Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue

In a chaotic world teeming with demons, a young demon lay battered, helpless, and weak. Tears streamed down his face as he watched the horror unfold before him: his family was being brutally murdered and devoured by a pack of monstrous devils.

"Stop! Please, just leave them alone! They're already dead!" he screamed, his voice cracking with desperation. Bloodshot eyes burned with anguish as he watched the devils rip his mother's legs from her cold, lifeless corpse. They laughed and jeered, their grotesque faces covered with blood. One of them was eating his fathers mutilated body with a look of ecstasy, while using his fathers head as a cup to drink blood from his corpse.

The boy's screams echoed throughout the area but the devils just carried on.

Crunch. Crunch. Gulp.

One of the devils, its reptilian skin a vivid, blood-red and marked with cryptic black symbols, turned to face the boy. Its laughter rumbled deep and guttural. "Why should we stop for you, little demon? You should be grateful they've chosen to feed us. In return, we've graciously spared your pitiful life. Kekeke."

"Spared me?" the boy spat, his fists trembling. "Don't lie. You devils would have killed them no matter what. You're monsters."

The red devil sneered, its long, ape-like arms twitching as it pointed a clawed finger at him. "Kekeke. You're not wrong. But tell me, do you know why we haven't devoured you yet?" It licked its lips, revealing sharp, jagged teeth. "You're nameless, little demon. And without a demon name, we can't touch you."

The boy's heart pounded. He stared at the devil, confused yet seething with anger.

"It's curious, really," the devil continued. "Most demons receive their names by the age of one. But you… You're thirteen and still nameless. It's… irritating." The devil's grin widened. "Such a waste, too. Demons your age are divine—so tender, so succulent. Imagine the screams you'd make as we tear you apart piece by piece. Kekeke. But alas, until you're named, you're untouchable. A shame, really."

Another devil stepped forward, this one with ashen-gray skin and thin, skeletal limbs etched with glowing white runes. "Don't worry, boy. We'll wait. The day your name is given, we'll return. And when we do, you'll beg for a quicker death than your parents received."

The boy clenched his jaw, his tears falling freely now. "You're monsters," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "What did we demons ever do to deserve this? We worshipped you. We treated you as gods. Why have you turned on us?"

The gray devil laughed, its voice sharp and mocking. "You think we cared about your worship? How quaint." Its grotesque face twisted into a sneer. "We never asked for your prayers or offerings. You demons were always food to us. The only reason we didn't feast on you sooner was because the gates between our worlds were sealed. But now, those gates have cracked open, and we're free to roam. Free to hunt. Free to devour."

Another devil, this one female, with insect-like limbs and blood dripping from her grotesque maw, leaned closer to the boy. Her voice was a chilling whisper. "We'll savor every moment of your suffering when the time comes. But for now, consider this a gift. Watch and remember how weak you were. How powerless you are."

The boy's hands balled into fists so tightly his nails drew blood. His gaze remained fixed on the devils as they continued their grisly feast, tearing his parents' bodies apart with savage glee. His anger simmered, threatening to boil over, but his body was too frail, too broken to act.

The red devil stepped forward, towering over him. Its sinister smile widened. "But don't worry. We won't leave you empty-handed. Let me give you a parting gift, little demon." It raised a clawed hand, dark energy swirling around its fingers. "Now, sleep.

Before the boy could respond, darkness engulfed him. His vision blurred, his body collapsing onto the blood-soaked ground. The devils' laughter echoed in his ears as the world faded to black.
