His gaze shifted to the sprout in the middle of the Pocket World. While he was breaking through, he felt it absorb most of the Qi in the environment. Observing it now, he was surprised to see that it had grown to his waist length and could no longer be called a sprout.
It had grown into a lush sapling with beautiful green leaves and a full crown.
Paying close attention to it, Yu Yan observed it seemed to be absorbing the mist from the Pocket World and releasing a purple-colored mist. Attracting some of the purple-colored mist towards himself, he circulated it through his meridians and could instantly feel his cultivation start to rise. His eyes widened in surprise as his heart beat in excitement.
"Grow lush and full, unknown tree," he muttered, gently tapping it with a pleasant smile.
Next was the Pocket World itself! It had about doubled in size and the texture of the soil had completely changed.
Picking up a lump of soil, Yu Yan observed it and his expression turned interesting. His gaze changed as he looked around the Pocket World again. Except for the lack of water, wasn't this the perfect place to plant immortal herbs?
He remembered there was once a Pill Master sharing the courtyard with him until his wedding. That Pill Master was only an apprentice but he was allowed to stay in the courtyard of a Legacy. Although it was partly because of his condition then, it still showed the status of Pill Masters.
Herbs were ranked from 1-9, just like Pill Masters, but even the records of the Yu Clan only ever mentioned a Rank 2 Pill Master, even though there have been a few sightings of Rank 5 herbs. If he could turn the Pocket World into an immortal garden, it would fulfill the requirements of safety and secrecy allowing him another method to provide for the Yu Clan.
Although Yu Yan was aware that they had the support of the Imperial Family, he was still thinking of ways the Yu Clan could survive if they were to lose the Mineral mine.
At this point, he was already confident in his victory to become the Yu Clan Patriarch. Although there were no records, he had picked up a few hints from the books he read in the Hall of Records. The Patriarch's selection of the Yu Clan did not take into account status, connection, talent, or cultivation realm. Those things would factor in only in the case of a tie. And for him a tie was impossible.
Because the only thing the selection considered was one's perspective of the Yu Clan itself!
The words of the System came to him when he thought about it. To observe the Yu Clan's values but also pay attention to himself.
The Yu Clan's values were that the Patriarch would care only about the good of the clan in all things. He must not be influenced by power or connections from the outside world, nor can he be self-absorbed in cultivation and forget to manage the clan.
It was a very strict requirement considering the world they lived in, but the Yu Clan had survived so long by sticking with it. That was why, among most other clans, it was said that the Patriarch of the Yu Clan was a God.
No matter how strong one was, no matter how influential, they had to obey the Patriarch. Although, in the younger generation, this mindset was already starting to waver.

The last thing that caught Yu Yan's attention was the Stealth- Blood Wolf. It had been sleeping since he received it and even now had not awakened. There was a brilliant luster in its fur but that was the only observable change to it.
"Status" Yu Yan called in his mind.

Yu Yan was stunned for a long time by the result. A lifespan total of two thousand years!
Just from breaking through to the Qi Condensation realm. The average lifespan of Qi Condensation was two hundred years but his physique amplified that by ten!
Unfortunately, he did not know the ratio of improvement his lifespan gave his talents because they hadn't increased very much. But he was still hopeful. After all, he only just started cultivating!
Fortunately, the Yu Clan was just a small clan and did not have the luxury of testing talents so he never had to worry that someone would discover his inborn talent changing.
[Ding!]
[At the age of 16, as a Legacy of the Yu Clan, you broke through to the Qi Condensation Realm. Received natural treasure: Qi Fountain]
[AI Deletion Compensation: All Future rewards x10]
[Natural treasure - Qi Fountain changed into Chaos Spring (Chaos Treasure Rank 3)]
"Finally!" Yu Yan exclaimed. Since the AI was deleted, the system has been calculating his compensation rewards without any conclusion. He almost thought it was frozen but surprisingly th calculation was completed and he was fully satisfied with the reward.
Although he was confused about the rank of a Chaos Treasure, he was still very pleased with it because he knew all the ranks of natural treasures in this world, and this one had to be above all of them.
"Receive reward," he ordered, and a strange sensation washed over him instantly. His vision changed to a God's eye view with everything in the Chaos World visible below him. He felt a strange feeling within him and began to draw a route as if on a 2D map. He drew the Chaos Spring to cut through the Pocket World and form a small island right in the middle with the sapling, the Stealth Blood-Wolf, and his body in the middle.
As soon as th spring connected back to itself, Yu Yan felt his gaze descend until he landed back into his body and opened his eyes.
Instantly, he felt a change in the atmosphere; the Pocket World seemed brighter and more lively. The green mist even had some subtle changes as it turned purple upon contact with the Chaos Spring surface.
Yu Yan approached the spring and scooped up some water in his hand drinking it.
It was as if an explosion went off in his mind! He instantly sat cross-legged in front of the spring and closed his eyes. He felt his mind continue to clear up, but unfortunately, he had nothing to visualize or ponder over, so he could not get the most out of the springs effect. But he still thought about the Yu Clan, picturing himself as Patriarch, and slowly, he felt his mindset and temperament start to change.
