Max woke up in and he all he saw was a clear blue sky but someone stepped in his field of vision and it was a girl with white hair and skin and red eyes though the most eye catching thing was that she had scales and a tail and she was barefoot.
This was moline she was his adopted sister and she was once human but now she is a pure soul she was adopted into the family and despite being years older than max she looked up to him as a brother figure.
Moline: you okay?
Max just put a hand to his forehead to ease the headache.
Max: I have a killer headache. What the hell happened?
Moline: well remember that you investigating who was causing the disappearances and well you found the guy and he had the ability to open portals.
Max: so where are we?
Moline: well I don't think we are in our world anymore.
Max: what do you mean?
Moline: look up and see for yourself.
He got up and he saw some unique pigeons but they looked different and he felt some form of power.
Max: what in the?
Moline: see what I mean? Those pigeons are strong well not enough that they are a threat but still.
He completely stood up and he dusted his clothes and it was showed that max was taller than moline.
Max: so what do we do?
Moline: well first we need to figure out were are we and then we will see what happens.
Max: alright.
Max walked away and moline disappeared in white particles and the pigeons saw the whole thing but they flew away thinking that moline was a Pokémon.
Max was running towards the woods jumping and parkouring his way unlike normal human max was trained to become an exorcist and he learned from the best.
So traveling through woods was like child's play.
He stopped because at the end of the forest was civilization with building and this was good because now he can get some answer on where he was.
He continued his way towards civilization but his precise will shake the Pokémon world.
When max got into the city it was named virbank city so now max has to find somewhere to find information and while he was walking around he saw people with those creatures but now some looked more unique some where strong and some weren't and they seem to get along like pets and their owners it was pretty wild to look.
But that's coming from some who has spirits for family.
He made his way towards an Internet cafe and he was allowed to use on the computers and he could tell that it was pretty advanced but that aside apparently these creatures are called pokemon and apparently some people become trainers to win championships and tournaments.
This was in a way an interactive sport since apparently you can participate if you want to some trainers are like biologists and some just want to explore.
And there is the part of Pokemon battles how it works is that one trainer each take out one Pokemon and they have to give them orders on what to do and it's won when someone surrenders or all Pokemon are down.
When he was done with he leaned on the chair and proceeded the information and this is really another world but now the problem was how to go back home.
He search for Pokemon who can break the dimensional barrier but all he got were rumors and unconfirmed information.
Max: shit. Well at least I got something.
He paid for the cafe and when to walk around the city to clear his head but it was cut off when he saw two big Pokemon in a park or more like a field fighting it out.
One was a pillar bear looking Pokemon and the other was looked like a leopard he didn't know the name of these Pokemon but that was a side problem he just decided to watch the fight.
The two trainers gave each of their Pokémon's orders and he can tell that Leopard Pokemon was winning because the trainer of the pollar bear wasn't defending.
And so the leopard won and max's opinion on this style of fighting he honestly didn't like it.
Sure unlike most people here max has spiritual energy and he has combat experience but still this is like if someone was setting there dogs for war and there is no way he would treat his sister like a Pokemon.
He left the arena and went towards another part of the park and he felt the presence of 4 but one was stronger than the 3 he focused his senses and he felt that is was coming from the bush.
He saw a man with blue hair and a woman with purple ish hair and a cat with a golden trinket on its for head.
And they order two pokemon two shot at the bush and it revealed a pokemon with green looking hair with blue spots and a blue gem on its forehead and an earpiece looking thing on the side of its head and had a black looking dress.
The the cat pulled out something that looked like a rocket launcher and max decided to step in.
When the net was about to hit the green haired Pokemon max grabbed her and got her out of the way instead of fighting the three he decided to ran away because he didn't want to get any attention he enhanced his legs with spiritual powers and he ran out of the park and team rocket didn't have time to process what happened.
James: what just happened?
Max was parkouring his way through buildings and when he thought he was clear he stopped and looked back to make sure he was clear.
Max:phew. Looks like I got away from those bozos in time.
He put down the Pokemon in his arms and he could tell that she looked scared.
Max: hey I'm not gonna hurt you I just wanted to make sure you were alright.
Meloatta: why did you save me?
Max: isn't it obvious I just don't want those assholes to hurt you.
He saw how Meloatta had a shocked look on her face.
Meloatta: you can understand me?
Max: yeah? Isn't I?
Meloatta: no. Human can't understand Pokemon.
Max: so I'm the only one who can understand you?
Meloatta: I guess so but back to my question why did you helped me?
Max: did you want to get caught by those people?
Meloatta: of course not!
Max: then that's it you didn't want to go with them so I did you a favor.
Meloatta: I guess you have a point.
Max: so what should I call you?
Meloatta: I'm Meloatta.
Max: I see cute name well if you don't want stay by me I'll go.
Meloatta: wait no! Don't go!
Max: why?
Meloatta: I. I don't have anywhere to go and those people are after I don't know why.
Max: so what do you want to do?
Meloatta: well um you are the only person who didn't try attacking so can I stay by your side?
Max though about it for a while and he actually didn't mind but it would be the moline situation but unlike moline he can't exactly hide her.
Max: (hey moline what do you think?)
Moline: (well honestly she is pretty cute of course not as much as me but she looks like she might need some protection and she doesn't look like she has battle experience)
Max looked at Meloatta and he can sense that she is strong but from what he saw she doesn't seem experience in combat guess he will have to fix that.
Max: alright look you can come with me but you will need to take care of yourself eventually.
Meloatta: so is it a no?
Max: no I didn't say don't follow me I said that you will have to learn to take care of yourself in terms of fighting.
Meloatta: I've never been in a fight so I don't know if I'm going to be good.
Max: don't worry I'll teach you.
Meloatta: you will? Thank you so much.
Max: well you can thank me later right now we need to get off this roof.
Meloatta floated beside him and saw how tall the building was and the high is enough for a human to break there legs.
Max: not even a problem.
She saw how max vaulted over the fences and she was about to stop him but to her surprise max sprouted black wings and his fall slowed she was sure that humans didn't have such abilities.
She recovered and she floated down to his level.
Meloatta: how did you do that?
Max: that's my little secret.
Meloatta just pouted at him.
Meloatta: not fair!
Max: you have your secrets I have mine.
Meloatta: fine.
Max looked at the streets and he didn't want to get attention if someone is after her.
Meloatta noticed and she forgot to tell him that she can go invisible.
Meloatta: don't worry I can go invisible though I will have to take some time to recover.
Max: oh. Well that's pretty handy go ahead.
And so she did she went invisible but thanks to max's unique ability to see and sense souls he can see a silhouette of her.
Meloatta: you can go ahead I'll float behind you-oh I just realized that I never got your name.
Max: it's max McKnight pleasure to meet to meet you Meloatta.
He could tell that she had a smile on her face but he didn't want anyone to notice him talking to seemingly nothing.
Max: come on let's go.
With that they got out of the alley and Meloatta wasn't used to being around so many human and pokemon she looked back at max and she could tell that unlike the normal humans max felt different as if he was a different type of human all together.
Max went to buy a motel to stay temporarily until he figured out what to do sure he could become a trainer but he honestly wasn't sure if he was ready to change careers.
But luckily this city had some jobs and the one that looks pays for is the Pokemon center and so he guessed that he will have to use his healing energy a lot to make ends meet.
[for those who have a problem with max being able to understand Pokemon deal with it because I'm not repeating the Pokemon names it would give me a headache and plus unlike normal stories this guy will be fighting Pokemon and no there is no system so if anyone like a simple story well you might like this and the money thing if anyone saw Pokemon currently in the anime please name one time you saw it]
