Well, yet another uneventful and mundane day of being an English professor, Prof. Calistosis to be precise. Yesterday was truly a hectic mess. It was an unexpected day of thrill. Might I say, also an unwanted one. At the college I was working in, the faculty was hard-pressed to arrange for the many coming examinations, as the year was coming to a close, and the senior year students' graduation exams were right around the corner. I just wanted to get away from the piling stress and the unproductive environment at the campus, and found myself at home binge-watching my favorite anime, Naruto. Fantasizing about my favorite clan, the underrated Aburame, I realized the sheer unharnessed power held within the strategy of using bugs for the purpose of carpet bombing (large-scale indiscriminate bombardment). The whole night, and even the next day, I was wracked with insomnia, barely cognizant of my surroundings. The next day, I found myself strolling down the street, looking at the vibrant fair all around me, when my stomach rumbled. It was my body's reaction to being starved for a whole day. I couldn't believe it! Since when I had missed breakfast. I ran to my favorite ramen place, thoughts swirling inside my head. How long had it been since I had missed breakfast? Ten years, twenty? I used to be a model child, sleeping early and waking up early. I couldn't recall ever missing a meal, in fact. What was wrong with me? I saw the glaring flash of huge headlights, turning my head to see a massive cargo truck. It was too late to dodge, and it turned out I was crossing the street on a red light, with no barrier in sight! With a bang, I got smashed into blood mist, and everything went dark.
