Chapter 1 - Unplanned marriage

After what happened to me on my eighteenth birthday, I never trusted anybody. I haven't dated any guy or even fallen in love with any guy because of what I went through. I was raped that day by the guy I trusted so much. He was just a quiet and calm person, that's why I couldn't believe he could do such a thing to me.

I had a child for him, but he is nowhere to be found. I got married with so much pain, and I wish the child had a father.

My name is Jasmine Allan. I'm a kind of person that says few words. I talk less, but get angry easily. Some of my friends that have been with me confirm that I'm arrogant. I know that I'm not like this before; the guy brought out a monster in me.

It has been years now. I have been receiving gifts recently, I don't know who sent them.

I asked my father, and he said it was my fiancé.

I was surprised because I don't know any man who loved me in the past. I was so angry and didn't want to talk to my father. He called me, but I didn't want to answer him.

A few days after the argument, my father told me that his visitor was coming, maybe my future father-in-law. I sat down separately, and my father told me to sit close to him, but I refused and sat on my own.

"I have never disobeyed my father before, and I think I should give it a try," I said.

"Why are you being so stubborn?" my father asked.

"Dad, I hope it's not about that guy you call my fiancé," I said, standing up angrily.

"Jasmine, sit down," my father said, and I sat back down.

"I'm sorry about the gifts my son has been sending to you," Mr. Tyler Bryan said.

"He's been in love with you before he left for Spain. He told me to keep an eye on you, and if any other man were to marry you, he would end his life."

I was shocked.

"Mr. Tylor Bryan? You're my fiancé's father?"

"I'm telling you, Jasmine, my son loves you," my father said.

"But I don't want to get married, and I don't like him," I said firmly.

"His son is a young guy who loves you, honey," my father said.

"I will not marry anybody, and that's final," I said, standing up.

"You will not stay under my roof with your daughter and get old," my father shouted at me.

"Then we will leave," I said, running upstairs with tears.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Tylor," my father said.

"My daughter is not like this. The best thing to do is to tell your son to come back to America."

"I will tell him," Mr. Tylor Bryan said.

"Maybe that's the best way. He can win her over himself. I won't force a girl to marry my son."

"Yes, maybe she will fall for him," my father said with a smile. "He's a handsome guy, and I know he's her type."

"I will get going," Mr. Tylor Bryan said. "He will meet her later."

Some days later, the lover boy came back. Well, he's handsome, but he's not my type. I do a babysitting job because I love kids, including my daughter, whom I love so much.

I was alone with the kids when the doorbell rang.

"Hold on, kids, I'll get the door," I said. I wondered who the person could be. I smiled and opened the door, and I saw a strange guy wearing glasses.

"Mi amor" he said, "I miss you so much. How have you been, my love?" he asked, and I was confused.

"What are you talking about, mister?" I asked, and he came in.

"Wow, nice house," he smiled, looking around.

"Did I tell you to come in?" I asked, trying to push him out of the house, but he pulled me close to him.

I tried to push him out again, but he held on tight. Little Alex was troubling my daughter, Eunice.

"Alex, stop that! Let her go!" I shouted.

The guy still held me, and little Alex looked worried.

"I said," and the guy said,

"Wow, I'm also Alex. Mostly, Alex doesn't shout or look for trouble. We are nice people."

Just then, little Alex's father came in because the door was open.

"I'm sorry, I didn't knock," he said.

Little Alex hugged his father.

"Is he your fiancé, Jasmine?" the boy's father asked.

And to my surprise, Alex answered,

"Yes, she's my fiancée and we are getting married soon."

Then, little Alex's father said,

"Make sure you invite me to your wedding, Jasmine."

"I Don't wanna go, Dad! Don't wanna go home!" little Alex said.

"You will come here tomorrow after school, I promise you," his father said, and they left.

"Let me go!" I struggled to get out of the grip of the young man.

