"She made a mistake any of us would have made," I said to mother Olga.
"Rules are rules, dear girl," mother Olga responded casually.
I felt a bit of frustration bubbling up. Karena was the absolute worst. She was selfish and quiet evil but she did not deserve the humiliation and she was pregnant, a cold cell was no place for somebody in her state.
"Please, mother Olga," I begged but my pleas fell on deaf ears.
Mother Olga's mind was made up. She was going to deal with Karena.
I spent the entire night awake, twisting and turning as I tried to conjure a plan to get Karena out of her cell.
I knew what I had to do but unfortunately, it requited me exposing myself.
As soon as I was certain that everyone had turned in for the night, I snuck out of my room and tiptoed downstairs, using every firm object as a guide until I was out of the main building.
