"There's a specific reason why we called you here. The Wei Kingdom has been stuck in the Second Stage status for a while," Huang Tian explained as he stepped around the student group.
"To level up to the third stage, the Wei Kingdom must at least produce three Cultivators in the Nascent Soul realm."
"However, the third stage is the same as nothing. We want to advance to the fourth stage!" said Huang Tian, again arriving at the front of the student group while clenching his right hand tightly into a fist.
The students were familiar with the term cultivator or Nascent Soul; some movies they watched had stories like that. It made the students able to imagine the laws of this world and how it worked.
"It takes hundreds of years to rise to the Nascent Soul rank," replied Mu Hao, Sun Wei's friend.
"That's true. Still, we are here. The five major sects in the Wei Kingdom will help you," stated Huang Tian, pointing at Mu Hao while lightly patting the young man's shoulder.
'All stories in movies or novels are fictional; there is no history that tells the truth about an immortal in the past,' Wang Yuan replied.
'Is it possible we've all transmigrated into one of those hundreds of fictional stories? But what story? Who wrote it? And what's the plot of it?" asked Wang Yuan, still examining carefully and looking for his own conclusions to the events happening to him.
Huang Tian briefly explained the qualifications for a kingdom to be promoted to the next stage. The kingdom stages were divided into seven, stages 1-3 were classified as low stages, stages 4-5 as intermediate stages, and stages 6-7 as heavenly stages.
The Wei Kingdom was at the 2nd stage with two cultivators at the Nascent Soul realm. The kingdom must at least produce more Nascent Soul realm cultivators to advance to the next stage.
"For the Wei Kingdom, we are aiming to be promoted to a 4th Stage Kingdom. Therefore, we need 15 people to ascend to the Nascent Soul realm in less than 400 years," Huang Tian stated.
Sun Wei asked why Huang Tian had to take people from Earth when he had many cultivators in his kingdom.
The white-bearded man began to explain the reasons why, especially about the differences between them and people born in this world.
"The only main reason is your birth ability. Although I don't see you using your Qi, I can see how clean, strong, and pure your dantian is."
"With such dantian, then add the abundant resources of the sect and the guidance of the sect leaders. I believe achieving 15 Nascent Soul cultivators in 400 years is not impossible," Huang Tian explained.
Wang Yuan was silent; Li Mei turned her head and saw her friend's serious face. Wang Yuan would only have such an expression when doing two things: taking exams or reading books.
"What's the matter?" asked Li Mei gently.
"It's nothing. I was just thinking about what that man said."
"Is that something bad you think?" asked Li Mei, looking worried.
Again, Wang Yuan shook his head. He couldn't talk about possibilities when he didn't have the data and facts, like how did someone train to reach the Nascent Soul stage? Then, were there any risks the students would incur if they failed to meet Huang Tian's expectations? Will they be killed?
All those questions were unanswered, and only time would tell the truth.
"Once you have successfully reached the Nascent Soul stage, you will get a strategic position in the Wei Kingdom. You will get houses, treasures, pills, technique scrolls, and women ready to spoil you," Huang Tian explained, not messing around with the rewards he would give.
Instead of feeling pressured, all the students felt enthusiastic about what would happen to them.
Sun Wei turned around, trying to calm his friends down while considering Huang Tian's offer. He acted like a leader to them and earned the respect of the man with a white beard.
'Sun Wei is indeed good at controlling situations. He'll be the first to reach the Nascent Soul stage quickly,' Wang Yuan explained.
After explaining enough, Huang Tian took out 30 silver-colored slips to the front. Inside the slips were 16 circles inside: one large circle in the center and fifteen small circles on top.
"Those are cultivation detection slips," Huang Tian revealed.
"The way it works is simple; you just need to hold the slip and place the thumb of your right hand on the big circle."
Huang Tian explained that the large circle would light up in six colors based on affinity. The affinities that are common in the Wei Kingdom consist of:
Red was fire, blue was water, ash was wind, green was earth, and gold was light. The big circle will light up as per the affinity on their body.
Then, there were 15 small circles representing the basic stage of cultivation, Qi Condensation. The circles will glow with white light based on the specialty of their dantian.
The better they flowed their dantian through their subconscious, the higher their cultivation level at the Qi Condensation stage.
Huang Tian continued to explain that five major sects would receive students in line with their affinity.
Fire affinity would join the Ancient Fire Lion sect, Water affinity would join the Lake Mist sect, Wind affinity would join the Cloud Peak sect, Earth affinity would join the Stone Palace sect, and Light affinity would join the Divine Sword sect.
