Chapter 2 - Changes 2

Bang! Bang! Someone kept on banging on the door and I was frustrated. I could barely sleep during the night as I was not familiar with the new area and when I finally got a chance, someone interrupted my sleep. I stuffed my face in the pillow"I'm up." "Aurora get down now for Breakfast, you've been in bed for a while now" it was my mom.

I came out and met them all dressed up. "Where are you guys going to?" I said as I munched on some bread I found on the table..

" We are heading to Mr. Sam's house so go and get ready immediately" I gasped "wait what ! I don't want to go Mum" she gave me a glare and I grumpily headed to my room. I put on a crop top and a baggy black trousers. As I stared at the mirror, I admired myself in the mirror; staring back at me was a *cough* alright I'm not really good at that aspect. Author please take over!!

Please do not mind Aurora, she's a bit shy. Aurora had a round flushing face that would fit perfecting in your cupped hands. She had a mole dotted just above her pouting lips, and a scatter of freckles all around,"

"She was pixie-small, with a fetchingly crescent waist and jutting collar bones. Her hair was like shiny, molten lava, pouring over her shoulders and reaching her mid-thigh. Her skin was pale and silken, contrasting the whimsical pop! of green in her opalescent eyes."

"Her skin was a warm beige that glowed under the merciless sun and backdropped all the layers of gold she had dangling from her arms. Her eyes were feline and utterly luminous, as if they had projected their own ray beams. Aurora's dainty hair strands swayed at the side of her face. She stared at herself in the mirror and was proud of her looks. Although she didn't want to go along with her parents, she still decided to look beautiful for Paris. They all got into the car and left for Mr. Sam's house. Mr. Sam was Aurora's dad closest friend from the army a long time ago and since he lived in Paris, he used the opportunity to pay him a visit. They got to his house and Aurora was impressed at the simplicity of the house. It had a warm feeling with the taste of French meals lingering around. "David!" Mr. Sam came out almost immediately. They hugged each other closely and began reminiscing on their memories together as they all headed to the Living room. We were served some snacks and juice alongside them. Mr. Sam looked at me for the first time since we arrived. "Oh my, oh my, Aurora has grown into a fine young lady," he exclaimed, and they all laughed again. I smiled politely.

Then, a young girl who appeared to be my age mate emerged. She wore glasses and a floral yellow dress with a ribbon tied to her hair in a delicate, fancy way. She greeted my parents with a curtsy, "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Lily, since you're headed out, maybe you can take Aurora out for a stroll in the city?" Mr. Sam suggested, looking at his daughter.

"Of course, Daddy, I'd be happy to," she replied with a bright smile, looking at me.

I glanced at my parents for consent as usual, and they nodded in agreement. Lily grasped my hand, and we stepped outside together.

As we walked, she smiled at me again. "Nice meeting you, Aurora. I just know you'll adore Paris. It's a beautiful city."

I couldn't help but agree with her; the city was indeed enchanting.
