Chapter 25 - 25 - Deadly Look

Although I didn't drink as much as the other students, I still managed to have a lot of fun as the party went on.

While Jake was trying to win over the girl he liked, Josh and I stood around watching and commenting on how Jake was acting, joking about it a lot.

The more everyone drank, the looser they became.

Not only did Jake pluck up the courage to talk to the girl he liked, but other dudes were brave enough to try dancing with the girls they were into.

Some were successful, others not so much.

Gina chatted with me for a while before going back to her group of friends, but occasionally she would break away from the large group of girls to come and chat with Josh and me.

He was surprised that Gina was spending so much time with us, even with some of her friends coming over from time to time and talking to us.

Even I was a little surprised by this, after all, although I wasn't a social outcast in my previous world, hooking up with a few girls whenever I felt like it, I was also never the guy who drew so much attention that girls orbited around me.

But come to think of it, in this world I was giving them reason to.

Not only was I much better looking than I had ever been in my other world, but now I was much more confident than when I was younger in the other world, having enough confidence to treat a girl as an equal, instead of just putting them on pedestals like the other dudes, plus the biggest card I had, success.

Despite my good looks, I was never very successful at anything in my other world, whereas in this world I was showing great potential in the highest-potential career the world currently had.

Being a Game Creator in this world was the equivalent of being a Football or Basketball player in the other world, so my rapid rise through the school ranks showed everyone that I had the potential to be a 'star'.

Sure, I wasn't going to deny this attention, but I wasn't going to let it go to my head either.

After two hours at the club, the dance floor was getting crowded and the DJ who was playing had a really good playlist, so even though I was away from the dance floor, I was still moving around to the beat of the music.

I noticed that by showing this interest I attracted the attention of a few girls, who looked at me as if to show that they were available for me to ask them to dance.

But despite moving from side to side to the beat of the music, that was the limit of my dancing talent...

At least for dancing to electronic music.

I always found videos of people who could dance to this kind of music, doing all those cool dance moves, amazing, but when I tried to repeat something like that in the other world it was a complete disaster, making me realize that I should just keep moving from side to side.

Staring at the empty glass in my hand and realizing that I was already getting drunk, I wondered whether to buy another drink or opt for a non-alcoholic option this time, when a voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Hey Theo, are you just going to stay here on your own instead of going to the dance floor to enjoy the music?" Gina came up, pointing to the dance floor where Jake was dancing with the girl he called and Josh was doing some weird dance moves while everyone laughed around.

Seeing Josh's dance moves made me want to go to the dance floor slightly, but the music that was playing was really good.

"I don't know, I'm a disaster at dancing..." I admitted as I scratched the back of my head.

Laughing, Gina said nothing more and took my hand, dragging me onto the dance floor.

Considering my larger body and the recent strength I've developed, if neither of us used Mana I could resist if I wanted to, but I guess I was also in the mood to dance, so I let her drag me onto the dance floor.

Once there, Gina began to dance slowly and gradually picked up the pace, as if she wanted to show me how to do it.

Watching her intently, I began to try to imitate the movements she was making.

At first this was quite difficult, but perhaps because of the training my body was receiving from False Neurological Feedback I was managing to repeat it better than I had imagined.

Watching me slowly reach the level she was showing, Gina continued to increase the level of her dancing, posing a bit of a challenge for me, but as time went by it became easier and my body adapted.

'Could it be that letting the Neurological False Feedback train my body is improving my motor coordination? Or is the constant use of Mana causing my brain to be able to control my body more precisely just as my Mana control has increased over time? ' I tried to find an answer as to why my dancing talent was so much better than in the other world.

I didn't become the next MJ, but at least I wasn't embarrassing myself like in the other world.

The music was so loud that you couldn't talk on the dance floor, so I just focused on dancing, copying Gina's dance moves and enjoying the moment.

I have to admit, at times I found myself looking more than I should have at certain parts of Gina's body as I learned to dance with her, and from the smile on her face and her dancing becoming even more provocative as time went on, I think she noticed it too.

When the music changed to something slower, Gina came closer to me while I put my hand around her waist and at some point our lips touched.

A few more kisses took place while we danced, but after the music changed back to something more upbeat, we went back to dancing as before until I got tired and left the dance floor.

Jake and Josh were no longer dancing either and were sitting in the place we had reserved, "talking".

There was no real conversation going on there, as it was just Josh chattering about how great he'd been dancing and Jake staring endlessly at where the girl he'd been dancing with was.

Fortunately she was also looking at him a little shyly, which was a good sign for him.

Sitting down next to them, Josh was the first to notice me.

"Hey Theo, who knew you could win Gina over?! I even saw you kissing bro!" He said excitedly.

Laughing at that, I just shrugged as I replied. "I don't know, it just happened."

"Are you guys going to date?" Josh asked as he looked at Gina who had rejoined her group of friends, glancing from time to time at where we were.

"Nah, we practically met today and I don't even know how many guys she's kissed on dance floors, I only kissed her because I felt like it, but I don't intend anything to happen beyond that." I replied calmly.

Josh was shocked to hear me say that I didn't want anything more than the kisses that happened, as if it was absurd that I didn't want to share a bed with Gina, or even try to tie her to me.

But that was natural for me.

I've kissed a lot of girls in the other world, but few of them were the ones I shared my bed with.

For me, this kind of act was exclusive to someone I felt some kind of real connection with, something I clearly didn't feel for Gina after talking to her only a few times.

Maybe if we were closer and had more contact that would change, but we wouldn't even have that opportunity since tomorrow will be our last official day as university students.

"Even if you don't want to do anything other than what you've already done with Gina today, someone wasn't very happy with what they saw on the dance floor..." Josh said as he pointed in a direction with a slight nod.

Looking in the direction he pointed I saw Tyler staring at me like eyes could kill.

"Does he like Gina?" I asked curiously.

Not knowing much of the gossip and relationships that happened in college before my merger, I was curious.

"Does he like Gina? He's done everything for her and she's never paid much attention to him... as far as I know, Gina only likes older guys, which is why seeing her kiss you was such a surprise to everyone." Josh explained.

Hearing this I felt it made a bit of sense, adding up my two lives and the accumulated experience I've had, my current maturity is probably greater than that of all the dudes my age, so for someone who likes older men, I must fit Gina's taste.

But looking at Tyler and seeing how angry he was, I felt that this night wasn't going to be as simple as just drinking and walking away happy.

'Considering that Tyler was physically and magically gifted, while I, despite having improved my physique, am still smaller than Tyler, and everyone knew how little magically gifted I was, it's quite likely that Tyler would try to take advantage of this to get revenge...'

To deal with this I would have to take advantage of my hidden 'talent'...

Picking up my cell phone and researching magical battle tactics, ways for mages to deal with enemies on their own, Rank F and Rank E spells, I started trying to understand as much as possible.

If I were a normal person trying to do this, it would just be a waste of time.

It's impossible for an ordinary supernatural to learn something just by searching for a few minutes on the internet for a cell phone, even more so without being able to practice these things, but I'm not an ordinary supernatural...

As long as I see the spell, I'll be able to replicate it with perfect precision.

My concentration on understanding these spells is because I wanted to try and reduce the Mana cost as much as possible.

'It's a good thing I didn't use up my Mana before I left home...'
