Chapter 36 - Rage

The war mother threw their strongest hits on the grey giant, they managed to heavily damage it, causing it to fall on its back.

It crashed into the building across the city, sending tremors and quakes all through the city, and citizens screamed and ran in a scattered array. It was all hectic and unnerving; the city was up in smoke, and the war mothers were getting tired of fighting as the grey giant kept getting back up.

A pair of watchful eyes keyed in on them, seeing them tired and beat, it chuckled and said, it's time. The cylindrical contraption protruding out of the grey giant's chest opened like a door and out of it came a man with golden locks.

Seeing him, Hercules gasped, "Icarus! You're alive!

He smiled at her, and her face went pale as she stared into those eyes,

"Hey Hercules", Cheshire said. Who's that guy?". Hercules was too stunned to speak, Cheshires was simply too confused. She turned to Connie to make sense of the whole thing, but she had a more frightened expression.

"Hercules!" She screamed. "What's going on?"

The earth began to rumble again and with Connie too; her legs were shaking, she was shut of breath, and her eyes seemed vacant; it seemed she wasn't just looking at a man she knew but something from a very dreadful past.

Hey, the giant getting back up, Cheshire screamed.

Icarus raised his legs to take a step but Hercules screamed at him. "Don't you move an inch, you traitor!"

"Traitor?"Cheshire said

He kept his foot hanging mid-air, and then he burst out laughing, and then a noise came from the castle. It sounded like a crash, Cheshire turned and saw that more parts of the castle had collapsed.

"Shit, that's my room," she said.

Icarus kept his foot on land and began walking towards Hercules. She toned her muscles, and a fire lit her eyes. Connie knew what would come next and she took off running.

"Conmie, where are you going," Chershire screamed to alert Hercules; she turned to look and watched Connie runoff.

Damn it, she thought. Poor girl

She realized she could no longer hear Icarus walk; she turned and saw him standing in front of her. She instantly threw a punch at him, the rage burning out her eyes.

Her first cold, like it was nothing, he looked her in the eyes, those burning eyes, and said, you know you can't use rage against, don't you know what I am?

His face twisted in fiendish horror, his skin slowly turned black, and she began to realize it. She tried to pull back her hand, but his grip was too tight; then, with her other hand, she punched him in, sending his head turned sideways.

Golden bones shut out the side of his face and his eyes turned white. "You're a sin," Hercules said. "How could you!?"

The grey punch throws a fust at the bit of them but Cheshire quickly knocks it away.

"Not just any," he said, turning his head to her with a smile, "I'm the fiery sin of rage." Hercules' eyes widened, and he instantly headbutted her; the impact shocked the earth around them and caused the castle to crumble further. It knocked her away, but with his grip still firm around her hand, he pulled her back and head-butted her again and again. In each instance, the whole felt his power under their feet.

Cheshire rushed in and swung her hammer at him, but he quickly put Hercules at its path, and Cheshire had no choice but to quickly withdraw it. He quickly capitalized on this, throwing Hercules at her, tossing her whole body like a ragdoll

He knocked Cheshire to the ground and turned his attention to the castles.

"You! War machine, find me the sin of gluttony and get the eye." The giant nodded and stormed the castle.

"Now, where's that brat? Where are you, Connie?" He screamed, "I know you're around here, Connie! Well, if you don't come out, I'll just have to force you out. I've got a gift for you Connie. It's just like before when we faced the sins, remembered and we watched them all die."

Connie could hear him speak; it sent waves of fear through her body, and she covered her ears the best she could, but it was like he spoke in her mind.

The giant walked to the castle with the bridge crumbling but it leaped across and landed on the small island the castle was on.

More parts of the castle crumbled as the whole island acknowledged his presence. The giant on the castle side, his hand crashed through the building. It began trashing the whole place, ripping it to shreds.

The war machine's roar echoed through the very crevices of the tattered building. Its ears were sharp so Victoria whispered

"Do you think you can handle it?"

"Do you think you have a good control of it?" She paused and listened to him

"Are you sure?" She said, "Remember no rage, no monster. Fight with your head Dorian."

"Alright now go!"

The grey giant continued ripping the building apart; its long, lanky fingers dug deep into the very foundations of the building, pulling it up from its root. The large piece it pulled off crumbled in its hand and reached down for another

"Hey!" Dorian screamed. The giant looked down but couldn't find him. "I'm over here dipshit!" The giant followed the sound of his voice and saw him dangling on his fingers.

Dorian looked normal; he'd fully returned to his normal self, but the look in his eyes had changed. They had become more serious and more focused.

It roared at Dorian, and Dorian recoiled in disgust. Damn, What bad breath.

Hey! He screamed at it. I have unfinished business!

The giant threw him down on the ground. Dorian landed like a crashed comet, and his blood spilled everywhere, but he chuckled.

"Damn, I'm hungry," he said, and in a flash, he was engulfed under the shadow of the giant feet. It was about to stomp him to death.

"You dumbass"

Dorian threw a punch and he blew a hole clean through the giant's feet. It leaped backward for defense.

"You idiots destroyed my home! And you idiot killed Hellana too! I'm gonna crush every single one of you"
