The Desert Night is always silent but this time it was intruded by the sounds coming from the busy City of Al-Miraj. The Sun had been shining and the and the day was so Hot. In the comfortable atmosphere of their fine home, Aisha and her family for another lovely evening. They were not even aware of the Dangers around the corner that we change the fate of their lives forever.
Hakim, who happens to be Aisha's Father sat at the edge of the table deep rooted in thoughts. Pondering and worried. Although he's been hiding these worries from his family. As they all sat down for dinner as a family, the entire wonderful atmosphere of this dinner was interrupted by a defiant crash from nowhere. Although, he was outnumbered by the enemies, Hakim fought Valiantly, He managed to push Aisha into a hidden passage, his voice filled with fury and fear, he shouted Run Aisha ! Find Rakan ! " He will protect you. "
She Doubted, Her Heart shattered in peices she couldn't believe it her own family murdered in cold blood. Tears rolling down her eyes . Aisha obeyed her father last command she took heels escaping through the passage ignoring the sounds of death echoing behind her.
This passage led her to the dark alleys of AL maraj she struggled through the darkness, breathing fast until she collided with a loyal family servant Yassir. He quickly took her to the cellar and hid her there knowing she was in danger then he listened to her narrating the massacre she had just witnessed in tears. His face grew sad as he listened to the story.
Then Yassir said ; We must find the Skilled warrior Rakan , He lives far from Khalid's reach ; though embarrassed he lives outside the city walls and he said he will know how to keep you safe. Quickly, Yassir took Aisha through the maze avoiding the assassins whom still roamed the maze like Street just to find her. Carefully they moved in silence on the sandy ground.
Finally after evading the pursuers, they got outside the walls of AL Maraj and found the tall, muscular strong man Rakan in a lonely small house A man with whose face his marked by the survival of countless battles. At first, Rakan refused to get involved but with the way Yassir yelled and the Aisha's terrifying eyes he was convinced.
In a Grumbled Voice Rakan said Fine, I will protect her but only because it is what her father Hakim would have wanted. He looked up at Aisha and said Pack your belongings will leave by first light.
As the first light of the day approaches. Rakan along with Aisha Took the Dangerous. Quickly they moved through the streets dodging the assassins patrolling the streets Aisha was in fear still sad of the death of her family but she kept consoling herself that Rakan would be enough
Rakan's appearance are both comforting [his tough muscular body and demeanor] but the deep sadness in his eyes hinted at pains and loss of his past intimidating and this has made Aisha wondered why Rakan had lived a lonely life away outside the city and its troubles.
As the journey continues, they left AL Maraj behind. Rakan started teaching Aisha how to navigate the dangerous environment as they were getting deep into the desert. He showed her how to read the stars, find water and to Defend herself against any enemy. Despite him looking rough Aisha could say that he was very Skilled teacher and a compassionate one at that.
The Desert is not a place where one wants to find themselves in. Day time, it's scorching heat while the nights are freezing cold. Aisha was tested as she made her way through the shifting sands. Rakan was always at her side to help her as she stumbled and fell multiple times.
One night, as they were seated around a small fire, Rakan decided to open up to Aisha and spoke about his past. Telling her about his battles about the comrades he had lost during his time as a soldier. He spoke of being Hunted by guilt and his regrets and how he had seek the desert to take refuge and escape his demons.
When Aisha listened attentively she realized that they were two survivors with their own burdens. She felt the pain that Rakan had endured at that moment they began to form a bond which arosed as result of their experiences and determination to beat the odds.