The sect leaders felt no objection. In fact, the more students joined their sect, the more their sect's strength would increase.
If the student became a Nascent Soul, the sect's good name would be spread across the kingdoms of the Nan Continent.
Sun Wei was left speechless momentarily, and the students waited for Sun Wei to hold the slip for the first time.
In the end, the young man held on to it and placed the thumb of his right hand on the large circle as Huang Tian had instructed.
The big circle glowed gold with 10 white glowing circles. With this, Sun Wei's ability was at the 10th Qi Condensation stage.
The cultivators were amazed. They didn't expect a stranger like Sun Wei to reach the 10th stage without going through the bottlenecks of the 3rd and 5th stages.
"Amazing. It's amazing!" praised Huang Tian, seeing that Sun Wei's future was limitless.
Feeling curious about their abilities, the students began to hold the silver slips and did exactly as instructed.
Gradually, the color of the light sprung up multicolored. Some of them had also reached a certain stage of Qi Condensation.
Jin Su, shockingly, was at the same stage as Sun Wei —10th Qi Condensation. His affinity was fire, making the Ancient Fire Lion sect leader fly straight over to him.
"Your affinity is fire, and your cultivation level is high. Welcome to the Ancient Fire Lion sect!" announced the sect leader, patting Jin Su on the shoulder.
The young man smiled widely, then looked back and searched for Li Mei's whereabouts. Li Mei had yet to check her abilities, and neither had Wang Yuan.
With a smug face, Jin Su showed that muscles were more useful than brains here. That was merely said to insult Wang Yuan.
Wang Yuan told Li Mei to hold the silver slip. Li Mei nodded and held it carefully. Slowly, blue light shone brightly from the large circle, and its cultivation level reached the 8th Qi Condensation stage.
Among all of them, only Wang Yuan hadn't done the cultivation slip check. He held the silver slip and placed his thumb.
A bright ash light shone from the large circle of light with only one white circle lit up, the 1st Qi Condensation stage.

'Why am I the lowest?" asked Wang Yuan.
"HAHAHA!" shouted Jin Su noticing Wang Yuan had the lowest cultivation level among the student group, followed by a loud burst of laughter from everyone.
Li Mei was sympathetic to Wang Yuan. She tried to encourage Wang Yuan by saying he was special. He was more special than the rest of the class.
"I knew it, you useless weakling!" scolded Jin Su.
"Come here, Li Mei. I swear to Wang Yuan to look after you for eternity," insulted Jin Su, stepping forward to hold Li Mei's hand.
Wang Yuan acted. He held Li Mei's hand and kept her away from Jin Su's filthy hands. Another fight broke out between Jin Su and Wang Yuan, the Ancient Fire Lion Sect Leader intervened.
"No one is allowed to harm my sect's disciples!" declared Teng Hao.
BLAST!
He pushed Wang Yuan's body with his qi force, throwing Wang Yuan far back against the hard rocks.
"Akh!" erang Wang Yuan dalam kesakitan.
Medium-sized stones fell on the man's body, leaving the other students in shock. Sun Wei tried to help Wang Yuan, but Huang Tian prevented him.
Li Mei shouted Wang Yuan's name. The girl was about to walk over to help him stand up from the medium-sized rock that fell on his body. But, the Lake Mist Sect Leader, Yu Shuren, stopped Li Mei from approaching him.
"Heaven has written his fate. You must let him go, Li Mei," Yu Shuren instructed, sprinkling a gentle splash of water on the girl's face.
"Throwing away a weakling is far better than wasting the sect's resources!" announced Teng Hao, fully supported by Jin Su.
The girl finally fell into Yu Shuren's arms just after the sect leader had put her to a peaceful sleep. Elder Yu told Huang Tian that he would take Li Mei and the other students with water affinity leave now. Huang Tian couldn't prevent it.
"Li... Mei," Wang Yuan called out, his eyes blurred at the sight of Li Mei leaving him alone.
One by one, the students got their sects to join. They left the place with Huang Tian alone there. He flew over to the student named Wang Yuan, seeing the man still breathing but in a dying state.
"This boy can't be saved. In the end, he'll die because of the wild monsters," Huang Tian replied.
Having finished the affairs of the place, Huang Tian floated away, leaving the place to arrive at the Divine Sword sect.
Wang Yuan was still frozen helplessly under a pile of rocks, blood flowing to flood the silver slip; another reaction ensued.
