"So, what does this Gacha pull system give, and do you have any advice to grow my Familia?" Kelios asked the system.
The system responded shortly, displaying a graph.
"The system grants daily points based on achievements made by your Familia, as well as hidden quests."
It continued,
"Currently, the only section available for Gacha pulls is your personal section. This will provide you with resources, not abilities, as we are unable to grant anything surpassing your capabilities as a god. Once you gain Familia members, you'll be able to pull for abilities, skills, passives, and items. However, these won't match the quality of what you've already crafted for their growth.
"Each Familia member will have their own section to pull abilities, tailored to their preferences, talents, and ambitions. They simply need to pursue their desires to earn points. There's no revoking abilities or imposing demands. I recommend prioritizing a small Familia—no more than eight adventurers, two craftsmen, and ten members managing your relic support businesses. This ensures a balanced spread of abilities and prevents stagnation if you focus too much on a single adventurer."
Kelios considered the advice carefully. "How many pulls do I have in total?"
He already had several relics that could provide a steady flow of resources for future craftsmen apprentices, along with equipment prepared for anything his Familia might require. Extra resources were never a bad thing, as he could store the surplus in his spatial bag relic.
"You currently have the following pulls available:
10 Free Pulls200 Regular Pulls 40 Premium Pulls"**
The system added,
**"There are two tiers for the Gacha system: Regular Pulls and Premium Pulls.
Regular Pulls can grant resources ranging from F to S rank. These include copper, standard iron, steel, and other common materials (C rank), Gold (B rank), orichalcum and adamantine (A+ rank), and mithril (S rank).Premium Pulls offer enhancements to your Authorities, which you can use to train your Familia. They can also include bond effects that improve Excelia gain, stats, or production quality when equipped. Bond effects can stack as long as their uses are not identical."**
Kelios scratched his head sheepishly. Most of the resources detailed by the system weren't explicitly mentioned, but they were precisely what he would need in the long run. Having a surplus of these materials would ensure his Familia could grow steadily, eventually rivaling the Loki and Freya Familias. His strategy was clear: achieve their level of status in Orario by overwhelming them through economic power and leveraging his connections with fellow gods and goddesses. These alliances would provide protection while empowering their Familias in return.
At least now, Kelios had something to look forward to—spending the pulls once he successfully recruited members. The question was, where could he find suitable individuals? The most obvious answer lay in Orario's slums and orphanages.
He didn't mind becoming a temporary nanny or playing the father figure if it meant recruiting loyal and talented individuals. If they were to join his Familia, he felt obligated to provide them with the best resources and opportunities possible. If there was an orphanage in need, then it was best to head there immediately.
After a few hours wandering Orario's east and southeast main streets, Kelios arrived at Daedalus Street, where the orphanage was located. Known as the "second dungeon" aside from Babel—the towering structure that sealed the primary dungeon—Daedalus Street was in a dire state.
The area suffered greatly during this "golden era" of evil organizations smuggling monsters, trafficking humans, and committing numerous crimes. Kelios knew this was the era before Ryuu would annihilate the organization after losing her companions during the Juggernaut incident.
Lost in his thoughts, he finally spotted the orphanage—a small, rundown church. Without hesitation, he approached, deciding it was best to be blunt about his intentions. He would openly express his desire to take in the orphans, offering them a chance to become adventurers, blacksmiths, relic crafters, or pursue any passion that didn't harm innocent lives.
Just as Kelios raised his hand to knock, a sword was thrust toward him he let himself get dragged in.
"W-what's your purpose here?" she stammered, her voice laced with anger. "I'll have you know my father and mother are Level 3 adventurers! We won't let you take the kids under our protection!"
Understanding her concerns, Kelios raised his hands to show he meant no harm. He bowed politely before speaking.
"My name is Kelios, a god seeking to take in the children under your protection," he said gently. "I bear only goodwill and wish to give them the lives they deserve. They will be free to pursue any path they desire under my guidance and support as part of my Familia. While I hope some may choose to become adventurers, my primary goal is to grow my Familia."
He paused for a moment before adding, "If you doubt me, I can take you to the Guild tomorrow to prove my intentions. You have my word."
