The Job Change Dungeon was notoriously difficult, and there were already many posts about it on the forums.
However, no one dared to call themselves an expert.
Surrounding players stared at Elliot in shock.
"I can't believe it... He's trying to make money off the Job Change Dungeon?"
"Bigbucks! That name sounds so familiar... I remember you!"
"He's the Bigbucks who's first on the Pet Rankings!!"
Soon, people began to recognize Elliot.
Being first on the Pet Rankings still had its uses.
Elliot shouted out.
Within moments, someone sent over a screenshot of a weapon.
[Purple Iron Sword]
[Grade: Purple]
[Level Requirement: Level 10]
[Attack +100]
[Poison: Normal attacks poison enemies, dealing 2 damage per second.]
"Hey, this is good stuff. Are you selling it?"
"Didn't you say we were going to team up for the dungeon?"
Elliot slapped his forehead, nearly forgetting.
"Sorry, force of habit!" he said, quickly sending a group invitation.
[Ding, SoloMan requests to join your team. Accept?]
"Accept!"
SoloMan appeared to be a twenty-year-old young man.
Upon seeing his name, Elliot froze in place.
"It's him!!"
"You know me?" SoloMan asked, confused.
Of course, Elliot knew him. In his previous life, SoloMan had ranked fifth on the Power Rankings. Later, he switched classes to become a Sky Swordmaster, nearly unbeatable in one-on-one combat.
He was also the one who founded the powerful US-based guild, SoloGang, which ranked among the top three.
Someone like him, how could Elliot not know?
Without wasting time, SoloMan sent a trade request to Elliot.
He gave Elliot 1,000 gold coins.
"Wow, what a big spender!"
Elliot casually remarked, "Aren't you worried I'll just kick you out of the team?"
SoloMan chuckled. "I trust you. You look like a businessman. No need to make a fuss over 100 gold. We might work together again in the future."
"Exactly! I like your straightforwardness! We'll work together again for sure!"
Elliot continued calling for more team members.
It was tough to get people to join for the dungeon with the fee involved.
After a long wait, he finally managed to fill the team.
The last person to join was "Model Man."
As soon as Model Man entered the group, he started questioning.
Model Man: "Are we all new to this? Are you really an expert? Don't tell me you're just scamming us! What if you take our money and run?"
[Ding, Model Man has been kicked from the group.]
Bigbucks: "If you don't trust me, feel free to leave. But we're short on time! Pay first, then we go in. I've got to be responsible for the other members!"
No one else said anything, and they all sent over their gold.
Only Model Man kept spamming Elliot with private messages, insulting him, and was immediately blocked.
*New World* wasn't short on big spenders.
For the rich players, it was all about speed and efficiency—being faster and stronger than everyone else.
A troublemaker who might mess things up for the team was better left out.
Elliot wasn't selling weapons; he was selling services.
Soon, another teammate joined.
Once the group was full, Elliot spoke.
"Alright, everyone. Once we enter the dungeon, follow my lead. I'll guarantee we clear it in one go!"
"Alright!"
"Let's do it, Captain!"
Elliot immediately led the group toward the cave.
[Ding, you are about to enter the Job Change Dungeon. Do you accept?]
The system prompt was sent to everyone in the group.
Since they all paid, no one objected, and they all clicked "Accept."
The next moment, they disappeared into the cave.
When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a dark cave.
The cave was twisted with tree roots stretching through the soil, looking almost like a giant tree hollow.
The sound of dripping water echoed through the cave.
Not far away, monsters were wandering about—large bugs the size of human heads.
[Cave Tree Worm][Cannot be Tamed]
[Level: 10]
"Captain, what's the plan? Should we just kill them all?"
"With our gear, we can probably take them down without issue."
Elliot smiled and said, "I'll make sure you get your money's worth! Come out, Century-old Zombie!"
As the group watched in amazement, Century-old Zombie emerged from its coffin.
"This is the top pet on the rankings? It's so ugly!"
"Dammit, it actually looks pretty cool... It's so realistic! Can I touch it?"
Elliot facepalmed. "Stay close to me, don't wander off! Let's go!"
With that, he sprinted deeper into the cave.
Century-old Zombie led the way.
All the monsters were drawn to the zombie, but Elliot didn't allow it to attack.
Wearing his +3 speed boots, the zombie was faster than the usual monsters.
None of the monsters could catch up, and they simply followed behind Elliot and the others.
Before long, they were being trailed by dozens of worms.
"Whoa, Captain, are we pulling too many?"
"We're not even job-changed yet, and we don't have any area skills. Is this going to get us wiped?"
"Let the pet die and clear the aggro? Not a bad idea!"
The others just followed Elliot, not needing to fight. They started chatting casually.
At that moment, SoloMan suddenly spoke up.
"Captain, is your pet for sale? I'll pay 1 million cash!"
"Wow, a big spender!"
"Jeez, bro, you're wasting your money. Early-game pets are useless. 1 million cash? Are you crazy?"
Elliot was momentarily stunned, nearly losing his rhythm.
Others might not believe it, but he knew SoloMan could afford it.
Unfortunately, Century-old Zombie wasn't a pet.
It couldn't be traded.
Elliot wanted to cry but had no tears.
If he could sell it, he would have done so long ago.
However, he did have something valuable on him.
Bigbucks: "I'll explain when we get out."
SoloMan: "Alright!"
[Ding, SoloMan has added you as a friend. Do you accept?]
"Accept!"
While adding SoloMan as a friend, Elliot kept leading the group and pulling monsters.
In the complex cave, he had drawn a large group of enemies.
"Captain, did we go the wrong way? According to the map, the boss should be that way, right?"
"Yeah, you've led us into a dead-end. If we wipe, you'll need to refund us!"
At this moment, two more people started questioning him.
Elliot ignored them and kept running down a narrow path.
Eventually, a large puddle of water appeared ahead.
Elliot's eyes lit up, and he quickly shouted, "Everyone, into the water!"
Despite the doubts, no one caused trouble.
The team members quickly jumped into the puddle.
Elliot was the last to jump in.
As he entered the water, he recalled Century-old Zombie.
All the aggro shifted to Elliot.
Hundreds of monsters hovered around the water, but none of them entered the puddle.
"Huh? They're scared of water? Captain, how did you know?"
"Our air supply is running low!"
Except for certain classes, players had a limited time to breathe underwater.
Before their breathing time ran out, the dungeon monsters scattered and returned to their original spots, wandering aimlessly.
"Wow, that's awesome!"
"You're really a pro. With that many monsters, it would've taken at least an hour to clear them all!"
"Haha, Captain, I was wrong about you!"
Elliot smiled nonchalantly. "It's nothing. The boss's lair is just ahead. There are twelve monsters between here and there. We'll clear them in no time!"
