Two weeks had passed since Leo last saw the system's notification.
At first, he wasn't able to understand accept the reality of it .
But as the days went by, he began to realize the system's true purpose.
"It was created to make me stronger," Leo thought to himself.
But despite his excitement, Leo had hit a roadblock.
He had been searching for ways to trigger the system, to get new tasks and level up, but he had found none.
The system remained silent, and Leo was left with nothing to do but wait.
Ever since Aria found out about Kaid taking Leo and Luna to the training area, Leo's life had become a hassle.
His mom was always breathing down his neck, making sure he stayed in his room and never crossed the dining area.
It was as if she had installed invisible fences around his bedroom, trapping him inside.
Leo couldn't even step foot outside without Aria's watchful eyes tracking his every move.
His usual adventures were reduced to gazing out the window, dreaming of freedom.
He longed to explore the gardens, play in the backyard or simply walk around the estate without Aria's constant supervision.
The system's silence only added to Leo's frustration.
He was eager to level up, to complete new tasks and gain rewards and of course, grow stronger.
But with Aria's strict rules, he couldn't even take a step without being caught.
His determination to become stronger seemed futile, trapped as he was in his room.
Leo's room, once a sanctuary, had become a symbol of his confinement.
He paced back and forth, his mind racing with ideas, searching for a way to escape the suffocating grip of Aria's overprotectiveness.
As the days blended together, Leo's restlessness grew.
But for now, he remained locked away, subject to Aria's strict rules and suffocating supervision.
But he did make use of those time though
Leo's face lit up with excitement.
"I want to read books!" he exclaimed, his little hands clasped together.
Aria's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Books? Really?" she asked, trying to hide her amusement.
Leo nodded vigorously.
Aria chuckled, shaking her head. "You're too young to read, sweetie. But I can read to you!"
Leo's face fell, but then brightened up again. "Really? You'll read to me?"
Aria smiled, pulling out a colorful book from the shelf.
"Of course! Let's get cozy and I'll read you a story."
Aria began to read, her soothing voice bringing the story to life. Leo listened intently, his imagination running wild with tales of magic, adventure and bravery.
As the story ended, Leo looked up at Aria with a grin. "That was amazing, Mom! Can we read another one?"
Aria smiled, happy to oblige. "Of course, sweetie. We'll have a reading marathon!"
And so, Aria continued to read to Leo, fueling his imagination and love for stories. But little did she know, Leo's thirst for knowledge and adventure would soon find another outlet...
Aria read to Leo from a stack of books about the Kingdom of Everia.
Leo listened intently, soaking up every word. When she finished, he'd exclaim, "Wow, Mom! Tell me more!"
After feeling drained from countless readings she would leave him alone to get some rest.
Aria left the books in Leo's room, so she wouldn't have to keep fetching them.
Unbeknownst to her, Leo had already read them all. Since they were in English, he had no trouble understanding.
Being in another world unfamiliar to him there was only one way to survive, aside from strength, power and all knowledge of this world was very important. So he read books
As the days passed, Leo's room became a book haven.
He spent his days reading about Everia's politics, geography and magical .
His understanding grew, and with it, his determination.
Aria remained oblivious to Leo's secret. She'd walk in, find him surrounded by books and smile.
"You're really enjoying these stories, aren't you?"
Leo would nod, his face lit up with excitement. Aria had no idea that her little boy had become a book nerd .
But there were some books that caught his interest though.
Leo sat comfortably in his favorite chair, surrounded by stacks of books. He opened the next book in line and began to read.
Just as he turned the page to a pivotal moment in the story, a knock at the door broke the silence.
Emma, the maid, poked her head in, a look of urgency on her face.
"Master Leo, your presence is urgently needed in the living room," she said, her voice firm but polite.
Leo's eyes widened in surprise, his mind still in the world of Everia. He reluctantly closed the book, marking the page with a finger.
"What's going on?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
"I'm not sure, Master Leo," Emma replied,
"but Lady Aria wants you there right away."
Leo's heart skipped a beat. What could be so important ?
He quickly set his book aside and followed Emma to the living room, wondering what lay ahead…
