Katherine pulled up in the driveway with a sigh
"What a day"
She went into the duplex shouting "I'm home" but every where was silent. She chuckled and said "Enough with the pranks"
But every where was still silent. She then went upstairs and tiptoed to a room with the sticker "Kenneth and Kendra"; but behind that door lies the biggest shock of her life.
As Katherine opened the door she saw a boy of around seven or eight years old tied to a bunk bed naked without his head fingers, toes and middle section.
The world stopped moving that moment and the smile on Katherine face dissolved into nothing.
She stood there rooted to the groundfor some seconds then she screamed and ran towards the body.
She quickly untied the rope binding him to the bunk bed saying
Ken, ken, nothing will happen to you, please wake up. Ken, ken please." She bowed her head on the body then shouted " Kenneth!" With tears streaming out of her eyes.

Katherine trembled but she still picked them up trying to fix the parts together crazily as she was doing so she
She ran back to the room and picked up the head of the held the body she noticed a paper at the back and
she removed it and read it's contents

She picked up a frame with three people in it a boy and two girls.
One of the girls looked older while the younger one looked like the boy
The trio smiled brightly making the beautiful background pale in comparison
There were three names written on it
"Katherine, Kenneth and Kendra"
Katherine hugged the photo and cried herself to sleep.
Two hours later Katherine woke up saying
"Ken?, Kendra?" But reality gave her ahard slap on her face and the sleepy look in her eyes vanished instantly
