After the white room, it was lunch, and I now I am in the yard. The baldies occupy the training devices. There is also a gang out of black guys, but they are strictly separated from them. I just saw them nearly fighting in the cafeteria one time, shortly after the earthquake.
On benches were guys talking, clubs like in high school, loners like in high school, but nearly everyone was a murderer in here, not at all like in high school.
I went to a corner and turned around, conjuring a cigarette up. Many smoked outside, also in their cells, but they had real ones, no idea where they got them from. Maybe it is one of their privileges, but I have never gotten any of them. I also had no real money.
Looking across the people here, I saw some tall guy, slightly slender built, slightly longer black hair.
He was in the midst of turning around when my body moved on its own. I sprinted around the people, always only him in my eyes, before I threw myself on him.
I looked into bright blue eyes, as my hand found his throat, and I pressed with all my might.
"I'm bad at waiting." He said with difficulty, unimpressed by me choking him. His eyes had a strange frenzy in them as he looked at me, his mole in striking contrast to his pale face.
He put his hands around my wrists, enclosing them but not putting in any strength.
"Wuff." He said, barking at me with a grin, although his face was already reddening, his veins protruding.
Guards ripped me from him, and I punched one of them, in an attempt to free myself so that I could kill Henry. Not even asking myself what he did here, I was so filled with rage I couldn't even curse him out.
I heard him cough and spit on the ground, while I was kicked by a guard and again thrown on the floor, where I was handcuffed. More guards came, and I kicked around, hitting one—no idea where. Finally, my feet were cuffed, and I was dragged to the hospital ward, where the needle nurse did what she was best at, she put a needle inside me, forcing me to black out again.
After I woke up, it was solitary confinement again, where I finally had time to think.
Was Henry in here because of the weapon he had fired the last time he came?
No. Why was he here then, between murderers and not somewhere else?
Did he really come for me?
Because of that dumb promise to be my dog?
"Fuck." I don't want him here, he should get away. On the other side, he is here now too, it is only fair. Should I go and applaud him for being a man, and finally do what was right?
One innocent imprisonment against another?
But I, contrary to him, have never even held a fucking gun in my life. Even if he did it deliberately to get incarnated, he still did what he was imprisoned for. WHILE I DID NOT DO ANYTHING.
"Like this, we can talk." I heard Henry's voice and thought I had completely lost it.
"Yes, also solitary confinement for me, but isn't it for the best like this?"
My body again moved on its own as I slammed myself against the door in an attempt to go out, find his cell, and kill him.
"You have eaten. That's good, you look better," he said amidst myself banging on the door.
"The earth hole is the next portal, I bet twenty thousand bucks on it."
"What should I do, Kenny? I already told you I would be your dog. Do you want me to kill myself? Who will be your dog then?"
My movements got bigger, and I acted more forcefully.
"Kenny. With the evidence, they would have gotten you anyway. I just sped it up. I know my sister was probably the mastermind behind everything, though I don't know why. Still, like we are locked up here, she is locked up in a parallel world with monsters. Doesn't that give you satisfaction?"
"No, it gives me shit. Ever heard something about public opinion? You think the jury would have ignored every issue with the evidence if it wasn't for you PUTTING PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF THEM ONLINE? HUH? HER DIARY??"
"Ah, finally I hear your voice again." He sighed in satisfaction.
"Yes, you are right. But the chances were still great that they had convicted you anyway. Such a brutal murder, the public needed someone to convict. I know you hate me, our roles have changed, haven't they? Now I am trying to convince you."
I finally remembered the keys the guard had let me touch and looked at the door, where there was really a lock visible, even on the inside.
I tried one key, then the next, conjuring up everyone I touched. Finally, the fucking door opened.
"Are you coming to me, Kenny?" There was excitement in Henry's voice, and thanks to him thoughtlessly speaking, I found the door of his cell. Conjuring the key from last time, I fumbled with the lock, conjuring the next key, and so on. In between, I always had to wait for the one minute to pass. No guards were in this corridor, nobody would stop me.
Finally getting the matching key, I opened the cell and saw Henry leaning against the wall across the cell.
"Are you going to kill me?" He asked with his head tilted, his hair swinging. He looked at me like some crazy king from high above.
I chuckled, lunging at him and beating him. He let me do it, just staring at me with his blue eyes, making me angrier with each punch.
Finally, my hatred peaked, and I remembered what nearly had happened to me, the last time. And I remembered Henry speaking nonchalantly when I demanded something from him, a promise I would make him regret to give.
"No, but I will fuck you."
