Chapter 15 - The Passion City

Finally, the spaceship touched down smoothly at the terminal. The doors of the massive ship opened with a whoosh, revealing the bustling atmosphere of the Passion City Terminal.

Our main character stepped out into the terminal, taking a moment to absorb the vibrant surroundings. The air was filled with the sounds of people chatting, announcements echoing, and the distant hum of engines from various vehicles.

As he stepped out of the spaceship, he looked around in awe.

The terminal itself was a marvel, adorned with modern architecture, large screens displaying information, and shops selling everything from local delicacies to futuristic gadgets.

Beyond the terminal's glass walls, the view of Passion City stretched out before him. He could see the skyline filled with glimmering skyscrapers, their reflective surfaces glinting in the sunlight.

The anticipation bubbled within him. He was finally in Passion City, a place he had only seen in videos.

As our main character stepped out of the spaceship terminal, he felt the electric energy of Passion City coursing through him. The vibrant city was alive with activity, and he was eager to dive into the heart of it all.

Before heading to his destination, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a card.

It was the mercenary card given to him by the burly man with the scarred eyes. The card held important information about the mercenary group he was interested in joining, including the location of their building.

As he examined the card, he noted the address:"Mercenary HQ, 42nd Avenue, Passion City."But first, he decided he would explore the local market and see what treasures he could find.

He made his way towards a street near the center of Passion City, where the market was known for its vibrant atmosphere.

The street was bustling with people, a colorful tapestry of locals and tourists alike. Shops and Stalls lined the sides, each one filled with a variety of items: clothing, gadgets, food, and more.

The air was filled with the sounds of vendors calling out their prices, shoppers haggling for deals, and the occasional laughter of children playing nearby.

As he walked through the market, he kept an eye out for second-hand items that might be useful for his journey.

Each stall was unique, showcasing a diverse array of products. Old tools that looked like they had seen much use. Clothing that had character and stories woven into their fabric. Gadgets that piqued his interest with their potential functionality.

He watched as people haggled over prices, a lively dance of persuasion and negotiation. "How much for this?" a woman asked, holding up a worn-out bag. The vendor grinned, "For you, my friend, just 30 UC! But I'll throw in a bonus if you buy two!"

After browsing for a while, he spotted a stall that caught his attention.

There, resting on a table, was a compact multi-tool. It looked well-used but sturdy, its metal gleaming in the sunlight. "This could come in handy," he thought, imagining the potential uses during his travels.

He approached the vendor, an older man with a friendly smile and kind eyes. "How much for this multi-tool?" he asked, hoping to strike a good deal.

"Ah, that's a fine choice! I can let it go for 50 UC," the vendor replied, looking pleased. Our main character raised an eyebrow, considering the price.

"How about 40 UC?" he proposed, remembering the bargaining he had observed. The vendor scratched his chin thoughtfully. "You drive a hard bargain. Alright, 45 UC, and I'll include a small pouch for it!"

Kael smiled, feeling accomplished. "Deal!" he exclaimed, handing over the UC and receiving the multi-tool and pouch in return.

After his successful purchase of the multi-tool, kael decided that while he was in the market, it would be wise to look for some second-hand armor as well.

He understood that having some protective gear would be invaluable, especially if he was considering joining a mercenary group and embarking on potentially dangerous missions.

As he continued through the vibrant market, he kept an eye out for stalls or shops that might offer used armor.

The market was a treasure trove of items, and he spotted various stalls selling everything from clothing to gadgets, but he needed to find something specific.

His attention was drawn to a stall adorned with an assortment of shiny metal pieces and leather goods. The vendor, a burly woman with a striking presence, stood behind the table, her arms crossed, watching the passersby.

Curious, he approached the stall and began to inspect the items displayed.

There were several pieces of armor: Leather vests that looked durable yet flexible Metal bracers designed to protect the forearms. A light chest plate that caught his eye, reflecting the sunlight with a polished sheen.

He picked up the chest plate, feeling its weight and examining the craftsmanship. "This could provide decent protection without sacrificing mobility," he thought.

"How much for this chest plate?" he asked, holding it up for her to see.

The vendor smiled, her eyes glinting with shrewdness. "That one? It's a fine piece, but it has seen some battles. I'd let it go for 120 UC."

He hesitated, considering his budget. "What about 80 UC? It looks a bit worn.

The vendor raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "You drive a hard bargain, don't you? How about 100 UC? I'll even throw in a pair of bracers to match!"

Our main character thought for a moment, appreciating the offer. "Alright, 100 UC it is!" he agreed, feeling satisfied with his find.

He handed over the UC and received the chest plate and bracers, securing them under his arm.

"Great choice! Stay safe out there!" the vendor called after him as he walked away.

After finishing his shopping at the bustling market, Kael set his sights on the Mercenary Headquarters. As he walked through the streets of Passion City, he felt a mix of excitement and determination coursing through him.

As he drew closer, the Mercenary HQ loomed ahead, a striking structure that commanded attention.

The building featured a futuristic design, with sleek lines and a combination of glass and steel. Large windows reflected the vibrant energy of the city, giving the structure a lively, almost pulsating appearance.

It was an expansive building, several stories tall, with a wide entrance that seemed to welcome those seeking adventure and opportunity. Tall columns flanked the entrance, adding a sense of grandeur and strength.

Above the entrance, a massive sign displayed the words, "Mercenary Headquarters" in bold, illuminated letters. Below it, a smaller tagline read, "Where Strength Meets Opportunity!", enticing those who passed by.
