Chapter 3: Bastard, Get Off Me… Mmph

That evening, Mu Xiaoxiao thought the man might join her for dinner, but even after she finished her meal, he still hadn't appeared.

Yet, she was still instructed to bathe. Helpless, and without the strength to resist, Mu Xiaoxiao reluctantly complied.

After her bath, she stared at the lingerie the maids had prepared. A faint blush colored her delicate face.

This isn't sleepwear—it's practically a see-through lace decoration that can't even cover anything!

That damned man, with all his ridiculous preferences!

She reluctantly put on the lingerie and lay on the bed, her mood sour. She wasn't sure if that scoundrel would come tonight. Hopefully not, or she'd make him pay.

Time passed, and Mu Xiaoxiao's slightly open eyes eventually closed completely. The room grew silent, save for the soft sound of her breathing. The lights had long been switched off.

Outside the villa, a convoy of cars pulled up, their headlights piercing the dark and illuminating the night. The servants hurried outside, lining up respectfully at the entrance.

Among the five vehicles, the black Maybach in the center was the most striking. A sharply dressed chauffeur quickly exited and opened the back door.

A pair of polished black leather shoes appeared, followed by a tall, imposing figure in a custom-tailored suit. The man stepped into the light, his golden proportions accentuated. His chiseled features, defined brows, and slightly upturned lips radiated dominance, making Lu Yufeng look like an unassailable king.

Steward Li stepped forward, bowing slightly. "Young Master, Miss Mu is already asleep."

"Hmm." Lu Yufeng acknowledged curtly as he walked toward the villa.

"Also, Miss Mu isn't wearing her blindfold," Steward Li added. Lu Yufeng halted, frowning as he turned to glance at him. "Turn off the lights."

"Yes, sir."

Ah, this little woman has quite the fiery temper, Lu Yufeng mused. He hadn't forgotten being bitten the previous night.

Lu Yufeng didn't usually hold grudges—he had too many enemies to keep track of—but he made an exception for this woman, the one who had dared to challenge him after their one-night encounter.

As he approached her bedroom door, a mocking smile curled his lips. His fair, slender hand rested on the doorknob. With a soft click, the door opened.

Entering the room, Lu Yufeng began removing his clothes, his sharp gaze fixed on the woman asleep under the blanket.

Climbing into bed, he slid under the covers and pressed himself against Mu Xiaoxiao, resuming his self-imposed mission.

Mu Xiaoxiao had been sleeping soundly, but the weight on her body and the damp heat against her skin jolted her awake. Memories of the previous night rushed back. Startled, she opened her eyes and immediately saw the black hair of the man above her.

It was him—the man who had ruined her. Rage surged through her, and she tried to raise her fists to hit him, but her arms were pinned down.

"Bastard, get off me… mmph!" she shouted, only to have her words silenced mid-sentence.

Their eyes met. The night was dark, but his sharp, glowing gaze sent a chill through her. It was cold, intense, and terrifying.

His kiss was forceful, leaving no room for protest. Before long, Mu Xiaoxiao's body began to betray her, reacting against her will. The man's lips curved into a smirk as he pressed forward, drawing a cry of pain that escaped as tears streamed down her face. Her attempts to scream were muffled by his lips, and her muffled protests dissolved into soft, helpless whimpers.

In that moment, Mu Xiaoxiao was no more than a fish on a chopping block, completely at his mercy.

When Mu Xiaoxiao woke the next morning, Lu Yufeng was gone. She looked down at her fair skin, now marked with countless red "strawberries," and her eyes burned with anger.

Who was this damn man? Why the secrecy?

Was he hideous?

No, it couldn't be. Although the lights had been off last night, she'd glimpsed his sharp profile, and as a medical student, she was sure he wasn't just attractive—he was extraordinarily handsome.

Realizing her thoughts were wandering, Mu Xiaoxiao shook her head in frustration. Now wasn't the time to think about such nonsense.

Her goal was clear: fake a pregnancy, escape as soon as possible, and leave Jing City behind for good. Yes, that's it. Stay focused!

Standing up, she winced as pain shot through her body. That wretched man! Not even a shred of gentleness. She gritted her teeth and cursed him silently, wishing him a lifetime of loneliness.

Limping to the bathroom, Mu Xiaoxiao vowed she wouldn't sleep tonight. Even if it killed her, she would stay awake to get a good look at the face of that despicable man.

As the days passed, Mu Xiaoxiao continued taking contraceptive measures, indulging in flower baths, and instructing the maids to gather the herbs she needed. Among the flowers, her primary focus was the crimson wolf flower. Its extracts could alter her pulse to mimic that of a pregnant woman. As long as she avoided an ultrasound, her fake pregnancy would be convincing.

This method wasn't widely known—it was something she'd learned from a medical book her uncle had given her.

One night, as Mu Xiaoxiao lay in bed after a flower bath, she found herself missing her parents and uncle deeply. Turning over, she gazed at the bright full moon, her longing growing stronger. Just one more month, and she could fake her pregnancy and leave. Patience was key—exposure would ruin everything.

Pulling the blanket over her head, she forced herself to stop overthinking.

Lu Yufeng, meanwhile, seemed almost intentional in his timing, always arriving late at night when Mu Xiaoxiao was exhausted. She began to suspect he had some supernatural ability to monitor her every move.

For a week, Mu Xiaoxiao tried to stay awake, desperate to see his face. But each time, exhaustion won out, and she woke the next morning to find him gone, leaving her furious.

Eventually, she gave up and went to bed without resistance. It didn't make a difference, after all.

About two weeks later, Lu Yufeng stopped coming at night. Mu Xiaoxiao was relieved and even found herself bonding with the villa's maids.

One day, as she was playing chess with a maid, Steward Li's stern voice interrupted them. "Miss Mu, this is the doctor who will be taking care of you. If you feel unwell, please let Dr. Lin know."

Startled, Mu Xiaoxiao dropped her chess piece and stared at the unfamiliar elderly doctor with white hair. "Steward Li, are you saying he'll be the one to check if I'm pregnant in half a month?" she asked, pointing at the smiling Dr. Lin.

It seemed almost too good to be true. Could someone have intervened to help her?

"Yes," Steward Li confirmed.

To protect the Lu family heir, hospital visits were out of the question. Instead, a reliable traditional Chinese medicine practitioner had been chosen.

Hearing this, Mu Xiaoxiao felt a surge of joy she couldn't express. She grinned at the maid. "Let's play another round."

"Of course," the maid replied with a smile.

Over the past few days, Mu Xiaoxiao had grown quite close to the staff.
