Chapter 6 - Fin

"Amelia", a boy in a black shirt and gray pants with a striking face and messy black hair, pedaled furiously on his bicycle.

Chasing a sleek white car zipping down the street.

Inside the car, a woman with dark hair which is dyed blue around the neck.

She glanced at the rear mirror with her blue eyes.

"Kara, I'm stopping here," Amelia said, checking her side mirror.

"No, don't," Kara shot back, rolling her eyes so hard they practically spun.

"That guy needs to hit rock bottom before he gets it. It makes me sick seeing someone so lazy. He's lucky to have such a drop-dead gorgeous, boss-level girlfriend."

Amelia bit her lip, concentrating on the road.

They screeched to a halt in front of a building with a massive makeup ad plastered across it.

Amelia swung the car into a parking spot under a tree, both women stepping out with synchronized 'don't mess with me' vibes.

"Amelia!" the boy called, skidding to a halt on his bicycle.

Unfazed, he pulled out a handbag.

"Here, you forgot this," he said.

Smiling innocently as he handed her the bag containing her lunch.

"Thank you," Amelia replied, guilt creeping into her voice as she accepted the bag.

"And here, Kara, I also made some for you," he added, handing her another lunch box.

"Hmph," Kara snatched it with disgust.

"Now go back and wash clothes like the useless guy you are," she sneered, turning away.

"Kara, enough," Amelia said, frustration clear in her voice as she looked down.

"What? Did I say something wrong? It disgusts me to see him in our circle," Kara retorted, pulling Amelia toward the entrance.

Amelia cast a guilt-ridden glance back at him before disappearing inside with Kara.

On the other side of Amelia's car, inside a black Mercedes like car.

Alex observed the scene while on his sleek smartphone.

"Yes, Master," a voice confirmed on the other end.

Alex pocketed his phone and stepped out.

Focusing on the frustrated boy glaring at the building's door.

The boy's anger faded, but as he turned around, he collided with Alex and fell back.

"What the f*** are yo—" he began, frustration bubbling.

But surprise replaced anger when he looked up.

Alex grabbed his collar and hoisted him up, an intense look on his face.

"Dad?" the boy stammered, eyes wide with shock.

"Oh, you remember me? I thought you'd forgotten," Alex said, staring intently at his son.

Fin felt embarrassed as his dad had seen one of his secrets.

"B-but dad, you—" he began, but Alex's glare made him look down.

Sighing, Alex pulled his son into a hug.

"Fin, My son You should've called me, if things got tough. I'm still here for you," he said softly.

Hoping to repair their strained bond, emphasizing 'My son'

Conflicted, In that moment Fin realized his father's tough love might be aimed to prepare him for life's harsh realities.

He had pushed him away for his own good.

After a moment, Fin nodded, his expression softening.

Alex gently guided him toward the car, relief and determination settling in their hearts.

They had much to discuss, but for now, being together was what mattered.

Alex smirked playfully, 'After all, you're my son now and that Amelia was fine, maybe just maybe..'

---

Inside the building, two girls watched the unfolding scene through the glass.

"Look, I told you he's gay," Kara said, shocked and jealous, glancing at the luxurious black Car.

Amelia shot her a glare.

"What? Just because they were hugging, you think he's gay?"

"But—" Kara started, but Amelia cut her off.

"Shut up, let me think for a second," Amelia muttered, massaging her temples.

'She's so annoying,' she sighed, rolling her eyes at Kara's skepticism.

Alex checked his son's status.

'huh? wait fate is related to luck maybe,it decresses over the time? or maybe i am close to death? nah'

Alex shifted his prospective and deleted those virus like thoughts.

"So," Alex began, breaking the silence. "Amelia, huh?"

Fin shifted uncomfortably.

"Yeah, she's... she's great."

"Is she?" Alex's tone was skeptical.

"She seems to let her friend talk to you like that."

"Amelia's not like Kara," Fin defended.

"She cares about me."

Alex sighed. "Fin, I don't like how she treats you. You deserve someone who respects you, not someone who stands by while her friend insults you."

Fin frowned. "It's not that simple, Dad."

"If you want that girl, I can arrange it," Alex said seriously in a fatherly tone.

"No, I'll make her fall in love with me on my own," Fin replied, looking determinedly outside.

Smack!

Alex slapped his head against the side door.

"Idiot," he thought.

He wanted to help him but felt his son was beyond redemption.

He started the car, planning to drop him off on his way to work, since the college was just 6 km away.

He also wanted to admire the beautiful scenery of this world.

.....

Alex drove near Starly University and stopped in front of the mid-range Boys Hotel.

"Wait, what about my bike?" Fin asked, breaking the silence, his hand on the door lock, his embarrassment apparent.

Alex shook his head at him. thinking, 'Come on, give me a break. I've just reincarnated; I can't deal with all this cringe and nonsense.'

"Don't worry about it," Alex replied, pulling out a seemingly ordinary credit card.

'This should have some money, I guess,' he rationalized, then suddenly remembered.

'Oh no,' he thought, putting it back in his pocket.

That card was one of his premium cards for significant transactions.

Instead, he took out another card with almost $12,000 on it.

"Here, take this. Don't stress over minor things. I'll pick you up in two days, so pack your things and take care of yourself, okay?"

Fin hesitated as he took the card. "Dad, I—"

"We'll talk about it later, Fin. I have to go," Alex interjected.

"Oye, Oldman, you always do this. atleast let me finish my sentence, hmph." Fin opened the door and stepped out.

"Huh?" He turned to see his father exiting the driver's seat and approaching him.

"Wait, wait, wait hear me out, just hear me out! I SAID HEAR ME OUT!" Fin took two steps back, covering his face.

Shit. In that moment, he realized he had messed up.

...

"Take care, Fin," Alex said with a smile as he drove away.

"Yeah," Fin replied, waving goodbye.

He glanced around, hoping no one had witnessed the affectionate exchange with his dad.

"Ahh, shit," he muttered, touching his swollen cheeks as he noticed the watchman sitting in his chair.

Fin hurried inside, trying to hide his flushed face.

"Fuck my luck."
