Chapter 1 - Hooked!

Hey everyone, phoenix here. Enjoy the chapter ;).......

Earth coloured frizzy hair in a messy bun, green eyes hidden behind thick spectacles, caramel skin with freckles, and nothing but oversized t-shirts and sweatpants in her wardrobe. Amara was an academic machine focused on nothing but her grades. However, she wasn't prepared for all the crazy events that would turn her college life upside down.

In the basketball court...

"Hey, Pass!" FJ shouted. A few minutes remained till the end of the game and the whole crowd cheered like never before....well except for one person.

" How did I even let you guys convince me to come here, I could have read an entire chapter of Study of Animal Patterns by now" Amara complained to her best friends, Sasha and Lucy.

"Oh girl, all you ever do is study, what about some hot sweaty college boys for a change?" Sasha answered.

"First of all, ew! And for the last time, I will never be interested in anyone. Can I go now?" Amara said as she stood up to leave.

"Look, it's the fisherman's dunk!" shouted Lucy. Everyone held in their breath as FJ jumped and swung his arm smashing the ball right in the hoop.

Everyone went down to the court to celebrate the very much expected victory for the Mountain Tigers of Haverfordwest Academy.

All except for Amara, who was left gazing at the ruffled, glistening and for some reason sparkling guy, who was non other than FJ, Ford Jason but more famously, Fisherman Jason.

Haverfordwest has a famous legend that every time someone had a crush on FJ, they were said to have been completely hooked. Hence earning him the title "Fisherman".

Amara thought this was complete bs.....till that fateful day where she too, intentionally or not..... grabbed the hook that the Fisherman placed strategically in front of her.
