Before everything there was nothing beyond, a conflicting concept of which it is difficult to reflect an image in our minds. Nothingness is a terrifying idea, for how can you know or even imagine what it looks like? Just thinking about it keeps us lethargic for a while, until we forget why we were doing it in the first place. However, I think that nothingness is something as simple and unique as the universe; a huge blank canvas waiting to be stained, torn or painted over, the idea is not what you decide to do with it, is what you do with it. Each movement that provokes an alteration in it is what eventually molds it until it acquires form and therefore sense, and when we find a sense to things, all those superstitions; fomented by the fear that causes us that which we do not know, disappear.... makes us feel that we are still in control, but... What would happen if we were stripped of it? If in spite of understanding and being aware of what is happening around us... we simply didn't have the capacity to do what we want... If that which makes us give meaning to existence were to be taken away from us? That which makes us unique among us all... and we would only be forced to repeat the same thing over and over again... until the end of our days, realizing that sometimes what we know can be more terrifying than the unknown.
Approximately a few billion years ago the first stain on the canvas would emerge, an enormous accumulation of energy was released with great intensity, thus giving rise to what we know today as "Outer Space". Consequently arose those sets of billions of stars, gas, dust, planetoids, black holes, matter, energy, comets, asteroids and an endless number of other things, the universe was born, the canvas became a work of art in just a blink of an eye, all because of that little spot, expanding all over the place. From it emerged what we know today as.... "The zero point", the union of everything everywhere, in any reality at the same time, our bridge between each of the billions of worlds that emerged after the explosion, each with its own history, a wonder of the universe with infinite power and immense proportions, with the same capacity to create as well as to destroy, attracting the attention of various minds that have tried to come together in an attempt to understand the source of such power, with the sole purpose of taking advantage of it to satisfy their most twisted fantasies, becoming the most coveted object of all the omniverse. Being its mere existence a constant source of dangers that threaten against the integrity of the same, as well as those who have enough courage to look for it.
One of these many wanderers, either because he was brave enough or stupid enough, would undertake on his own a journey through the confines of the universe with the sole purpose of finding it, his ambitions were such that he even destroyed entire civilizations in search of information that could help him to know the exact whereabouts of that miraculous orb. It is said that during his conquests he took with him those with whom he shared the same ambition and aspired to something better. It was thus that what began as a solitary journey would end in an expedition made up of a group of 25 members, establishing the foundations for what would later become "The Oathbound."
It is not known exactly how much time passed until he managed to find his whereabouts, the writings reveal that long before he even undertook the journey, he wrote logs every so often, where he recounted his daily routine along with a brief summary of the progress he was collecting over the days, eventually these records became pieces for something bigger, a puzzle that would serve both him and his subordinates to pinpoint the exact location of Grothe zero point.
The wanderer together with his men and with the help of their technology undertook a race against the clock where they competed against themselves, the problem wasn't to find the orb, but what would come with it. Research, analysis, statistics, experimentation and a huge list of things that day after day without rest they repeated until they obtained some information about it, their ambition had consumed them completely, they were willing to give their lives in order to obtain a tiny bit of something that would help them to channel their energy and thus be able to start with the development of the long-awaited project that they had planned for a long time during the course of the trip. This had the code name "Bridge", it consisted of synchronizing the unstable energy waves of the orb to try to channel enough frequency to establish a connection between different realities, a kind of bridge that would allow them to travel to any world instantly without the need for vehicles or conventional means, an ambitious enough idea bordering on the limits between fantasy and reality; However, both the wanderer and his group were totally convinced that even though the task was almost impossible, they would not miss the opportunity to study, learn and experiment with the limits of the zero point, even if they ignored their own, everything was valid as long as it was for the benefit of their research, no matter how implausible their actions were or how unethical they could be.
It is unknown exactly how much time elapsed since the first attempts to carry it out, Geno's records remain encrypted in the database of the Imagined Order, the important thing was that after countless failed attempts, both lives and sweat, blood and tears the prototype Brg-1178 established the first successful connection in the history of the universe, Oathbound had achieved the unimaginable, it was the first time that one of their various fantasies had materialized before their eyes.
Now that the trip between realities was a fact, the next great unknown would be to see who or what would be the first to make the leap, at the beginning there were several who refused, although it was something that took too much time of work what they had achieved, the fear of not knowing what they would find on the other side was what prevented them from taking the risk. Some went so far as to propose using test subjects as in the past, however, there were several divided opinions on the matter. Others argued that it was an optimal and safer way while others claimed that it wasn't necessary to continue using more subjects when they had already achieved their goal, while in the innermost part of the small base of operations of the order, the wanderer was watching from the shadows.
He himself went down the stairs while with a stoic countenance he walked in the middle of everyone, making his way to the opening of reality that they had managed to open. He spent some time observing, he seemed determined to take the first step; however, a strident voice called everyone's attention.
