Daniel," Maya whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

"I love you too, Maya," Daniel replied, his voice filled with passion. "Forever and always."The man sat in his dark office, his face twisted in a scowl. He was fuming with anger, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity.

"Daniel," he spat, his voice low and menacing. "I'm going to destroy you. Your little empire, your precious business, your entire life's work... I'm going to burn it all to the ground."

He slammed his fist on the desk, making the objects on it jump.

"You think you can cross me and get away with it?" he snarled. "You think you can just waltz in here and steal what's mine? I don't think so."

He stood up, his tall frame looming over the desk.

"I get what I want, when I want it," he growled. "And what I want is to see you destroyed. You're just a foolish little boy, playing at being a businessman. But I'm the one with the real power. And I'm going to use it to crush you."

He began to pace back and forth in front of the desk, his anger and frustration building with every step.

"You're going to regret the day you ever crossed me," he hissed. "You're going to regret the day you ever met me."

Suddenly, he stopped pacing and turned to face the door.

"Get me my assistant," he barked. "I have a plan to put into action. And it's going to start with Daniel's downfall."As the days went by, Daniel couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad was going to happen. He kept having a nagging sense of unease, like a knot in the pit of his stomach.

He tried to brush it off as mere paranoia, but the feeling only intensified. He started to notice little things that seemed off, like a stranger lurking in the shadows or a faint noise in the night.

Maya noticed the change in Daniel's behavior and asked him what was wrong. Daniel tried to downplay his concerns, but Maya could see the worry etched on his face.

"Daniel, what's going on?" Maya asked, her voice laced with concern. "You've been acting strange for days. Is everything okay?"

Daniel sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and fear. "I don't know, Maya. I just have this bad feeling that something's going to happen. I keep thinking that someone's watching us, waiting for the perfect moment to strike."

Maya's expression turned serious. "Daniel, we need to talk to someone about this. Maybe we can get some security or something."

Daniel nodded, feeling a sense of relief that Maya was taking his concerns seriously. "Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll talk to my team and see what we can do."

But as they walked away, Daniel couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. He glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed with an incoming message. Daniel's heart skipped a beat as he saw the message from an unknown number.

"You're getting close to the truth," the message read. "Be careful, Daniel. You're playing with fire."

Daniel's blood ran cold as he showed the message to Maya. "What does this mean?" Maya asked, her voice trembling with fear.

Daniel's eyes narrowed. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out."As soon as Daniel and Maya arrived in Korea, they were greeted with warm smiles and open arms by Daniel's parents. They were thrilled to see their son and his fiancée, and they couldn't wait to hear all about their plans for the future.

Daniel and Maya sat down with his parents in the living room, and Daniel began to explain their engagement and their plans for the wedding. His parents listened with big smiles on their faces, and they congratulated the couple on their decision to get married.

"We're so happy for you, Daniel," his mother said, tears of joy in her eyes. "Maya is a wonderful girl, and we're so glad you've found each other."

Daniel's father nodded in agreement. "Yes, we're very happy for you both. Now, let's talk about the wedding. When were you thinking of having it?"

Daniel and Maya exchanged a glance, and then Daniel spoke up. "We were thinking of having it in a few months, maybe in the summer. We want to make sure that all of our friends and family can attend."

His parents nodded, and then his mother spoke up. "That sounds like a great plan. We'll start making arrangements right away. But first, we need to give you our blessing."

Daniel and Maya smiled at each other, and then Daniel's father stood up. "Let's go to the family altar and perform the traditional Korean blessing ceremony," he said.

Daniel and Maya followed his parents to the family altar, where they performed the ceremony. Daniel's parents prayed for the couple's happiness and prosperity, and then they gave them their blessing.

As they left the altar, Daniel's mother turned to Maya and said, "Welcome to our family, Maya. We're so glad to have you as a part of our family."

Maya smiled and hugged Daniel's mother. "Thank you, Mrs. Richard. I'm so happy to be a part of your family."

