Chapter 4 - Chapter 4. Hunting Began.

"Indraksha was alone with a Celestial Beast. He could feel fear, but he was refusing to give in because he knew that if he felt fear now, it would be his end.

The only way to win in a one-on-one fight with a Celestial Beast was to block its vision — in other words, destroy all four of its eyes.

Celestial Beasts resembled dogs but were much larger in size. They had one tail and four eyes. Their fur was white, and their ears were not visible unless their fur was cut. Their fur was harder than stone. They had a massive mouth, large enough to swallow a cow, and their size could easily be compared to that of a Spinosaurus. Their claws were sharp and strong enough to slice iron into countless pieces.

In Indraksha's family, they always had an assassin devil by their side, whose duty was to train the youth in mastering assassination techniques. Destroying all four eyes of a Celestial Beast was a piece of cake for Indraksha — as long as the Celestial Beast didn't go berserk.

Indraksha threw his battle axe toward the Celestial Beast to divert its attention and used his stone element to restrict its movement by constructing a stone rope around both of its legs.

The Celestial Beast could no longer move, but Indraksha had lost his battle axe, which was now in the beast's possession. The Celestial Beast used the battle axe to try to destroy the stone rope, but before it could, Indraksha created a spear with his stone element and threw it toward one of the beast's eyes. The beast blocked the spear with the battle axe, destroyed the stone rope, and in a split second, punched Indraksha, sending him flying.

Indraksha realized it wouldn't be easy to hunt this beast down. He created a bow and dagger with his stone element. Taking the dagger, he dragged it along the ground as he ran toward the beast, causing the dagger's sharp edge to heat up and catch fire for a few seconds. Indraksha knew that if he didn't act quickly in those seconds, he would surely die.

Using his bow, Indraksha created momentum with the dagger and launched it at the beast. The attack didn't do much damage but managed to cut a few strands of fur from the beast's body.

Indraksha collected the fur and used it to create four arrows with his element. He launched them at the beast using his bow. Two arrows hit their respective targets, striking the beast's eyes, while the other two were deflected.

Indraksha didn't give the beast time to recover. He created a spear and a sword with his element and launched a series of attacks, cutting off one of the beast's arms.

The beast went into a frenzy. The only thought it had now was destruction. Its sole focus was on annihilating Indraksha, who was fully aware of the situation and had already prepared a stone shield.

Using assassination techniques, Indraksha climbed onto the beast's body and created a spear covered in ice.

Indraksha wasn't proud of his family just because of his mastery over the stone element. He was proud because he was a Dualist, capable of controlling two elements at will. The second element he controlled was ice.

If someone couldn't blind the Celestial Beast they were facing, there was one other way to kill it: pierce its brain. Celestial Beasts didn't have hearts; their entire body functioned through their brain.

Indraksha pierced the beast's brain with his ice-stone spear, killing it.

Meanwhile, Nyxara, Lilithra, and Kharos were fighting the other Celestial Beast.

Kharos had already devised a strategy to kill the beast. He instructed Nyxara to create undead soldiers to distract the beast while Lilithra drained its life force using her succubus powers.

Lilithra could take away the life force of anyone experiencing excitement. Her powers were most effective when the excitement was related to sexual pleasure; otherwise, their effects were significantly weaker. The beast's excitement was fueled by battle, hunger, and the prospect of food. Lilithra's powers weren't very effective in this situation and could only weaken the beast at best.

As the beast destroyed Nyxara's undead soldiers, it grew more excited by the heat of battle. Seizing the opportunity, Lilithra used her powers to drain its life force, weakening it more than she had anticipated.

The rest was up to Kharos, as Nyxara and Lilithra needed to conserve their energy for future encounters.

Kharos, a member of the Hades family, was exceptionally strong. He wielded the dark element and created a giant hand with it to capture the beast. Applying immense pressure with the dark hand, Kharos forced blood to pour from the beast's mouth.

Spotting an opening, Kharos created a pair of dark daggers and charged at the beast, maintaining his grip with the dark hand. Targeting the beast's brain, Kharos plunged the daggers into its head, killing it.

As they killed the beast, the Scorched Arbiter made an announcement:

"Team 252 member Indraksha has slain an elite Celestial Beast and is rewarded with 3 killing points. The number of Celestial Beasts Indraksha must now slay is reduced to 22.

Team 252 members Kharos, Nyxara, and Lilithra have slain an elite Celestial Beast and are rewarded with 3 killing points, divided among them as 1 point each. The number of Celestial Beasts they must now slay is reduced to 24 each."
