In the Blue Clan's laboratory:
"But don't give me such a bunch of useless white trash talents again. When will I be able to simulate a B-rank evaluation at this rate?"
Sarn looked somewhat helplessly at the simulation panel in front of him that only he could see. Looking at the "C" grade evaluation on it, Sarn scratched his head in annoyance.
He had traveled to the Land of Light for a while now. He was just unlucky. He had become a mediocre, ordinary member of the Blue Race—the kind that probably wouldn't have a chance to show his face for the rest of his life. Compared to the other Red Race Ultramarines, his body was rather weak. His scientific research ability could only be regarded as moderate, so he had been coasting through life in the Blue Race laboratory.
Today, however, he unlocked the only solace of being a traveler—the system!
The Simulator System.
Its function was to pick a talent given by the system and perform a life simulation. If a B rating was reached, then he would obtain one of his own abilities and part of his strength from the simulation.
In other words:
If Sarn simulated a path of a Dharma King like Ace and reached a B-rank evaluation, it would be possible to obtain one of those powerful rays—and even a part of his own strength from the simulation!
If he simulated a Fighting King path like Leo's and achieved a B-rank evaluation, it would be possible to obtain one of those powerful fighting techniques!
If an A-rank evaluation was reached, then he would gain two of his own abilities and part of his strength from the simulator. As for the reward for reaching an S-rank evaluation, the system didn't say. But how could it be anything less than three abilities, right?
As for anything below a B-rank evaluation—sorry, nothing. And that was exactly it. The three simulations Sarn had conducted so far hadn't drawn any powerful talents. Combined with his own mediocre strength and status, he couldn't get out without external pressure. Two D's and a C directly. He got nothing.
"The cooldown time is up. Start the next simulation! I don't believe I still can't simulate a B rating today!"
"This world is wonderful and equally dangerous. With my current strength, it's hard to defend myself. How am I going to get out? I don't want to be a backdrop all the time, ah…"
Looking at the simulator, the gray sign of "non-simulatable" relit and turned into a "simulatable" sign. Sarn immediately started the next simulation.
[The Otter Simulator has been turned on!]
[Please select three talents from the following for this simulation.]
Currently available talents: "Ocean Lover," "Dead Card Pilot," "Heterosexual Insulator," "Reckless," and a large pile of familiar white trash talents appeared. Sarn's eyes carried a few moments of disappointment. Was it possible that he was going to draw a bunch of trash again this time?
But the next moment, a dazzling golden color flashed, leaving Sarn's eyes in a trance for a moment! At the very end of the ten talents, a golden talent shone brightly!
A golden talent!
The time has come!
[Earthly Martial Saint: No martial arts are difficult in front of you. All battles are stepping stones for you to move towards Martial Sainthood, and your physical qualities will improve by leaps and bounds!]
"Earthly Martial Saint?!"
"No martial arts will be difficult, and by the looks of it, you'll be able to fight more and more. Even your physical fitness will improve by leaps and bounds?!"
"Good stuff! I've earned a lot this time!"
Sarn shouted excitedly. Then he directly locked onto the Earthly Martial Saint. These few simulations didn't even mention the golden talent. Even the purple talent hadn't come out once. Even the blue and green talents only appeared pitifully once. The rest were all white talents—a poor bunch.
Then, looking at the pile of trash—except for the golden talent of the Earthly Martial Saint—they were all white. Casually selecting two, Sarn directly opened this simulation.
[Selection complete.]
[Currently selected talents are as follows—]
[Earthly Martial Saint (gold color): Any martial arts will have no difficulty in front of you. All battles are stepping stones for you to move towards Martial Sainthood, and your physical quality will improve by leaps and bounds!]
[Ocean Lover (White): You love the ocean and have an extremely deep understanding of it.]
[Optimist (White): You are optimistic.]
After making sure there was nothing wrong with what he had chosen, Sarn directly chose to start the simulation.
"Now, there should always be a B rating, right?"
[Simulation begins!]
[Year 1: You were dissatisfied with staying in the lab and doing nothing, and decided to go out on your own. You easily learned a large number of fighting techniques in the Otter Arena and were appreciated and cultivated by Chief Instructor Terra.]
[Year 2: You followed Tyrol out on a mission and assisted Tyrol in defeating the cosmic dinosaur Jaden, gaining fame.]
[Year 3: Your strength grew more and more powerful. Terra could teach you less and less, so Terra gradually chose to let you lead the team of newborn Otter warriors out to practice. You accidentally discovered that the X35 star had a colorful dragon Rugset's tracks not long ago, but now he has left.]
[Year 4: You like to train in the ocean. The ocean gives you a sense of kinship. Your fighting ability has surpassed Terra, becoming the first member of the Blue Clan whose force is comparable to that of the Cosmic Police.]
[Year 5: You trained day and night in the ocean. You learned all the fighting techniques of the Land of Light and defeated the ultimate super beast Saurus by yourself, becoming famous in the universe.]
[Year 6: Optimistic that you could pacify the Dark Empire, you chose to fight your way into the Dark Empire's headquarters. You killed Mephras, Grozam, and Tislem in a single move and dueled the Ampera Aliens.]
[You hit the Amperaians hard, and you died.]
