Chapter 1 - Welcome To New Eridu!

Haa. Let me tell you something.

Imagine this. You're laying in your bed, praying to whatever gods are out their as you click on the 10 pull, using up the last of the polychromes you save up. You pray and pray as the same animation you've seen over 1000 times play, going through each roll before finally.

God. Damn. Nekomata.

Red is the only thing you could see. The 20 days it took you to scrape the meager polychromes you could to get through 80 pulls... Just for a fucking furry instead of the more cooler furry.

Now, understandably, you'd be mad. You scream, throw your controller to the ground... before freezing. You reach up and clutch your chest, pain exploding through your body. You pass out, your final sight the sight of your misery....

And then, you wake up! However, instead of waking up in your room....

"Fucking New Eridu!" I bang my head against the concrete wall of an alley, scaring away a few stray cats nearby. I let out a groan of pain, crouching down and gritting my teeth as I clutch the spot of my forehead I banged against the wall.

Hi. Right now, my name is irrelevant. But currently, as of around maybe 30 minutes ago I had found myself in a place I thought completely fictional after suffering a heart attack from gacha.

Where, you might ask? Zenless Zone Zero. Y'know, it might seem like a boon. After all, there were countless numbers of beauties- FORGET ABOUT THAT!!

Like, 90% of the world has been taken over by the hollows! Hell, even the moon is half corrupted by them! This world is in an apocalyptic state and now I'm suddenly smack down in the middle of it!

Honestly, I told myself that if I were to ever reincarnate, I'd chose a simple world, not somewhere like here.

"Argh, this fucking sucks..." I slump to the ground, leaning back against the wall behind me as I stare up at the sunny sky. Honestly, I was scared. After all, I was just an ordinary human. Unlike the agents, I wasn't capable of throwing hands with Ethereals, and I definitely wasn't anywhere near Miyabi's level.

The only thing I had was knowledge. But that knowledge, in a way was useless. Sure, I could go up to Belle and Wise and proclaim everything like a prophet, but that would end the second Bringer dies. After that, my usefulness would basically be dried up. Then that would just leave the question of how I possibly know of that stuff.

Become a Proxy? Pft, fuck no. All that technological mumbo jumbo seems beyond me. In the game, they made look easy just by typing on the keyboard. Then again, Phaethon was really the only proxy shown and they could travel into Hollow's with the use of their Bangboo... Definitely don't have that kind of tech.

So, what was I supposed to do. Wallow in this alley and eventually starve to death? Honestly, why was I even reincarnated into this world? Pity? Pettiness for insulting the game? No, the better question is how could I have possibly been transported here.

"Ugh, nothing makes sense anymore." I raise my arm, going to rub my temple but pause. There, on the back of my hand was a tattoo. A very simple one with the design of a katana in it's sheath. Last I checked, I never owned a tattoo in my life.

"Some kind of power? Maybe I wasn't just dropped here with jack..." With my other hand I slowly reach up and run my finger along the tattoo.

*WHOOSH*

I jerk my hand back as a burst of white flames erupt from the tattoo. I almost screamed out in shock, only to realize the flames didn't hurt at all. Instead, they felt warm and comforting. Like a large blanket on a cold night.

The flame grew in size, moving towards my palm where it begin to take shape. I instinctively grasped it as the flames dispersed outwards, revealing a simple designed katana contained in a pitch black sheath.

Witnessing the magical scene left me in a state of awe for a few moments before I quickly shook myself out my shock, "Well... it's definitely something." But... did it really help my situation? I mean, I guess if I get cornered by some thugs I can pull of that little scene again...

"Wait... something definitely feels different." I look down at my body in a daze. I felt an intoxicating sense of power within my body. I felt lighter, my vision seemed far mor sharper than it ever was in my life. Even the lingering pain from bashing my head against a wall had now been replaced by a slight numbness.

"Now this is definitely something." I start to stand up, placing a hand down onto the ground to support myself... But.

*Crack!*

I freeze, slowly craning my head down to see my hand embedded a few inches into the ground.

That... That was definitely new.

Okay, it seems this sword has given me an immense increase in strength. It just went from slightly helpful to avoid some gangs, to immensely helpful in helping me live.

"Now, the question is if I only gain this strength once the sword is out." It took a few minutes of testing but I was able to figure out how to recall the sword. Pressing it against the back of my hand, it was slowly absorbed until it disappeared as if never there. It was nice I didn't have to carry it around everywhere.

Now, the real question. I reach up, pressing my finger against the wall and gently push. There was an ominous sound as cracks begin to spread around where my finger touch and I quickly pulled back.

It was safe to assume I still kept my strength. Perhaps the sword was just in a dormant state and calling upon it allowed me to gain these powers? Not exactly the greatest thought process but honestly, who cares? I got cool superhuman strength now!

If that was me holding back, who knows what I'm capable of at full strength! Even more, what if the sword also has another cool powers.

"This changes all my plans." My original plan was no longer needed. Instead, now I can directly interfere with the plot. Despite the grimness of the world, the current ZZZ storyline was simple. Simple in the way that despite the brief troubles, nobody in the main cast is really hurt in any way.

Honestly, from what I can remember, only Belle sustaining a bit of corruption after getting caught up in a hollow after the whole Belobog Industries fiasco, nobody got hurt majorly.

Still, despite that, I definitely want to get involved in the main plot now... Not to make sure nothing goes off course. Hell no! Do you know how many beautiful woman are in this game? Being able to see them up close and in person instead of a screen is definitely something most players would probably kill for.

"Alright, it's decided." With resolution in my eyes I step out the alleyway, greeted to the cozy atmosphere of Sixth Street.

"I'm going to goon to all the females in this game."
