Chapter 4 - Echoes of the War

Skadi's defeat had caused a great stir in the arena. It was the first time that people had seen a human triumph over a god. There was a restless murmur among the gods.

Odin watched Skadi fall silently, his eyes flickering to Simo for a moment.

"This man... is no ordinary warrior," he thought. "A silent death from the dark corners of history."

Brunhilde approached Simo, her expression calm and serious despite the euphoria of victory.

"You did a wonderful job, Simo. But we're not done yet," she said.

Simo bowed his head slightly. "This is war, isn't it? Those who know how to survive always win. I'm just playing my part."

---

On the other side of the arena, Zeus laughed heartily and leaned back in his chair.

"It's been a long time since I've seen such an exciting fight! Humans are truly interesting creatures."

But Ares stood up angrily.

"How can a mortal dishonor the gods? This is unacceptable! That person must be destroyed in the next fight!"

Zeus shrugged his shoulders as he looked at Ares.

"Calm down, Ares. Humans are only driven by survival instincts. But that doesn't mean we should underestimate them. This man sees war as an art."

---

Simo walked towards the dark corridors of the arena after his victory. There was no expression of victory on his face. War was not a matter of glory for him, it was just another way to survive.

Brunhilde came to Simo's side and began to walk silently.

"Are you ready for the next fight?" she asked.

Simo paused for a moment and took a deep breath.

"When you called me, I knew I would fight. But wars are all the same; it's all about survival. Not gods, not humans... patience always wins the war."

Brunhilde nodded.

"Your next opponent will be much stronger. Perhaps the gods will want to test you more harshly."

Simo paused for a moment, checking the rifle in his hand.

"It doesn't matter who they compare me to. One bullet is enough."

---

Meanwhile, the gods were discussing choosing a new opponent for Simo. While some wanted one of the most powerful gods to step in to protect the honor of the war, others suggested a more strategic approach.

Loki sat quietly in the corner, making a plan.

"You can't beat that man with strength alone," he said mockingly. "He must be beaten at his own game. We must choose an opponent who requires patience and intelligence."

Ares turned to Loki angrily.

"War is not won with patience, but with strength!"

Loki smiled.

"That's exactly why you always lose, Ares. If you want to defeat him, choose a hunter who is as cold-blooded as he is. Otherwise, you will sacrifice another god to a mortal."

---

At the end of the discussions, Artemis was chosen as Simo's next opponent. The legendary hunter of Greek mythology, the goddess of forests and hunting... For her, this fight was both a threat to humanity and an opportunity to save the honor of the gods.

When Artemis entered her arena, a dark forest was created with her. The shadows of the trees, the fog covering the arena, and the animal sounds heard from every corner made the environment an unfamiliar area for Simo.

However, when Simo stepped into the arena, there was no sign of worry on his face.

"A forest... is a home for every hunter," he said quietly. "You just have to know where to hide."

Brunhilde whispered quietly from outside the arena:

"This time it will be a much tougher fight, Simo. Artemis is a goddess. And no one can survive her hunting game."

Simo bowed his head slightly.

"If a human can hunt gods, that proves that gods can be defeated too."

---

So Simo Häyhä positioned himself to begin the fight against his new rival Artemis. The White Death was about to challenge the world of gods once again with his patience and intelligence.