"I heard you," he said, still holding me. I slapped him.

"Mommy, is it my daddy?" Eunice asked.

I shouted at her, "Don't shout at her, she's your daughter! Where is the father, dead or alive?" the guy asked.

"I won't answer that question. Let me go!" I pushed him roughly, and he took off his glasses.

"You are not like this when we first met," he said.

"First met? Did I know you?" I asked.

"No, I couldn't come to your birthday. I went to Spain that day, I bought a necklace, and I gave it to my father."

"Ah, I remember! So it was you!" I exclaimed.

"Yes, I'm the guy. I was Kelvin then, but not now. I will leave now. I only came to meet my fiancée." He tried to brush his lips against mine, and I pushed him off.

"Don't do that!" I said rudely.

He smirked and said,

"My real name is Alex" He said and left

"Oh my God!" I gasped sharply and sat on the couch, lost in thought. I didn't wear the necklace that day. I put it in the trash can because I was angry.

"Miss Jasmine, why are you sad?" Kiora asked, and the three other kids came to me.

"Kiora, I'm not sad. I'm happy as long as I have all of you," I said sharply, but ended up smiling.

The door opened, and it was my brother

He came in, saying,

"She thinks I'm a fool. Fuck her, she's a psyco. She's beautiful but unlucky." He seem upset, maybe he didn't notice us.

"Hey, Jake!" Eunice shouted, and he turned.

"Hey, baby! I didn't see you guys." He smiled and came over.

"Hello, Joey, Snelson, Kiora." He smiled at them and picked Eunice up

"Who is that girl?" I asked him.

"She's a transfer student, and she forced me to get into her car so her driver could drop me off." He sneered, and I smiled.

"She's a nice person," I said, smiling.

"No, she's not," Jake replied.

"What about Alex? He's handsome, lucky, rich, and a nice guy. He loves you so much."

"If you don't want me to shout at you, stop telling me that Sophie is a nice girl. She's rough, look, she even kissed my cheeks!" He sneered.

"Yes, she left her lip mark on your cheek." I smiled.

Jake cleaned off the lipstick mark, and the kids laughed. He put Eunice down.

"I don't like her," Jake sneered and went upstairs.

My father kept pushing me to marry Alexander, but I didn't want to. I kept abusing the guy, but he loved me more and more each time.

My father betrayed me, Alex father and my father fixed the wedding date without telling me. My father told me a day before the wedding and showed me my wedding dress. I cried like never before. I couldn't control my emotions."

I remembered how Maxwell raped me, and blood was everywhere. I loved that guy, but he betrayed me. But what was I going to do? Everybody knew that tomorrow was my wedding, and if I didn't show up, my family members would be disgraced.

I will do it, but I will never fall in love with Alexander. We got married, but I will never take it lightly with him. If he dares to touch me...

On our wedding night, he tried to be friendly. I wasn't answering any of his questions, but he kept asking, and I remained mute.

"What will I do to make you happy, my love?" he asked, pulling me close to himself.

"Stay away from me. Don't touch me, and you will be happy forever," I said.

"So, where are we going for our honeymoon?" he asked, and I smiled.

"Honeymoon? Just don't talk about it," he said, looking at me.

"What do you like in a relationship and what do you hate in a relationship?" he asked again.

"I came, and you won't let me breathe. I hate you, and I like myself," I said.

"Okay, good and fine. Alex is not...all men. I'm different. We are married now. Tell me, why are you not happy? I promise to make it up to you," he said.

"Stop being nice to me. I want you to hate me. Stop loving me!" I shouted.

"I won't stop loving you. You grew in my heart. I love every bit of you," he said, smiling, And Come closer to me while he touch my nightwear. You look like an angel in that nightwear."

"Mind your business," I said, lying on the left side of the bed, covering my exposed leg with the duvet.

He looked lost. "Do not come near. Find another place to stay," I sneered.

He sighed and lay down on the other side of the bed
