Chapter 1 - Centenary Foundation Establishment, More Children And More Blessings

In a sprawling mountain villa that covered more than 10,000 acres, there was an air of festivity.

Guests arrived in waves, each one bringing with them lavish gifts. Today marked the day of the breakthrough to the foundation establishment realm for the ancestor of the Li family. To the uninitiated, the significance of this event might seem obscure, but it was a momentous occasion for the Li family and the world at large.

For the untrained eye, the process of Foundation Establishment might seem like the simple completion of a rite. But for those with a deeper understanding, it was far more than that. Once a person completed the Foundation Establishment, they were no longer considered a mere mortal.

In the eyes of ordinary folk, a cultivator who has achieved Qi Refining might already seem godlike. However, those who managed to reach Foundation Establishment were considered rare beings, so far removed from common life that their existence seemed unattainable.

The patriarch of the Li family had reached this level, making him one of the few "immortals" who could still interact with the mortal world. His ability to appear as a living, breathing person was a source of awe for the common people. This made the event even more extraordinary, as the presence of such an immortal could only be hoped for, but not easily attained.

The influx of guests today was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon closer inspection, one might notice a peculiar trend among the visitors: many of them were accompanied by beautiful young women, their faces glowing with both excitement and nervousness.

A wealthy businessman, his robe shimmering with gold thread, leaned over to his daughter and whispered in her ear.

"Yue'er, although the patriarch of the Li family is already over a hundred years old, he is a fairy. His appearance is that of a young man, no older than twenty, and his presence is as commanding as that of a dragon or a phoenix. You must behave well today. If you can catch his eye, perhaps he'll take you as a concubine, and our family will thrive."

He wasn't the only one offering such advice. The reasoning was simple: among the "immortals," the ancestor of the Li family was a rare exception. Most immortals, after achieving a high level of cultivation, often withdrew from worldly affairs, dedicating themselves solely to their craft. They would sever all ties with women, even refusing to marry or have children.

But the Li family patriarch, Li Su, had defied tradition. After reaching immortality, he had taken concubines nearly every year—sometimes even several in a single year. Despite being over a hundred years old, Li Su still possessed the youthful appearance of a man in his twenties, and his majestic aura made him irresistible to many.

What made him even more legendary was his treatment of these women. While some immortals treated their concubines coldly or distantly, Li Su was different. Every woman he took under his wing was treated with kindness and respect. Even if they couldn't follow him on the path to immortality, they were granted a life of luxury, wealth, and influence.

Today, Li Su sat at the head of the grand banquet, surrounded by his descendants, basking in their well-wishes. His mood was light. After a century of painstaking cultivation, the moment of his breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment realmhad finally arrived, marking the beginning of a new phase in his life.

Though it had taken him a full hundred years to reach the Foundation Establishment stage, Li Su knew that the difference in his strength and status was monumental. A cultivator at this level was already someone who commanded immense respect in the Immortal World. In his region, his status was considered exceedingly high. Many who had heard of his achievements called him "senior" in reverence, an honor few mortals could ever dream of.

Another reason for his contentment was the return of his children and grandchildren. When he had first arrived in this world, he was but a twenty-year-old boy, alone in a strange land. Now, eighty years later, he was surrounded by thousands of descendants. His children alone numbered in the hundreds, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren even more.

The Li family's prosperity could be attributed to Li Su's unrelenting dedication to taking concubines and expanding his bloodline. Over the years, he had taken more than a hundred wives, each one bearing him multiple children. This was the foundation of the Li family's immense population and wealth, and if the current rate continued, the family would grow even larger in the years to come.

The reason for Li Su's prolific nature was simple. When he had first arrived in this world—a place where immortals and gods truly existed—he had not been content to live the short life of a mortal. He wanted more. He desired immortality, to become a cultivator himself and eventually ascend to become an immortal being, a god.

However, there was one significant problem: Li Su's Spiritual Roots were practically non-existent. Without proper Spiritual Roots, no amount of practice or effort could sustain the necessary Spiritual Qi. Despite having access to resources and cultivation methods, Li Su knew it would be impossible to complete the Foundation Establishment on his own in his lifetime.

But as a transmigrator, fate had not entirely closed the door on him. It had, in fact, opened a much larger one. Li Su had been gifted with a special "Gold Finger"—a system designed specifically for travelers like him.

This system, however, was unusual. It was called the "System of Many Children, Many Blessings." Each time Li Su had a child, his lifespan and cultivation would grow, albeit at a modest rate. The first generation of children provided the most substantial benefits, with each son or daughter adding one year to his life and one year to his cultivation. The benefits of grandchildren and great-grandchildren were halved each generation, but they still contributed in small ways.

Although Li Su's descendants were numerous, only one of them possessed Spiritual Roots strong enough to cultivate immortality—a rare, but not entirely unheard-of occurrence. Generally speaking, if two immortal cultivators mated, their offspring had a better chance of inheriting Spiritual Roots. The stronger the cultivators, the higher the chances. But most female immortals were so consumed by their own cultivation that they had no desire for family, let alone for children.

Li Su, however, had a different approach. While he could not marry a true immortal—his own Spiritual Roots were far too weak for such an alliance—he was more than willing to take on mortal women as concubines. Over the past eighty years, he had married dozens of beautiful women, all of whom were treated with care and affection. Despite his many marriages, each woman was devoted to him, grateful for the life of luxury he had provided.

"My Foundation Establishment is 10% complete, but it won't take long to reach Golden Core," Li Su thought, smiling as he greeted his family members.

It had taken him many decades to perfect the process of cultivating enough descendants to reach this point, but now, the rewards were starting to manifest. After all, once he had reached the Qi Refining stage, he was seen as a "fairy" by the common folk, and that made it much easier to take in more concubines. Now, with thousands of descendants, Li Su's life had extended well beyond the normal human limit, and his cultivation had reached the level of a Nascent Soul cultivator.

Yet, the challenge remained—Li Su's Spiritual Roots. Even with the system's assistance, they were still insufficient for reaching a true immortal level of cultivation. However, the system had provided a way forward: by continuing to have children with Spiritual Roots, he could gradually improve his own.
