Kantha was such a poor girl that shew grew up in a village whereby houses were clustered deeper in a slum area.She grew up with her parents, studying in a school full of inequity.Her life was a tris of extinction for no one was there to give her attention.But even though all was that on her side,Kantha was a slim beautiful girl that her enchanting eyes and smile would really take a boy's mind on a trip . She was a sixteen year old mummy's girl, impatiently looking forward to dropping books and start business as an independent woman since her parents had no money to push her up to colledge but later on, when Kantha was in her second term of senior Five,she was put up to a hardest test of loosing her only hope,her.Kantha had sorrow, grief, hatred and pain in her heart because her mum's days of life were also being counted on fingertips since she had a disease well known as "breast cancer"and she stopped working seven years earlier.Kantha's father was the only rely at the poor home but he had died in a fatal accident when he was going to his place of work Kantha lost hope of continuing with studies.
Two days later,Kantha and her mum,Mrs.Casandra Mutesi had finished with the burial ceremony.Mrs. Mutesi was sitting in the house and Kantha came by her side and she said,"Mum,where are we going to get the money for my school fees.Dad scarcely left any.We even have nothing to eat yet you have to feed well?"She answered,"Don't worry my daughter,I have been saving some money from the village SACCO so it will give me some money at the end of this month."Kantha also said,"But what shall we eat for the rest of this month.It has just started?"Her mother replied,"Worries should be out of your minds my daughter because your father paid for you school fees for the two remaining terms.You will stay studying for the two terms.You will eat from school."Kantha also asked,"But what of you mum,are you going to stay hungry for the rest of the day?If it's like that,I will have to pack for you some food from school."Mrs.Mutesi delightfully said,"Thanks my dear.It's really good to have a caring daughter like you."
