My eyes flicked open to an audible shriek of a vulture on a steep rock beside me. I let out a quick disturbed gasp of air and slithered a considerable distance from the rock.
I hadn't taken much thought of my bleeding forehead because where I was seemed almost indescribable.
Lush forests with tall trees filled the whole place, then rocks at designated places. It amazed me at the arrangements because it seemed someone had taken out these rocks and arranged them. Then there were beautiful flowers of different colours basking in the sun's shining radiation sneaking through the trees above.
"Hello!" I yelled but my voice died quickly as it blew out.
I was beginning to feel the pains waxing out of my whole body, it ached and burned, my elbow throbbed with pain and my blood ran down from my lips.
"Hello!" I shouted again and slowly got up.
My beautiful ball gown had turned into a rough mix of brown soiled stained blue and my blood. I wiped my dress and sniffled.
"Please can someone hear me?"
I began walking through the only path in the forest. I assumed someone had threaded this path because of the clear road, so I began walking nowhere, in particular praying to meet someone.
The forest oozed with nighttime terror even though it was midday. Crickets chattered, wild birds hovered above with high shrill pitches, I could also hear the wolf cries from last night.
I whispered and started running, one arm of my ball gown had been thoroughly severed and I bled profusely from my shoulder. I stopped, tore the perished piece of my gown and wrapped it around my arm to stop the bleeding.
Then I wondered who pushed me off the cliff in the first place and why?
Could it be President Leo? Maybe he was angry about the rejection.
Or Fiona, girl had been so mean to me since childhood while pretending to be my friend.
"Ouch!" I stepped on something that send jabs of pain through my heels.I dropped down on my knees and weeped painfully trying to check what it was. Suddenly I heard a rough sonorous voice from nowhere in particular, it seemed to be coming from all angles in the forest.
"Who are you!" Sounded the voice again.
"Who's there!"
Silence.
"Who's there!" I asked again, this time sharply.
For a split second, silence reigned. Then unexpectedly, small black birds hovered above me and it seemed they were terrified, their covering made the whole forest assume darkness and I couldn't say what was happening, I just sat still, my head felt light and my eyes were beginning to shut.
