Raya sat beside rick while yawning....
Remember dad was asking Lex to make a good relation with the KS Corporation??apparently he is the youngest shareholder.. Lex is supposed to be at his welcoming party..
Rick replied switching the TV off and asked" why are you up so late?!"
" owh i was just discussing the interior with Ron.Did you get an invite to that party? How do you know Lex is there?
"Lex told me in the afternoon. I remember talking to that boy. He was so little. I don't remember his face. That was the last time I was present in any business meetings.So it's natural that they forgot dad has another son. I'm happy they did. It would be a bother to attend those kind of gathering and talking to people. "
" Does that make you happy?? Being lonely. "
" There is no conditions to be happy. You are happy
if you want to be happy. Besides I'm not lonely. I just prefer to be alone since it's more peaceful and calm this way. "
" Whatever makes you happy, I'm okay with it. Just don't disappear from my sight. That's all I want. I'm gonna turn in. Don't be late to go to bed. You'll get dark circles around your eyes old man. "Raya laughed and left his brother downstairs...
" hump.. I'm not that old"Rick mumbled and picked up a magazine to read from the table.
It was almost three in the morning and Rick was feeling sleepy so he got up to go to bed but heard a car pulled up in the garage. He guessed it was Lex.
He stopped to wish his brother a good night and ask how the gathering went so he stood by the stair.....
The door didn't open for a while and suddenly rick heard a doorbell... He wondered why lex would knock on the door instead of just burging in like usual.... So he started walking towards the door..
After a few second he heard lex's voice,
"Ow i think i can manage now, thanks".. Then the door opened and Rick saw someone was standing by the door beside lex.
Rick went ahead and grabbed lex by the hand as he was stambling and put him down on sofa...
Lex explained how he was drunk and the other guy is there to drop him off in a shaky voice while closing his eyes... He ultimately fell asleep on the sofa covering his eyes with his hand...
Rick put a blanket on him and removed his shoes. Then it strucked him that someone was by the door... After putting lex's shoes down he immediately went to the door to appreciate the help..
Scince it was dark outside he couldn't saw the face of the person clearly and the guy was a few inches taller than him so it made more difficult to catch a glance.
Rick initiated talking, "would you like to come inside and have something to drink? "
The guy replied with a deep voice but low tone "it's alright, i need to leave right now."
Rick said "what a shame. I appreciate that you brought him here. He could be a bother sometimes. But i know he doesn't bite. He might have had too many", to break the awkwardness between them.
"it wasn't a big deal" the guy said.
"it would've made me happy it i could make you a cup of coffee." rick shighed and said.
"may be some other time, have a good night" the guy said and left...
Rick was looking at the silleought of the guy who was giving off some prominent type of aura and mesmerized how someone could be even attractive from just by a shadow.
Rick heard the guys car leaving and closed the door to turn in for the night.
As rick was laying on his bed he was wondering if lex was uncomfortable in that party that he had to drink too much or anyone had bullied him. Then he mumbled to himself
"ahh that guy saved lex, if he was to be drunk driving there could have been another scandal and dad would have been so furious. It's a sensitive time for the corporation anyway. It's a shame i couldn't thank that guy properly."
Then he drifted off to sleep....
