•First Rank: Characterized by the ability to create a magic spell within a single circle. Can contend with a Scourge Rank Abyssal Creature.

•Second Rank: Characterized by the ability to create a magic spell with two distinct circles. Can contend with Abyssal Creatures of the Apostate Rank and below.

•Third Rank: Characterized by the ability to manifest their will and create three-circled magic. Can contend with Abyssal Creatures of the Horror Rank and below.

•Fourth Rank: Characterized by the ability to manifest their will significantly into the world, as well as the creation of complex three-circled magic. Can contend with Fiend Rank Abyssal Creature and below.

•Fifth Rank: Characterized by the ability to manipulate concepts, extrapolate their will, and create four-circled magic circles and spells. Can contend with Prince of Darkness Rank Abyssal Creatures and below.

•Sixth Rank: Characterized by the ability to create Sage Domains, manipulate concepts, extrapolate their will, and create five-circled magic circles and spells. Can contend with Duke of Hell Ranked Abyssal Creatures and below. Possess a True Name.

•Scourges: Possess a single origin essence core. Bottom of the totem pole, and impulsed to engage in wanton slaughter, carnal vices, and destruction.

•Apostates: Possess two origin essence cores. Can resist carnal desires.

•Horrors: Possess three origin essence cores. Can amplify carnal desires.

•Fiends: Possess three origin essence cores. Can transfer carnal desires.

•Princes of Darkness: Possess four origin essence cores. Can feed and grow on gathering carnal desires.

Note: Each Rank of Sorcerer and Abyssal Creatures can be further divided into three Tiers; Lesser, Proper and Higher.

•Terminology:

•Origin Essence Core: Power source of Stygian entities (Abyssal Creatures). Contains mana.

•Mana: The defining origin power source of magic.

•Spells: A Sorcerer's means of implementing mana.

•Magic Circles: A geometric symbol or group of symbols used to manifest a spell into existence.

•Abyssal Planes: Group of worlds connected to one another through the Tower of Babel. Home to all Stygian Entities, and the birthplace of the Dark Gods.

•Abyssal Palaces: A type of magic structure that exists in the soil of the Bane family members due to their connection with a Dead Dark God. Allows a Demon to take seat within the soul of a Bane Sorcerer, granting them power and frightening abilities.

•Bloodlines: An ancestral link in blood that connects ever Demon, Devil, and every other Stygian Entities to their roots; the Dark Gods.

•Cursed Weapons: Weapons containing a curse.

•Curses: Special magical spells that have longlasting and perpetual effects with dark effects.

•Circle of Magi: Powerful organization of Sorcerers consisting of several great families and a large number of unaffiliated freelancing Sorcerers. Their objective is to prevent the gaps between the human world and the Abyssal Planes from being breached, allowing the hosts of hell to invade.

•Types of Spells:

•Phenom-type Magic: Spells that affect nature itself. These possess the power to control the elements, manipulate reality, and even momentarily create and destroy concepts.

•Soul Magic: Spells that completely ignore the physical world and travel through spiritual means. These are the most dangerous types of spells thanks to their sinister nature, as they can be casted without the affected ever realizing. It is use very frequently by Devils.

•Divination Magic: Spells that affect fate. With them, one can peer into the future and past. At high levels, some Sorcerers can even manipulate them to an extent, although it is advisable to not commit such folly.

•Enchantments: Spells that can strengthen the essence of an item or individual, increasing the potency of a particular effect or ability the item or individual possesses.

•Sorcerer Types:

•Oracles: Primarily use Divination magic.

•Mages: Primarily use Phenom-type Magic.

•Wizards: Primarily use Soul Magic.

•Enchanters: Primarily use Enchantments.
