Chapter 8 - Chapter 2 Part 4 (Cont)

Then a solid wall of air hit.

They were floating over a fan system! One so intense she flew. Dozens of others floated with them.

Incredibly, Tiffany used her board as both an engine and a rudder, flying with ease.

It didn't take long for Griff to excel. It was all too good to be true.

The rushing wind was a thrill that chilled, hugged and cuddled. Her toes curled, knees bent, the upwards force spinning her, turning her over and over again.

Tiff pointed to a long winding tunnel that sunk to underground parking. She contorted and the wind spun her before giving way and she glided down, Kate wasn't a moron. She understood aerodynamics but Griff and Tiff treated it as a scam made by nerds to hold her back in life. Even more wind buffeted them, tough enough to feel solid. But amazingly, swimmable.

Griff was having the greatest of times, Kate couldn't help but smile. She was a good sister, right? Letting so much happen. That's what she'd have to explain to the magistrate after they took her fingerprints and walled her in a tiny white room, handcuffed and muzzled.

The tubes ran into infinity. Griff immediately twisted and the wind ate him up. Kate… um… eventually gave chase. She spent a moment doing an impression of a yoyo. But got the hang of it. Tiffany took another turn into a manhole, diving in. Griff followed, and Kate froze, it was a really small hole. She wasn't that fat, but at the same time…

She took a breath and dove.

Smack!

Warning! Pain receptors have activated. Do you need assistance?

She hit her hand, scraping and bouncing around what might as well have been a vent. Once through, and free of reliving what a birth must've felt like, she fell into a neon black lit room.

It was another world.

Neon lips, teeth and eyes floated around, all in the centre of… Kate wanted to say Olympic swimming pool but that would've been doing it an injustice. It was a donut.

A party at its core. She slid down the ramp and was caught by Tiffany. Kate wasn't skinny but Tiff made her feel light in the princess's hold. Kate count down how long she was being held up.

"Up ye go. I guess I forgot ta get ya a board." Tiff said.

"What is all this?" Kate yelled.

"Our lil undergroun, ets our perfect home. It's an abandoned buildin'. It's condemned to be destroyed but…"

"It's cheaper to keep it up." Kate finished, waving her off.

"Yer brother's talented. I'm officially convinced."

"Yeah, wasn't exactly trying to, but I'm glad I followed you."

Tiffany smiled… well she always smiled, life was apparently amazing to Tiff but in that moment a more purified version broke free.

"Come on, let's sit, I still have things te show."

They found a table consisting of bags filled with air. At its center was a holographic fire. With a tap on the wrist, the fire became a search screen. The screen floated over them followed by a Bing.

"Look, you're famous."

There was a video of Griff, doing his move. Followed by Red. But his face was blurred out. He was too young to have a presence.

"A new face? A new contender? No name yet, likely too young to be eligible for any search. A trickster and algorithm free. How mad is that? Keep an eye out and admire the good moves some of these civvies have!"

Kate appeared too. The angle of the drone was crazy, it showed them tandem boarding past the truck.

Tiffany howled clapping her hands.

Kate put an arm around her brother like a bullet proof vest.
