The glowing moon hovers over a short dark figure. "Hey, Azael, are you still upset about what happened to them?" He didn't give an instant reply. "yeah I mean they were close to me". "These gravestones are the only thing I have left of my family besides this stone that was left for me". The stone was black yet you could see through It, the shape of the stone was round and the size was as big as a hand and it almost looked like a marble. Azael looked back at the person who spoke to him and smiled. "So what are you doing here Ezra?"Ezra went to Azael and smacked him on the back of his head and smiled. "What are you talking about, you're my best friend I will always try to be there for you" Ezra was 6 '5 with a strong body, Azael was 5 '6,he also had curly short black hair. Azael then showed Ezra the stone in his hand and said,"still haven't been able to figure it out".Ezra knew that Azael just needed company and they both sat down and looked at it for some time before leaving.After the cemetery they both decided to go home but walked with each other until they arrived home.Azael finally arrived back home to his apartment it didn't look new but was a decent building.Entering his room he looked around and sighed. "I still can't believe they're gone" his parents were in the war when the world was attacked by Draxuene's, they were not full-bred dragons but tall, had human features, and liked to fight a lot over territory. The features of the dragons were big human bodies,long claws,the body of a human but subtle features of the head of a dragon with rough scales on its body.Their tails were almost as long or longer than a crocodiles Draxuenes were very dangerous because as they fought they got stronger which meant it was hard for the citizens to win. It was a tough battle but the people and the Draxuenes ended up leaving and came to an agreement,as long as humans didn't interfere with their territory and kind no harm would come to them, Human society was close to being extinct after the war with dozens of deaths including Azael's parents. Azael lay on his bed, looked up at his ceiling, and started to think about his parents. He remembers them being kind to him but he had never got to spend much time with them. Azael lost his parents at the age of nine and he visits their grave a lot. " Man why did I have to lose them" "IT'S NOT FAIRRRRR" Azael is 15 years old now. After a while, he had fallen asleep.The next day he woke up and went to school. Azael went to class like he always had but as he was doing that he saw someone coming towards him.

"SPLASH" 

Water got spilled on him and a group started to form laughing at him. Tommy used an ability he had that controlled water. "Why would you do that Tommy?" Azael looked at him with frustration, he was dripping water on the floor and his clothes were soaked. Tommy just shrugged it off and laughed." What are you going to do, not like you have any ability to do anything about it" Tommy walked away laughing.Azael knew he could do nothing to him. He knew that people with abilities always thought they were on top of those who didn't have any.Although the ability didn't matter as long as the user knew what they were doing. Back when the fight against the Draxuenes were still active, abilities were developed by humans and saved humanity. Ezra saw Azael standing in the hall and approached him. "Azael what happened? Don't tell me Tommy picked on you again".Azael replied back, "Mmm yeah, but it's fine since we can't do anything about either way." Ezra gave him a bag of clothes "Go change, I have some clothes in there, you can give them back once you have your own clothes dry." "Thank you so much, Ezra, I was beginning to freeze." After he finished school he walked home with Ezra. " Hey Azael, how have you been since everything?" Ezra knew that it was still hurting him inside even if he didn't show or talk much about it. "Well I miss them a lot but at the same time I understand what they had to do and the cost." The sun was going down and both of them just smiled at each other. " Hey Ezra, what would you do if you opened your ability stone?" " Ezra stopped and started to think. " I would mostly use it to help others like you." Azael just laughed it off and said "of course you would but that answer was as plain as day, I mean we have been friends even before my parents you know and thanks to you I at least have someone that cares about me." They both reached Azael's apartment. "Well see ya Azael and oh yeah I almost forgot don't forget it's your birthday tomorrow. There is a chance the military will take you in." Ezra then left after saying that. "Oh yeah I forgot about that, I hope it's not too bad" The sun had set already and it was pretty much dark except for some spots that had lighting from lamps. As he walked to his room number he kept thinking about how he could get his parents to come back to life. He closed the door and locked it. Azael grabbed the stone and looked at it,he knew it was an ability stone but nothing happened whenever he tried to open it.he tried to crack it open but nothing had changed,he tried to burn it ,and bite it but nothing happened. Azael gave up after his failed attempts since he wasn't getting anywhere with opening it.He threw the stone on the floor with force out of frustration and his ears started to ring.

"DINGG" 

It was loud and the frequencies were high. He was afraid it would cause attention to him but people didn't knock on his door or bother to check the noise.

"AGHHH" the stone hadn't broken and made him even more frustrated he decided to try and sleep it off. 

The next day he went to school but he was happy since it was a friday.Ezra didn't go with him this time. Azael knew that it was only his business to check on his parents' grave stone and visit as he walked to the cemetery and looked for his parents. He found the gravestones and started to talk to them about his day and other things as well. "Hey mom and dad, can you see me from up there? I turned 16 today." Azael looked down at the ground and said " Mother and father I miss you both so much I understand that your deaths weren't your fault." Azael started to have tears in his eyes as he looked at the gravestones. "Why did you give me this ability stone when it doesn't even work?I tried everything to unlock it but nothing I do works." At that moment his tears landed on the stone and it started to shine. As he saw what was happening to him the stone started to disappear and his eyes started to close unconsciously as he was falling down and his eyes were closing he saw
