It's 2035 and the Earth is blindsided by the Apocalypse, resulting in what scholars of the new era call the Era of Myriad Changes and igniting the flames of resistance . This resistance led to a civil war that lasted a short few years, the cause of this being the same thing that caused the apocalypse. The apocalypse brought with it a myriad of changes, the biggest being the cause of all the changes in the first place. On that fateful day seismic activity monitors, atmospheric weather devices, and many other data collection instruments went haywire but not before catching brief readings of an energy so complex, concentrated and potent that it disabled most technology and anything relying on the understanding of scientific principles such as physics and mechanical creations like planes and vehicles lost the ability to do what they were designed to do but they weren't completely unsalvageable, Although planes did lose the ability to sustain themselves in the sky and resulted in a lot of deaths, some motorized vehicles were still functional but had a massive reduction in capability thus allowing those curious and courageous enough to experiment and develop the technology that allowed them to harness the energy that now flowed through the atmosphere like air, but it didn't end there because if it did it would't have been aptly named the Era of Changes. That was only the first wave of energy the earth experienced because next came 8 more waves of the complex energy all targeting different things and forcibly adapting the affected beings to its presence, on this day the whole planet felt waves of energy flowing through them, nourishing them and even healing the people of its diseases and defects, purifying and even upgrading humanity into their next evolutionary form The Homo Galaxias or Human of the milky-way. That first evolution for humanity didn't change much physically but allowed humanity to now sense and with time, understanding and practice, to absorb this energy into themselves and produce a myriad of different effects. But humanity hadn't discovered this yet because the cause of the change, the newly acquired seventh brain region allowed humans access to an ability and humanity took this in stride adding more fuel to the fire that was the civil war.

In order to combat the rise of super powered criminals and corrupt leaders a secretive and detached part of the government gathered scientist and other curious minds to collect and research data on the 7th brain region which was almost missed in the first examination of the newly attained human body due to the fact that this region of the brain is measured in micro-millimeter's and further study proved that this tiny spot could potentially appear anywhere on the brain, further data also proved that ability manifestation correlated to the location of the 7th brain region meaning people with similar or related abilities were discovered to be located on the same side and general location of the brain. With this new data it allowed the secret organization to create a device capable of reading and quantifying a persons ability power, and another to temporarily suppress abilities when worn. This allowed them to find people of high ability even when the person themselves were clueless to their own ability. All the while the world is in chaos, with prisons incapable of holding super powered criminals and politicians in there own corrupt world of willful ignorance by allowing things to continue and the people already fighting a losing rebellion, sought to end the governing system and establish a new one on top of its ashes. The organization finally having quality and numbers on there side decided it was time to step out into the light, shifting the balance to the resistance and allowing them to claim victory. The next revelation of change happened after victory was claimed by the resistance, with all the corrupt officials either killed or on the run the establishment of a new governing system took place. The organization proposed the Ninefold Concord, this governing system allowed for the creation of Guilds that could rise through the ranks and be nominated to hold a position in government by the decree of the people. Soon the Organization adopted the name of the Guild of Knowledge then soon after 8 more Guilds rose to prominence starting with the Guild of Steel, the Guild of Shadows, the Guild of the Arcane, the Guild of Nature, the Guild of the Forge, the Guild of Trade, the Guild of Vitalis, and the Guild of the Horizon. With the establishment of the new government and stability for the people this allowed humanity to make leaps and bounds of progress in our understanding of this new energy that was later named mana for simplicities sake. Humanity with all this new information was ecstatic to explore the new horizons and discover just how much the world had evolved. Exploration and testing in controlled environments showed that this energy called mana had changed everything it touched, and the laws of the universe were no exception, even plants and animals bathed in this energy and underwent evolution just as humans did. Machines and other technology, once touched by this energy operated on a different more powerful set of laws and without the proper understanding and knowledge it became a very dangerous but rewarding time for everyone and thanks to curiosity and the determined minds of that generation, they paved the way not only for the next generation but for their own. Using the new knowledge of advanced scientific laws and the newly integrated energy known as mana allowed for them to create The system, a fusion of nano technology and basic rudimentary rune work allowed for a person who took the injection access to the new internet and introduction to a easy to adapt to power system based on race, class, job, and sub-jobs/hidden classes.

Like this 510 years go bye and humanity struggled from the bottom of the evolutionary pond to being able to stand on shore and enforce democracy and capitalism on all the ponds occupants. Pretty soon a hierarchy was created based on power with wealth and talent as multiplying factors, Starting of as an advanced Human there are 6 tiers recorded for humans in the the evolution pyramid each having 9 small realms before reaching the next and each with their own energy requirements and limit breaking tests. The advanced human realm being the starting point for everyone functioned as the foundation realm being as every evolution afterwords merges, strengthens and enhances skills and abilities. Next is the superhuman realm, in this realm abilities undergo refinement and gain a passive or active effect, depending on the ability itself and the understanding/talent of the person this can sometimes result in said person gaining more than one effect in either category. The next 4 tiers vary in terms of what kind of evolutionary upgrade you wish to pursue and are highly dependent on oneself and how they choose to proceed but are named as follow, adaption realm, manipulation realm, void resilience realm, and the celestial realm.

In the year 2507 thanks to the Guild of the Horizon humanity established contact with its first alien species calling themselves Xirathians, claiming to be allies they gift humanity limited advanced knowledge and access to limited space travel but the biggest gift being in the form of a blueprint called the Apex Spire proclaiming that it'll help train and allow for humanity to grow stronger, and finding no reason to reject them the Ninefold Concord built a tower for each continent allowing for all the people of the world to participate and experience the Apex Spire. All seems to be going well on the surface but as everyone knows all the real movement happens hidden under the hood of a machine.
