Tony always dreamed of becoming a god in his previous life. It wasn't an easy goal, and Tony knew that for someone like him, achieving godhood was nearly impossible. After all, he wasn't born into a world that provided the proper conditions to gain the power he needed. When he eventually advanced to the rank of [Alien Ranger], he had lost the possibility of having his own local plane. Without a domain to call his own, his chances of becoming a god were further reduced. Without enough faith to fuel his power, aspiring to be a god was nothing more than an idle fantasy.
But now, in this new life, Tony had been given another shot. The possibilities seemed endless. Could he really try to become a god again? With his newfound abilities and powers from his previous life's experiences, Tony couldn't help but feel eager to test if godhood was within his grasp once more.
The key to unlocking his potential came in the form of a single drop of blood—the blood of a powerful [Vampire Lord]. This drop not only activated the mysterious system embedded in Tony's soul but also gave his body a transformation. Though still in the form of a baby just a few days old, Tony was far stronger than any other child his age. The sensation of hunger, once familiar and painful, was completely gone. Thanks to his new blood-hunter abilities, he could now survive by consuming blood, and with his daily supply of [Blood Essence] from his [Saint] blood contract, he had a renewable source of sustenance.
Tony was filled with satisfaction, knowing that he no longer needed to worry about being hungry. But there was so much more to explore. The system had so many features, and Tony wanted to understand all of them. So, he decided to take a closer look at what else the system could offer him.
As Tony activated the system, he felt his consciousness being transported to a new, strange realm. He found himself in front of a towering, gloomy castle, its architecture ancient and dark. This wasn't a physical journey—Tony's body remained where it was—but he felt as if he were floating like a ghost, drifting through the air. He moved toward the castle with curiosity, but what immediately caught his attention was the fountain sitting in front of the entrance.
It wasn't a normal fountain. The water in it wasn't clear; it had a deep red color, like blood. Tony soon realized that this was a blood fountain—a place where his [Blood Essence] was being stored. He couldn't help but wonder why there was so much blood in the fountain. The blood even included a rare and powerful type of blood: Blood of Ancestors.
The system provided an explanation. The blood in the fountain, Tony learned, was a byproduct of the [Vampire Archduke] blood he had consumed when activating the system. The immense energy contained in that blood had exceeded even the system's expectations. This was more than just normal [Blood Essence]; this was the residue from the activation process, and it was brimming with potential. Tony couldn't help but smile. It was all leftover from his past life, and he now had access to it in abundance.
With this new discovery, Tony continued to float forward, passing through the castle's gates and into the main hall. The hall was decorated in a way that was even more luxurious than the mansion of the Lestrange family he had known in this life. But Tony wasn't particularly interested in the grandeur of the hall. His eyes were fixed on something else: the Blood Altar positioned at the center of the room. The altar was surrounded by an aura of mystery, and Tony knew immediately that it had a significant purpose.
The Blood Altar was used to create and upgrade holy artifacts—powerful tools that could be used by someone with Tony's newfound abilities. Tony studied the altar closely and found that it required certain materials to function. To create a holy artifact, he needed just 1 [Ancestral Blood] and 100 [Blood Essence]. Fortunately, the blood spring in front of him contained more than enough for the task. Tony realized that he could now create his own holy artifact.
Excited by the prospect, Tony decided to give it a try. He carefully took 1 [Ancestral Blood] and 100 [Blood Essence] from the blood fountain, and they were soon consumed by the altar. As the blood entered the altar, it ignited a Blood Flame, a powerful fire used by vampires. Tony recognized the flame—it was something he had seen in his past life when a vampire had made a desperate final attempt to save itself. He had never imagined he would witness the same thing from the other side.
As the flame burned brightly, Tony patiently waited. The flame eventually died down, leaving behind a single object on the altar: a Talking Doll Necklace. This was the holy artifact that Tony had just created. The necklace granted him extra magic value and increased the power of all his damage magic effects.
Although the necklace wasn't incredibly powerful at first, Tony felt a sense of satisfaction. But he wasn't done. He knew he could upgrade it, improve its attributes, and make it even stronger. He wasn't content with just the base version of the holy artifact—he wanted to push it further.
The system offered the option to upgrade the holy artifact. Upgrading required more [Blood Essence], but Tony didn't hesitate. He was eager to see just how powerful the necklace could become. As he added more [Blood Essence], the altar lit up with Blood Flame once again, and the necklace slowly absorbed the energy. The first upgrade succeeded, and the necklace's magic value doubled. Its damage bonus also increased, making it much more useful.
But Tony was still not satisfied. He saw that there were more upgrades possible, and each upgrade came with a reduced success rate. The more upgrades he attempted, the harder it became to succeed. The second upgrade went smoothly, but the success rate began to drop after that. Despite the odds, Tony decided to continue upgrading the necklace. He had 111 [Blood Essence] remaining, and he was determined to push the necklace as far as he could.
After several attempts, the necklace reached the +3 upgrade. The magic value and the damage bonus had increased significantly. Tony was thrilled with the results. But now, he faced a decision. Should he continue upgrading the necklace or shift his focus to something else? The Ancestral Power of the holy artifact could also be upgraded, and Tony could gain new abilities from that. The system assured him that upgrading the Ancestral Power had a 100% success rate, so Tony decided to go ahead and enhance the necklace's power.
The upgrade was successful, and the Ancestral Power (+1) granted Tony the ability to summon a magic doll for one day. The magic doll could use a curse magic that weakened the opponent's attack and magic power. This was a useful skill—Tony could now summon a doll to fight alongside him, adding a new layer of strategy to his abilities.
Eager to test it out, Tony decided to summon the doll. The pendant on the [Talking Doll] necklace began to glow red, and before Tony's eyes, a small, three-headed doll appeared. The doll spoke, "You're so cute! Let's play together!" Tony, slightly embarrassed, muttered to himself, Please! I'm a boy!
And with that, Tony's new adventure as a blood hunter had truly begun.