Daniel smiled, feeling happy and relieved that his parents had given them their blessing. He knew that this was just the beginning of their new life together, and he couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.As the day went on, Daniel's father, Mr. Richard, decided to celebrate his son's return home with a big dinner party. He was proud of all his children's accomplishments, especially Roselle, who had become a talented national singer. Alex and his girlfriend were also doing well as actors in Korea, and Mr. Richard was thrilled to see his children succeeding in their respective careers.

To prepare for the celebration, Mr. Richard and Maya went out to do some grocery shopping. A few hours later, Mrs. Richard received a phone call that made her cry out loud. Daniel, who was in the living room, was startled by his mother's sudden outburst.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Daniel asked, rushing to her side.

Mrs. Richard was shaking and crying uncontrollably. "It's your father and Maya," she sobbed. "They've been in an accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment."

Daniel's eyes widened in horror. "What? Oh no, Mom. What happened?"

Mrs. Richard tried to compose herself. "I don't know, Daniel. The police just called and said that your father and Maya were in a car accident. Your father's injuries are severe, and he needs to undergo surgery immediately."

Daniel felt like his world had been turned upside down. He couldn't believe that his father and Maya were in the hospital, fighting for their lives. He quickly grabbed his phone and called the hospital to get more information.

As he waited for the doctor to call him back, Daniel couldn't help but think about all the things that could go wrong. He was scared for his father's life, and he was worried about Maya's well-being. He felt helpless, not knowing what to do or how to make things better.

Just then, the doctor called Daniel back, and he quickly answered the phone. "Hello?" he said, his voice shaking with anxiety.

"Hello, Daniel. This is Dr. Kim from the hospital. I'm afraid your father's condition is critical. He needs to undergo surgery immediately, and we're not sure if he'll make it."

Daniel felt like he had been punched in the gut. He couldn't breathe, and he couldn't think. All he could do was stand there, frozen in shock, as the doctor continued to talk to him.Daniel and his mother arrived at the hospital, and Daniel's heart was racing with anxiety. He quickly got out of the car and rushed to the hospital entrance, his mother following close behind.

As they made their way to Maya's hospital room, Daniel's mind was filled with worst-case scenarios. He had no idea what to expect, but he was prepared for the worst.

When they arrived at Maya's room, Daniel's mother stayed outside, giving him a moment alone with his future wife. Daniel took a deep breath, steeled himself, and walked into the room.

What he saw took his breath away. Maya was lying motionless on the hospital bed, her face pale and her eyes closed. Daniel felt like he had been punched in the gut, and he cried out uncontrollably.

"Maya, no! Please don't leave me!" Daniel begged, his voice shaking with emotion. "I need you, Maya. I love you!"

Just then, Maya's parents and her brother Max arrived at the hospital room. When they saw Maya's condition, they burst into tears. Daniel tried to comfort them, but he was barely holding it together himself.

As they all cried together, Daniel tried to put himself together. He knew he had to be strong for Maya and her family. But just as he was starting to compose himself, his mother came into the room with a somber expression on her face.

"Daniel, I need to talk to you," she said, her voice trembling.

Daniel's heart sank, and he knew that something was wrong. "What is it, Mom?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

His mother took a deep breath before speaking. "Daniel, I'm so sorry to tell you this, but...your father didn't make it. He passed away during surgery."

Daniel's world went black as he heard the news. He felt like he had been punched in the gut, and he couldn't breathe. He stumbled backwards, and his mother caught him, holding him in her arms as he collapsed into tears.

"Daniel, I'm so sorry," his mother whispered, holding him close. "I'm here for you, son. We'll get through this together."As the days passed, Daniel's family and friends continued to arrive at the hospital to pay their respects. Alex and his girlfriend, as well as Roselle, all came to offer their condolences.

A month later, the day of Mr. Richard's funeral arrived. Daniel, still grieving the loss of his father, stood at the front of the church, delivering a eulogy to the packed crowd.

As the service came to a close, Daniel's phone buzzed in his pocket. He ignored it, not wanting to be distracted from the moment.

But as he was walking out of the church, he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to check his phone. He pulled it out and saw that he had received a message from an unknown number.

Curious, Daniel opened the message and was shocked to see a video attachment. He clicked on it, and a video began to play, showing the accident that had killed his father and put Maya in a coma.

At first, Daniel didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary. He had seen the accident report, and it had seemed like a tragic but unavoidable collision.

