To me, Delilah's Inn is more than just a Webnovel; it's a brainchild I've nurtured for three years. Every page represents a journey, and I've poured more time and effort into refining this book than any other work I've ever written.
I had countless reservations before publishing it, but here we are publishing my first werewolf web novel. Veronica Gordon is, without a doubt, my favorite female lead so far, and I hope she becomes yours as well.
Rest assured that this is packed with twists and turns that even left me shocked at times. There are sections I like to call "bonus stories"-you'll understand why soon enough. The title Delilah's Inn (duh-LY-luhz in) is inspired by the infamous biblical figure Delilah, whose name is often associated with being "a beautiful, cunning, and treacherous woman; a femme fatale." In case you're wondering, the female lead is only nicknamed "Delilah"-she's not meant to embody the actual Delilah.
When I say this is a dark romance, rest assured, there's no glorification of evil here, I don't support some of things here in real life. While the female lead is menacingly cold and cruel, the male lead balances her out as her opposite, fitting the reverse grumpy and sunshine trope. That said, he's neither weak nor foolish-I cherish him, so please roast him gently.
The story is primarily told from his perspective, with occasional chapters from the female lead and some sections labeled as "Narrator's View" in third person. Why this structure? Well, you'll have to read to find out!
While there's no smut in this book, there are intense and potentially disturbing scenes, each accompanied by content warnings to ensure readers are prepared. I choose not to write smut because it's not something I'm comfortable with. Personally, I find it draining and triggering, and it would compromise the emotional depth I want to explore in this story.
I hope you'll stay for the plot-it's better to exclude smut altogether than to include it poorly, in my opinion.
For a better understanding of the tale, I recommend reading the next auxiliary chapter, "Glossary," which explains the structure of the inn. If the themes or tropes I've mentioned aren't to your liking, feel free to drop the book.
I welcome constructive criticism, suggestions, predictions, and even character roasts, as long as they stay respectful and focused on the story rather than targeting me personally. Thank you for reading, and welcome to Delilah's Inn.
