The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden light over the village as Kikidori sat quietly near the window of the Hokage residence. His eyes were fixed on Hinata, who stood outside in the training area, preparing for a meditation session. He watched her intently, her graceful movements as she activated the Byakugan.
Kikidori had been grappling with a lot of things recently. His outburst at Naruto still stung, and the weight of Ere'ana's death hadn't quite lifted from his shoulders. But one thing had been on his mind, nagging at him ever since the battle with the Furoako clan: *What if I have the Byakugan too?*
It was a strange thought that had lingered in his mind for days. He knew that the Byakugan was a powerful bloodline trait, exclusive to the Hyuga clan. Hinata, of course, possessed it. But Kikidori had always wondered if, perhaps, there was more to his own lineage than he realized. After all, Ere'ana had given him her Sharingan, a powerful and rare dojutsu, and he knew that the potential for other unique abilities was within him.
"Maybe I have the Byakugan too," he muttered to himself, more as a question than a statement.
He glanced out the window, observing Hinata as she activated the Byakugan, her eyes glowing a soft, milky white. She was deeply focused, her chakra flowing in perfect harmony as she performed the delicate art. Kikidori's mind raced with possibilities. Could he somehow unlock the Byakugan as well? What if his eyes were capable of more than just the Sharingan?
Without giving it much thought, Kikidori stood up and moved toward the training area, determination in his eyes. He hadn't fully grasped his abilities yet, and he had a strong sense that the time had come to explore his potential.
He stood a few paces away from Hinata, who was still lost in her meditation. Her Byakugan allowed her to see through solid objects and detect chakra, and Kikidori wondered if, by some chance, he could tap into that same power.
He concentrated, closing his eyes, letting the silence of the evening calm his mind. He focused on his chakra, willing it to flow smoothly throughout his body. The sensation was familiar—he had spent years honing his chakra control—but this time, something felt different. There was a pull, an urging sensation as if his body was resonating with something deep inside of him.
Kikidori's heart beat faster as a strange warmth filled his eyes. His brow furrowed in concentration. Suddenly, a tingling sensation washed over him, starting from the corners of his eyes and spreading throughout his face. Without even realizing it, his eyes snapped open.
To his astonishment, his vision was completely different. Everything had taken on a new clarity. The outline of trees, the distant hills, even the faint movements of animals in the grass were visible to him. He could see through solid objects, much like how Hinata did with her Byakugan.
Kikidori blinked in surprise, his heart racing. "No way…" he whispered under his breath.
Not only had he awakened the Byakugan, but as he shifted his focus, he could also see the familiar red hue of the Sharingan, swirling within his eyes. His heart skipped a beat as he realized the significance of what had just happened. He now possessed both the Byakugan and the Sharingan. His body buzzed with a surge of energy as he struggled to comprehend what this meant for him.
"Is… is this real?" Kikidori asked, unable to hide his shock. His eyes darted between the two dojutsu, feeling a rush of power unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
Hinata, sensing a presence nearby, opened her eyes and turned toward him. When she saw Kikidori standing there with both the Byakugan and the Sharingan activated, her expression shifted to one of surprise.
"Kikidori…?" she asked, her voice filled with concern. "How did you…"
Kikidori blinked, still trying to come to terms with what he had just unlocked. He quickly deactivated both dojutsu, the Byakugan fading to his normal eyes and the Sharingan's red hue receding into the darkness of his pupils.
"I—I don't know," he admitted, his voice still shaky with disbelief. "I was just… I was trying to see if I could unlock it, and it just happened. I don't even know how."
Hinata smiled gently, walking over to him with a soft expression. "The Byakugan is a very powerful ability, Kikidori," she said kindly. "It's a rare gift, even among the Hyuga clan. And the Sharingan… that's a gift from Ere'ana. To possess both of them is…" She trailed off, her eyes filled with admiration.
Kikidori rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed by the attention. "I'm not sure I know how to control it. It's like... I can see everything clearly, but at the same time, it's overwhelming."
Hinata nodded thoughtfully. "It will take time. Both of those abilities require immense chakra control and focus. But you're strong, Kikidori. I have no doubt you'll learn."
Kikidori stared at the ground for a moment, processing everything. He had always known he had potential, but this… this was something else entirely. The power of the Byakugan and Sharingan together was an immense responsibility. He felt the weight of that responsibility pressing down on him, but a strange sense of purpose began to grow within him. With these powers, he could become something greater.
"I just didn't expect this," Kikidori said, looking up at Hinata. "I don't even know what to do with it."
Hinata smiled, her expression warm. "You'll figure it out, Kikidori. And remember, you don't have to do it alone. You have your family, your friends, and the village to support you."
Kikidori nodded, grateful for her words, but deep down, a part of him was still unsure. Would he ever be able to control the power he now held? Could he live up to the expectations that came with both the Byakugan and the Sharingan?
For now, though, he could only try. And with that, he decided to train harder, to master his abilities and unlock the full potential of his eyes.
As the moon rose higher in the sky, Kikidori took a deep breath, feeling the weight of his newfound power. There was no turning back now.
