In the abandoned industrial area of East Street, Blake sat calmly atop a van, as though waiting for something.
In front of the van stood the two injured Black Blade members, their hands tied with cloth, along with the uneasy Kouzou.
"Hmm? They're finally here."
A series of roaring engines broke the silence. Blake's crystal-blue eyes lifted slightly, and a bloodthirsty smile spread across his face as he looked ahead.
A convoy of vehicles roared into view, led by a black sports car, followed by ten vans, shattering the tranquility of the abandoned factory.
While Blake radiated a chilling bloodlust, the two Black Blade members and Kouzou displayed looks of pure joy—their boss had come to save them!
"Bang——!"
After the eleven cars came to a halt, a man with a scarred face in a black suit stepped out of the lead black sports car, followed by two tall men over two meters in height, each wielding massive machetes like personal guards. As if responding to a signal, the doors of the parked vans slammed open, and a group of black-clad men armed with various blades jumped out one after another, shutting the doors heavily behind them.
Though their appearances varied, they all shared one defining trait: menace.
Ding.
Mission Issued.
Destroy the Black Blade Group.
Reward: 100 Fortune Points.
The sudden system notification made Blake pause for a moment in surprise, but he quickly set it aside, keeping his gaze fixed unwaveringly on the group of black-clad men before him.
"Kid, you're pretty arrogant to dare kidnap my subordinates," Black Blade's leader, Hideki Nozaki, growled as he led the mass of men to within ten meters of Blake. He glared at him, his expression grim, as the youth remained motionless, his face calm yet laced with a faintly bloodthirsty smirk.
"Hand them over now, then kneel and kowtow five times, and I might consider sparing you."
"Arrogant?"
Blake leaped down from the top of the van with a steady landing, drawing his Frost Whisper Sword. His expression was cold as he replied, "No, you're overestimating yourself. To me, you're nothing but ants. My only purpose in bringing you here is to kill you all. That's all."
"Slash—slash—slash!"
With a flash of his sword, the two men with severed arms and Akizuki Kouzou barely had time to react before they were decapitated. Fountains of blood erupted from their necks, the crimson spray mingling with Blake's cold, unyielding face, exuding a chilling aura.
Even the hundred Black Blade members were taken aback by the suddenness of his action. It had all happened so quickly, with precision and ruthlessness—one strike, three kills, without a hint of hesitation.
"Hahaha! Excellent. It's been a long time since anyone has dared act so brazenly in front of me!"
Only Hideki Nozaki, veins bulging on his forehead, managed to recover. Moments earlier, he'd ordered Blake to release his men, and now, the youth had slaughtered them right in front of everyone and even threatened annihilation. It was an open slap to his face!
"Kill him! Turn that brat into mincemeat!"
With a furious roar, Hideki Nozaki gave the order.
"Yeah!"
At his command, the hundred black-clad men charged at Blake, their gleaming machetes flashing with deadly intent.
"Pathetic."
"Slash—slash—slash!"
Even against an onslaught of a hundred men, Blake's expression remained unchanged. Gripping his sword tightly, he moved fluidly among them. His steps resembled the dance of death, and every swing of his blade claimed a life. Blood gushed like a macabre symphony, painting the scene in crimson.
Yet, despite their numbers, none of the Black Blade members' attacks could even graze Blake. This was his stage, a one-man show of lethal precision. His kills were clean, his movements unerring, and not a single drop of blood stained him.
For someone with Perceptual Distortion ability, his new Aether energy capacity, and his stamina rivaling that of martial arts masters, the Black Blade members were nothing more than lambs to the slaughter—frail, defenseless, and utterly powerless.
One man. Ten men. Twenty men...
Within mere seconds, twenty Black Blade members lay lifeless on the ground, their blood soaking into the earth. And the death toll continued to rise.