But as he watched the video more closely, he started to notice something strange. The other car had seemed to swerve into his father's lane on purpose.

Daniel's eyes narrowed as he realized the truth. The accident hadn't been an accident at all. It had been intentional.

A wave of anger and shock washed over Daniel. Who could have done such a thing? And why?

Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, Daniel decided to investigate the accident further. He would leave no stone unturned in his quest for justice.

As he stood there, his phone still clutched in his hand, Daniel made a vow to himself. He would find out who had killed his father and put Maya in a coma, and he would make them pay.Daniel and his siblings, Alex and Roselle, spent six years investigating their father's death, but they couldn't find any leads. They hired private investigators, scoured through security footage, and interviewed witnesses, but every trail seemed to end in a dead-end.

Despite the lack of progress, Daniel never gave up on finding justice for his father. However, he also knew that he couldn't let the investigation consume his life. He had a business to run and a wife to care for, even if she was still in a coma.

So, after six years of investigating, Daniel decided to put the case aside and focus on building his empire. He threw himself into his work, expanding his business and making new connections.

One day, as he was sitting in his office, lost in thought, he received a message on his phone. The message was simple: "Meet me at the old warehouse at 2 pm. Come alone."

Daniel's curiosity was piqued. He hadn't been to the old warehouse in years, not since it had been converted into a coffee shop. He wondered who could be behind the message and what they wanted.

At 2 pm, Daniel arrived at the coffee shop. He looked around, but he didn't see anyone he recognized. Just as he was about to leave, he noticed a beautiful girl sitting in the corner, sipping a cup of coffee. She looked up and caught his eye, beckoning him over.

Daniel walked over to her table, feeling a sense of trepidation. "Can I help you?" he asked.

The girl smiled and introduced herself as Lidia. "Please, sit down," she said. "I've been waiting for you."

Daniel sat down, feeling a sense of unease. "What's this about?" he asked.

Lidia leaned forward, her eyes locked on his. "I know what happened to your father," she said. "I know who was behind the accident that killed him."

Daniel's heart skipped a beat. "Who?" he demanded.

Lidia took a deep breath before speaking. "It was Jin Woo," she said. "He was the mastermind behind the accident."

Daniel's eyes widened in shock. Jin Woo was the son of Mr. Drake, the man who had apologized to Daniel for his son's behavior all those years ago. Daniel had never suspected that Jin Woo was capable of something so heinous.

"Why are you telling me this?" Daniel asked Lidia.

Lidia smiled. "Because I want to help you get justice for your father," she said. "And I want to help you bring down Jin Woo and his family."Daniel's eyes narrowed as he listened to Lidia's revelation. He had finally found out who was behind his father's death, and he was determined to make them pay.

But Daniel was a calculated and patient man. He didn't rush into action, instead choosing to carry out his plans carefully and meticulously.

He began to gather more information about Jin Woo and his family, looking for any weaknesses or vulnerabilities that he could exploit. He also started to build a team of allies, people who shared his desire for justice and were willing to help him take down Jin Woo and his family.

As Daniel delved deeper into his investigation, he discovered a shocking truth. Jin Woo was not the real mastermind behind his father's death. The true puppeteer was a man named Do-Yun, a ruthless and cunning businessman who had been secretly manipulating Jin Woo and his family all along.

Do-Yun was a ghost, a shadowy figure who operated in the darkness, pulling the strings and orchestrating the downfall of his enemies. Daniel had never even heard of him before, but now he knew that Do-Yun was the real enemy, the one who had destroyed his family and ruined his life.

Daniel's anger and determination burned hotter than ever before. He was more determined than ever to take down Do-Yun and his empire, to make him pay for what he had done.

But Daniel knew that it wouldn't be easy. Do-Yun was a powerful and well-connected man, with a network of loyal allies and operatives at his disposal. Daniel would have to be clever and resourceful if he was going to take him down.

The game was on, and Daniel was ready to play. He would stop at nothing to bring Do-Yun to justice and avenge his father's death. The battle for revenge had begun. As Daniel dug deeper into Do-Yun's life, he discovered a shocking secret. Sophia, his former classmate, was married to Do-Yun. Daniel couldn't believe it. He had always thought of Sophia as a kind and gentle soul, but now he wondered if he had misjudged her.

