Strider awoke in a peculiar, otherworldly realm, shrouded in an endless sea of fog. The air carried a surreal stillness, as though time itself had come to a standstill. Confusion swirled within him, but before long, a presence made itself known—a voice emanating from the void. It introduced itself as the System Spirit, the guide of a unique and mysterious entity known as the Demon God Simulator.
The System Spirit explained the nature of the space around him. This was the System Space, a dimension designed to connect Strider to countless simulated worlds, known as Copy Worlds. These worlds were not mere illusions but immersive, full-dive simulations where he could experience life, challenges, and battles from a perspective unique to each world. Each time he perished in a Copy World, the system would return him to this foggy System Space, allowing him to regroup, strategize, and prepare for the next challenge.
The system offered a reward-based progression mechanism. Strider would earn points based on his performance in these Copy Worlds, determined by the percentage of completion and the quality of his decisions. The greater the success, the more points he would accumulate. These points served as a currency within the System Space, unlocking resources, abilities, and knowledge to aid him on his journey.
The true goal of the Demon God Simulator was ambitious and daunting. Its purpose was to elevate its host—Strider—to the highest realms of power within the demonic hierarchy. However, there was a critical condition: the host had to embrace the essence of a demon to proceed. A score above 90% completion in a Copy World would trigger significant growth, advancing him toward the highest demon realm he attains in the simulated copy world.
As Strider absorbed this knowledge, a notification from the system informed him that he had received a novice pack containing 100 points as a gift. Intrigued by the possibilities, he explored the System Space and came across an intriguing item for sale: the Demon God Catalogue. Driven by curiosity, he purchased it.
The Demon God Catalogue was no ordinary book. It radiated an aura of power and mystery, drawing Strider's focus entirely. Upon opening the first page, he discovered a list of various demonic archetypes, each accompanied by detailed descriptions of their origins, transformation rituals, and potential evolution paths. However, there was a catch: every subsequent page required an incremental cost of 100 points to unlock, making progression through the catalogue a strategic decision.
The first page alone was a treasure trove of information. It detailed several types of demons, each with unique characteristics and evolutionary potential. Among them were:
Skeletal Demon: A form that required the host to embrace the essence of decay and mortality. Its evolution path promised resilience and brute strength, capable of evolving into Neco-Emperor as it's final form.
Ghost Demon: A spectral entity transcending the physical realm. This type offered unparalleled stealth and an eventual evolution to the ethereal Ghost Emperor.
Fiendling: A demon born of pure malice, excelling in raw aggression and chaos.
It's final form leads to the all-powerful fiend Emperor.
Infernal Imp: A mischievous and cunning demon with abilities tied to flame and shadow, capable of evolving into a Emperor of Fire.
There are many demon categories with their respective potential among which these four stood out the most as their ritual is reasonable as well as their potential leads to Emperor realm, which according to system rivals even the most powerful gods.
Each demon type came with a ritual process that allowed a human to transform into that specific form. These rituals varied in complexity, danger, and requirements. The catalogue also outlined the potential evolutionary paths for each demon, highlighting their ultimate forms, which were capable of rivaling the power of gods.
For further evolution path of these demon it is necessary to move to the next page of demon god catalogue which need more points to move on to the next page.
Among the many names of demon present in the first page some are marked with red mark according to system spirit which means this evolution path is a dead end meaning that an demon god realm powerhouse is already taken that evolution path so there is nothing only Abyss at the end of that path.
Because only one individual can wear the crown of demon god in a respective path of evolution.
Meaning if there is already exists a Fiend Emperor than the path leading to fiend Emperor will only lead to Abyss.
The Skeletal Demon offered brute strength, but its evolutionary path seemed too linear and heavily reliant on physical combat. The Infernal Imp intrigued him with its cunning and versatility, yet its potential didn't seem to reach the heights he desired. After much deliberation, Strider's attention fixated on the Ghost Demon, particularly the Ghostling, its initial form.
The Ghostling stood out for several reasons:
Simplicity of Ritual: The transformation process from human to Ghostling was straightforward compared to the intricate and dangerous rituals of other demons.
Evolution Potential: The Ghostling had the unique ability to evolve into a Ghost Emperor, a being that could rival the realm of a Demon God.
Stealth and Versatility: As a spectral entity, the Ghostling would possess unparalleled stealth and the ability to manipulate the ethereal plane, giving it an edge in both survival and combat.
