Chapter 4 - A Ripple in the future

As the days passed, Soriya returned to the river every night. She learned to listen to the whispers in the water, to understand the language of time. It was not always clear at first, the words were sometimes muddled, distorted by the weight of the past. But slowly, she began to hear them more distinctly.

One night, while kneeling by the river, Soriya saw something different in the water. The shimmer had faded, and in its place was an image—a vision. She gasped as she saw a future she could not yet comprehend.

In the vision, she saw herself standing at the edge of the river, but the water was no longer stagnant. It was flowing again, faster than it had ever flowed before, racing toward an unseen horizon. The sky above was dark, and the land around her was being reshaped, as if time itself were being unraveled.

"No," she whispered, fear flooding her chest. "What does this mean?"

The Guardian's voice answered, not from the river, but from within her own mind. "The flow of time has been disrupted. The world is on the verge of fracture. The river cannot remain still. If you do not act, the world will fall into chaos."

Soriya's heart clenched. She knew then that she had to find a way to restore the balance. Time could not remain frozen—it had to flow, to move forward.
