Ok before anything i'm going to say i'm new to writing and this is my first fanfic and i don't own anything of the TVD universe. This fanfic will be with Hope as the main female lead even if it's over done but it will be a darker take on it and I will not hesitate to kill off characters.
"No,N0 don't do this to me,Please Landon! Please wake up!" Hope begged, tears streaming down her face as she cradled Landon's lifeless body in her arms. Alaric and Rafael stood by, watching in somber silence as MG and Kaleb looked on with a mix of guilt and fear.
MG, still with blood dripping from his mouth, repeated his apologies. "I didn't mean to, it was an accident! I'm so sorry!"
Just as Alaric went to comfort Hope, shadows began to form around them. A dark-haired teenager emerged from the darkness, his presence seeming to fill the air with an unsettling energy. MG, Caleb, and Rafael felt a surge of fear, but Alaric remained wary.
"Who are you?" Alaric asked, his voice firm but cautious.
The stranger didn't respond directly. Instead, he raised his hand, and darkness enveloped MG, Caleb,Rafael, and Alaric from Hope's view. He began to circle around Hope as she cried over Landon's body.
"Landon doesn't have to stay dead. He can be revived...and become supernatural."the stranger said in a deep, rich voice that sent shivers down their spines.
Hope's eyes snapped towards the stranger, desperation burning within them. "What do you mean? How can you bring him back?"
The stranger smiled sinisterly. "I can make him an immortal Phoenix. He will rise from the ashes, reborn and powerful, however this will come at a cost."
"I don't care what it costs! Just bring him back!" Hope exclaimed, her voice laced with desperation.
The stranger chuckled low in his throat. "Very well," he said with a wave of his hand.
Landon's body suddenly erupted into flames, causing Hope to jump back in shock. She tried to attack the stranger but found herself frozen in place.
"No! What are you doing?" Hope screamed as she watched Landon's body burn.
"Fulfilling my part of the deal," he revealed with a gentle smile that belied the darkness beneath. "And I have made Landon into an immortal Phoenix."
"Who are you" Hope asked
Leaning close next to her ear he spoke while caressing her cheek he darkly said:
"My name used to be Hades, however I go by Hayden now also, he'll be alive when the flames die out...but I'll be back to collect my payment soon."p80
"What payment?" Hope managed to stammer out despite being frozen in place.
Hades leaned in closer, his breath whispering against her ear. "You'll find out soon enough. But for now...just enjoy your reunion with Landon."
With that, Hades vanished into thin air as suddenly as he appeared. The darkness dissipated from around MG and Caleb they stumbled forward looking confused
MG looked at hope then at landons burning corpse before asking shakily
"W-what just happened?"
Alaric stepped forward eyes scanning their surroundings
"We need to get out of here now"
But hope stood frozen staring intently at landons burning form waiting for any sign of life.
As the ashes settled, Landon's body became visible, his chest rising and falling with each breath. Hope's eyes widened in a mix of shock and relief as she rushed to his side. "Landon! Oh my god, you're alive!"
Alaric quickly ushered everyone back to the Salvatore boarding school, eager to get Landon medical attention and figure out what had just happened.
Later, in Alaric's office at the school, Hope sat down across from him, still trying to process everything that had occurred. "Hope, I need you to tell me what happened," he said, taking a deep breath.
Hopes breath caught
Alaric leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers. "What is it, Hope? What did that...that thing do to Landon?"
Hope explained everything - the stranger's appearance, his claim of being Hades, and the deal she had made to bring Landon back to life. Alaric listened intently, his expression growing increasingly concerned.
"When Hades said he'd be back to collect his payment..." Hope trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know what he wants or what it could be."
Alaric's face was grim. "We need to be prepared for anything. If this is truly Hades from Greek mythology...we're dealing with a god. And if it's some teenager pretending to be a god...we still need to take precautions as its a teenager with the power to not only bring back the dead but also turn humans into supernatural."
He rummaged through a drawer and pulled out a small glass ball. "Take this," he said, handing it to Hope. "When Hades appears to collect his payment...throw this ball under your feet and break it."
Hope took the glass ball hesitantly. "What will that do?"
"It'll trap Hades," Alaric explained. "At least temporarily. It's an old trick I learned from some research on supernatural binding spells."
Hope nodded resolutely and pocketed the glass ball.
"I won't let him harm anyone else," she vowed.
But as they sat there in silence for moment longer
a chill crept over hope spine
she knew little about gods especially one like hades
