Nyarlathotep was bored extremely bored. So how do chaos gods find entertainment? Unfortunately for them it isn't by causing what their namesake implies. It's the god equivalent of "channel surfing" for Nyarlathotep he was recently hooked on the idea of a system so naturally he was watching mortals who desired one/had a go with the flow personality. Imagine the surprise on Nyarlathotep's non existent face when as he was about to give up finds the perfect person.
"Holy shit this Riley Elias Atwell manged to master all mortal sword styles, and techniques? Heh ha ha HAHAHAHA! Personality is also perfect. His wish to master fictional sword styles is also perfect though it is ironic his least favorite anime character is Killer B. Honestly? I really don't blame him though I need to create a suitable vessel hmm but who." As Nyarlathotep is in deep thought an interview begins causing Nyarlathotep to watch. Of course like any chaos god he manipulates the probability of certain questions.
As the interview goes on the reporter under Nyarlathotep's influence asks the following questions. "Mr. Atwell these last questions I thought of off the cuff. So to start I'll ask them all as there isn't many, and you can just rapidly answer them. Question #1: If you had a favorite fictional character who is it, and if you were to become them would it be tolerable? Question #2: If you were reincarnated what kind of system would you like? Lastly is Question #3: How would you like to reincarnate? Wake up in another world or something more cliché so you'd know what's up."
Riley ponders for a few before answering with a child like glee in his eyes. "I've honestly asked myself those questions so I'll answer in the order of your questions for simplicity's sake. Now onto your 1st question. When it comes down to it my favorite character is Acheron from Honkai: Star Rail. Though I'd request I keep my memories/I'm not effected by the memory erosion. For her outfit there is a specific fan design I absolutely love so I'd pick that outfit. Next is I'd get rid of that red flower power up state. With that said I'd also change her sword Naught to have the abilities of Vergil's Yamato, and Akame's shingu Kiriichimonji the sword she had prior to Murasame then I want it to have 100% magic conductivity which is relevant for personal abilities.
Now for the final bits. I'd like the following abilities to make up for not having the red bloom mode: Shadow's magic from The Eminence in Shadow. Then I'd also like Danger Sense, and lastly I want the ability to turn my sheathe into another Naught, and finally I wanna summon a third without a sheathe.
Now For my system I'd like one that has a dimensional gacha or something to let me travel to other worlds as rewards for quests. The quests are combat oriented so I can master the current sword skill. Lastly I want a template like function so I can master the skill their. One at a time though to start I guess I'd like Acheron's Octobolt Flash to start off with for thematic purposes. Then after I master all single sword techniques I move up to twin blades then the final one I wanna master is Zoro's three sword style. As for how I reincarnate I wanna die, and I'd also wanna know what's going on. How I know from whatever reincarnated me is irrelevant heck my system can tell me for all I care though I'd of course need to ask. That answers your questions right? I do hate to rush off but I have a date today."
After the interview ends Nyarlathotep is seen creating everything in the interview even going as far as to making Naught soul bound to Riley but can only be used in the Acheron body Nyarlathotep made. "FINALLY I CAN HAVE ENTERTAINMENT!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Please don't get to made Raiden Bosenmori Mei.~ As I'm about to summon that Riley into this body hehehe.~"
With the time difference between both Nyarlathotep's dimension, and the mortal realm he was watching Riley was now sulking at the table after being stood up. He was finally calm enough to leave of course it was rather quickly. After walking out the front door he sees the cliché of a little girl not paying attention, and about to be obliterated by Truck-kun. So having a kind disposition he does what anyone other isekai protagonist did. Push the girl out of the way, and die in the process.
With the bored chaos god he is eagerly watching the empty husk of the divne made Acheron as it lay on a bed or to be more accurate a surgical table. Though to Nyarlathotep it's a bed. Jolting awake the Acheron clone looks at Nyarlathotep with wide eyes. "Holy shit... you. You're not who I think you are right?" Nyarlathotep for his part holds in his laughter. "Alright mortal here's something you'd like to know. I'm reincarnating you for my entertainment. That body your in is what you talked about on that interview. Yea that's right I asked for your wishes before you got here so you'd best thank me! Also I've learned if we both are having fun it's mutually beneficial for both parties. So will you accept?"
Hesitant but sighing to herself. "Two questions. One: is my name Acheron/ Raiden Bosenmori Mei? And what is my first world? Lastly yes I except." Nyarlathotep practically jumps for joy. "Alright first question. Yes those names are engraved to your soul now. Though unfortunately I won't know besides me liking the idea I'm a chaos god not one governing reincarnation so I can't say. What I can say is you won't ever end up in HSR due to how it might effect you. Beyond that everything was made to your specifications I do hope you have fun!"
Then a portal opens beneath Acheron causing them to fall inside said portal for obvious reasons it immediately shuts after opening letting Nyarlathotep now watch his new entertainment fall in a black Void for an extended period of time until finally passing into a new dimension. "Holy crap? She ended up there first. Honestly that is a perfect tutorial world for that character specifically like wow! She's so lucky."
With our protagonist who sees where she is can only say five words.
"What. The. Fuck. Is. Happening?"