But as he learned more about Sophia's situation, Daniel realized that she was not happy in her marriage. In fact, she had been forced into it by her parents, who had been blinded by Do-Yun's wealth and power.

Sophia had given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, but despite her outward appearance of happiness, Daniel could sense that she was miserable. He wondered how someone as sweet and innocent as Sophia had ended up with a monster like Do-Yun.

Daniel's heart went out to Sophia, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards her. He knew that he had to help her, to free her from the clutches of Do-Yun.

But how? Do-Yun was a powerful man, with connections to the highest echelons of society. Daniel knew that he would have to be careful, to plan his moves carefully, if he was going to help Sophia and bring Do-Yun down.

As he pondered his next move, Daniel couldn't help but think about the twins. They were innocent, caught in the middle of their parents' toxic relationship. Daniel knew that he had to act, not just for Sophia's sake, but for the sake of the children as well.

With a newfound sense of determination, Daniel set out to gather more information about Do-Yun's operation. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to risk everything to help Sophia and bring Do-Yun to justice.Daniel put his plan into action, determined to bring down Do-Yun's empire and free Sophia from her loveless marriage. His first step was to gather evidence of Do-Yun's infidelity, something that would give Sophia the upper hand in a divorce.

Daniel spent weeks gathering intel, following Do-Yun's movements and tracking his interactions with various women. And then, one day, he finally got his break.

Daniel caught Do-Yun red-handed, having an affair with a married woman in his office. He took photos and videos, documenting every detail of the encounter.

With the evidence in hand, Daniel knew he had the upper hand. He contacted Sophia and arranged a meeting with her, where he revealed the evidence he had gathered.

Sophia was devastated, but also relieved. She had known that Do-Yun was cheating on her, but she had never had the proof she needed to take action.

With Daniel's help, Sophia filed for divorce, citing Do-Yun's infidelity as the reason for the split. Do-Yun was furious, but he knew he was beaten. He couldn't deny the evidence, and he knew that Sophia would get a significant portion of his wealth in the divorce settlement.

As the divorce proceedings played out, Daniel watched with satisfaction. He had taken the first step in bringing down Do-Yun's empire, and he knew that Sophia was finally free from her loveless marriage.

But Daniel's work was far from over. He knew that Do-Yun would stop at nothing to destroy him and Sophia, and he was determined to stay one step ahead. The battle between Daniel and Do-Yun was far from over, and Daniel was ready for whatever came next. After the divorce, Sophia took the children to a distant county to live for a while, seeking a fresh start and a chance to rebuild their lives. As part of the divorce settlement, Sophia took half of Do-Yun's wealth and business empire, leaving him with a significantly reduced fortune.

But Do-Yun didn't seem to care. He knew that he couldn't deny the evidence of his infidelity, and he seemed to accept the consequences of his actions.

Meanwhile, Daniel put his second plan into action. He had been digging deeper into Do-Yun's secrets, and he had uncovered some shocking information.

Firstly, Daniel discovered that Do-Yun was having an affair with the president's wife. This was a scandal of epic proportions, and Daniel knew that it could bring down the entire government.

Secondly, Daniel found out that Do-Yun was the head of a powerful criminal organization. He had been using his wealth and influence to cover up his illegal activities, but Daniel had finally uncovered the truth.

Thirdly, Daniel discovered that Do-Yun had affairs with several beautiful politicians' wives. This was a pattern of behavior that showed Do-Yun's complete disregard for the law and for the well-being of others.

Finally, Daniel found out that Do-Yun was a killer. He had been involved in several murders, using his wealth and influence to cover up his crimes.

Daniel knew that he had enough evidence to bring Do-Yun down. He decided to take his findings to the authorities, hoping to get Do-Yun arrested and brought to justice.

But as Daniel was about to make his move, he received a warning from an unknown source. "Be careful, Daniel," the message read. "Do-Yun has many powerful friends, and they will stop at nothing to protect him."

Daniel knew that he was taking a risk by going after Do-Yun. But he was determined to see justice served, no matter the cost.