A mortal's promise might take time to earn trust, but a god's word was absolute. To reassure her, Kelios subtly released his divine aura, projecting sincerity.
The girl immediately began to calm down. Her sword trembled in her hands before she dropped to her knees, tears streaming down her face.
"A-ah, I'm so sorry for pointing a sword at you," she stammered between sobs. "It's just… everything fell apart recently. Normally, my parents would protect us—they're strong adventurers, far beyond the criminals around here—but recently…" Her voice broke as she struggled to continue. "The god of their Familia was killed. Without their falna, they've lost their strength…"
Kelios reminded himself why he avoided revealing his divine aura too often. While it gained people's trust almost immediately, it left him feeling as though the relationships he formed were artificial, even when they weren't.
Seeing her in distress, he stepped forward and pulled her into a firm, reassuring hug. As her sobs began to subside, two voices called out from within the orphanage.
"Maria! Are you okay? Big Sis, what's going on?"
Two figures emerged—a pair of Elf twins, their features strikingly similar. Judging by their appearance, they seemed around 17 years old. Kelios activated a small relic to scan them. This artifact was invaluable for assessing potential paths as adventurers. In a world like Orario, where no defined "classes" existed, most adventurers had to figure out their roles through trial and error. This tool would allow Kelios to guide them effectively.

Name: Siora
Status: In Awe

Recommendation: Excels at buffing and enchanting herself and allies. Her weapon should be versatile, capable of shapeshifting to adapt to different roles during dungeon raids.
Assessment: Another unpolished diamond found in a back alley—what are the odds? Also, uh-oh… she seems to have a crush on you.
Ignoring the last remark about Siora, Kelios chuckled to himself. The resources needed to support them wouldn't come cheap, but that's what the gacha system was for. More surprising was the fact that they were half-elfs. I guess the elf blood in them really is more dominant they'd pass as elves high elfs in fact if they never mentioned it to anyone.
"For Amon, a simple mount relic will suffice for now," he thought. Later, he planned to forge him a dragon mount if luck favored him with a surplus of mithril. For Siora, a camouflage relic and passive recovery relics would make her a formidable force, perfect for taking down monsters in the backline or assisting mages.
"This is Kelios-sama," Maria said, her face red with embarrassment. "He's interested in taking some of the children to form his Familia. At first, I thought he was a child trafficker…" She looked down at the floor, mortified.
Before she could wallow in shame, Kelios spoke up, making his intentions clear.
"You two," he addressed the twins, "would you like to join my Familia?"
"We're not orphans," Siora admitted sheepishly. "To be honest, we were raised alongside Maria by our mom and dad."
"I'm willing," Amon added quickly. "We were planning to join a Familia anyway to help fund the orphanage. We're short on gold, and this seems like the best option. Where's the contract or whatever we need to fill out?"
Kelios blinked in surprise but quickly regained his composure. Their immediate agreement was unexpected, but it made sense given their situation.
"Siora trusts you," Amon continued. "Her intuition has never been wrong, so I'm not worried about you being a bad person." He extended a hand for a handshake. "Ah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Amon, Mister Kelios." He bowed low and nudged his sister to follow suit.
"Are you still interested in taking in the children?" Amon asked hopefully.
Kelios smiled. "I have a better idea. Move everyone to my residence. I'll transfer the orphanage under my care so I can support it closely. Is that alright with you, Maria?"
Maria nodded, stunned by his generosity. After a moment, she hesitantly tugged on his cloak. "Kelios-sama, you're already doing so much for us, but… could I ask one more favor?"
"What is it?"
"Would you take my parents into your Familia as well? My dad's a tank, and my mom's a healer. They're Level 3 adventurers or were, but they've been depressed since losing their god. Right now, they're staying at a tavern near the market because it's not safe here at night. I think… I think having you as their god could help them regain their strength."
Kelios reassured her "You don't have to worry. Once they join my Familia, their stats and level will return. I welcome anyone currently willing to be part of my Familia. They could even train the children who wish to become adventurers."
Maria's face lit up with joy as she, Amon, and Siora cheered in excitement. However, Siora quickly asked amidst the cheering of the two.
"Kelios-sama, is Maria suited to become an adventurer?"
"Let's see," he replied, activating his relic once more.
