Synopsis
* * * Since the beginning of time, when human life spawned on the earth, they had always spoken words of warning to those who worked in the shadows, in secret. "There's always something watching you." "You think no one knows? Well, that's a lie." "He's watching you." "If you're doing something in secret, remember, you have to look around because there's always someone watching." Words and claims such as these, said by humans, driven by nothing more than belief, are what gave fruit to an omniscient being. He saw all, knowing the deeds of everyone and everything. But since everything associated with humans was unintentional and without details, he became as such. He was devoid of everything, his only function being to watch. But as time went on, he grew, his powers multiplying as the human population increased. After a few millennia, he became immortal, his power unmatched, even by that of the gods. He could see everything, even the actions of the gods themselves. But his lack of character caused him to remain mute, just watching as things played out. His unparalleled power sparked hatred in the hearts of some of the evil gods, as they felt anxious about the fact that there was one who could see them at all times. The hatred in their hearts fueled their desire to eliminate this being. Hence, through their deceitful ways, they convinced the greatest and most powerful among all the gods, the god of creation himself, and banded together. Since he was a godly being and an immortal, killing him wasn't an option. Hence, they stripped him of his immortality, sending him into the realm of humans, such that he could be killed by them. But things didn't go as planned. The now-mortal omniscient being survived and grew within the harsh world the gods placed him in. Want to find out how he did it? And now, gaining emotions, his actions towards the gods who tried to kill him? Join me as I narrate the story of The Mortal Life of an Omniscient Being.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: Return

"Hm, I finally made it back,"

a man who looked to be in his early twenties said with a confident and carefree tone.

His unique characteristics were his white hair and eyes that seemed red from the distance, but in actuality bore different colors.

He wore a suit that covered his entire body, making him appear as a business personnel, looking more like a neat assassin by the emotionless face he wore.

He stood in a place that looked like the clouds themselves, nothing but white fluffy dense substance covered the entire area, flowing in from the distance like mist, seemingly becoming denser as they reached their destination.

He stood atop the material, not showing a hint of fear or discomfort, as if he knew they weren't going to collapse.

Within this snowy plane were what seemed to be gates, thousands of them randomly placed in the surroundings. The gates were also made from this mysterious cloud-like peculiar mist, which radiated blue hues gathering within them.

"I know you can hear me! Show yourselves!"

He continued, his tone and expression unchanging, and he didn't even bother to look around to check if someone was coming.

"You're finally here!"

A voice that stormed like thunder echoed through the entire plane. One of the gates behind the suited man radiated an intense glow, seemingly opening up as a figure walked out.

He looked like a god, also bearing white hair, with a bushy yet well-kept beard adorning his face, which resembled that of an old man.

He wore Roman-style white robes, neatly tucked at the shoulder with a pendant bearing a tree on it.

"Okay, that's one. So where are your buddies?"

The coated man said, not seeming intimidated by the godly figure that had joined him in the cloud plane.

"We're here!"

A voice that roared like a raging lion sounded off.

Four more figures, each bearing different statures but clothed in the same style of clothing, emerged out of different gates like the one that had come before them. As they all arranged themselves behind the human.

"So, why do you summon us?"

The first to appear asked, looking down on the human, who seemed like an ant before him.

"Now that you're here, are you planning to kill us?"

"We can clearly see you've regained your power."

Two others added to the first's statement as the sound of a sword being drawn echoed.

Still not showing a hint of intimidation, the human replied.

"I even forgot your names, but I do know your works well."

"God of creation, to your question, I answer. I'm here for two reasons."

"God of secrets, I'm not here to kill you. If that was the case, you'd already be dead."

"How dare you, insignificant human, you dare threaten us gods!"

One of the gods who had remained silent spoke out, his voice bringing a dark aura to the meeting.

"To the god of lies, yes, I've regained the power you all stripped away from me."

"To the god of deceit, your silence speaks all I need to hear."

"Finally, to the god of darkness himself, know your place!"

He said, finally taking his hands out of his pocket and turning to the gods.

"Boom!"

A staff appeared in the hand of the god of creation as he hit it on the ground, signaling the other gods to stand down.

"Well, I came here for one purpose, and that purpose can be achieved in two ways. The first is, I kill all of you standing here right now, and the second is we negotiate."

He said, as he removed his watch, placing it in his pocket.

"We'll go for the second option," the god of creation spoke for all the gods.

"Okay, so the deal is, you give me all your powers, and I spare your lives."

"How dare you say such words? It seems living amongst the humans has brought some insanity within you,"

the god of creation said, as rage evolved in his eyes.

"Oh, I'm not taking the power for myself. I'll just give them to people who I know will do the jobs better than you."

The human said, still bearing his emotionless demeanor.

"Your insolence shall not be tolerated amongst the gods, human."

The god of creation pressed on, as the others remained quiet, weapons of various sorts appearing in their arms.

"It was your fault in the first place. I never had an issue with any of you, especially you, god of creation. Yet you decided to conspire with these evil gods to strip me of my immortality."

"The good news is, while I was human, I saw how bad you were at your own jobs, and I also met people who I know can do it better than you."

"That's enough!" The god of creation roared, lifting his staff from the ground as a bolt of lightning shot out of it, aimed toward the human.

As the mist that was formed cleared, they saw the human still standing, unscathed by the attack.

"I'm not done talking, you know. Have some dignity."

The human said, finally flashing his first glance at the god. His eyes were filled with hate and murderous intent.

His sudden outburst of power calmed as he reverted to his emotionless state, continuing his speech.

"You see, stripping me of my immortality was your greatest mistake. So sadly, you couldn't get rid of my powers, and having them amongst the humans has taught me several ways to use them."

"Haaa, I don't feel like talking anymore. So then, what's your choice? Note: if you choose the first option, I can guarantee this: me walking out of this battle, leaving behind all your corpses with your powers in my hand."

"So, almighty beings, please choose wisely."

He said with a mocking tone as he bowed his head in a princely manner, a devilish grin spreading widely on his face.

"How dare you!"

The god of creation exclaimed as all the gods drew out their weapons, preparing to attack.
