Ryan stared at his palm in shock, he couldn't believe how much this system has changed his life, in just a few hours.

'If killing one goblin, gives me 10 EXP, then killing 9 more would allow me level up.' Ryan thought, he was sure that he would gain even more powers and skills by leveling up, it should help him complete his quest easier.
Ryan aimed his hand at a group of goblins headed his way, he chose to use a long distance skill, because he knew he would be killed as soon as he dared to try close combat.
Ryan's health had never permitted him to take an interest in fighting, and he lacked the knowledge of something as basic as how to throw a punch properly, going for a fist fight with a goblin was akin to madness.

Another golden thunderbolt flew out of Ryan's hand, crashing into three goblins, reducing them into nothing but charred corpses.

Ryan smirked at the realization of just powerful this skill was, thanks to it's lightning nature, it was way too fast for the goblin's to dodge, and a single hit was enough to kill a goblin, and this was at the skill's F ranked stage.
While Ryan was still distracted by the possibilities of the powers he would hold in the near future, another goblin had slipped through the cracks of the team, and this time it was heading for Rachel, the woman carrying his half brother.
Ryan's eyes moved towards Jack, who was currently too busy fighting against three goblins at a time, and the rest were all in similar conditions.

Small golden wings appeared on Ryan's feet, and the next second, his body blurred, appearing before the goblin, who has already swung it's club.
Ryan's body was so fast, that one second, all Rachel could see was the goblin, and the next second, she could see a golden haired boy standing before her.

*BAM* A loud explosion rang out, followed by the sound of flesh bursting into pieces, sending blood and other body parts everywhere.

Ryan's punch has been so loud, that it drew everyone's attention, an action that Ryan would soon come to regret.
While Tina was distracted, a goblin swung it's club at her head, killing her in a single hit, it happened so fast that the other's had failed to realize what was happening.
*ARGHHH* Jack groaned, he held his club tightly, and he swung it with fury in his eyes, killing the goblin in a single hit, thanks to his skill.
"Prince, protect the pregnant one, Von, let's clear this place." Jack barked his orders, he wasn't ready to lose another team member, they hadn't even begun their clearing, and he was already down by a teammate.
Jack raised his club once more, ready to strike the head of another goblin, but his hopes were short lived, a goblin managed to snatch the club out of his hands, leaving him weaponless.
Jack was a C ranked talent holder, and compared to these goblins, he was about 7 times stronger, but the sheer numbers of the beasts were enough to make him reconsider his advantage.
Jack struck one of the goblins, sending it flying, but his attacks didn't carry the same weight anymore, leaving the goblin alive, which was why it had survived.
Von, on the other hand was having a very difficult time, his talent wasn't geared towards combat, ever since the goblins had killed Tina, their initial formation had broken, forcing him to fend for himself.
Despite all these, Von wasn't completely defenseless, he still knew how to use his talent to achieve what he wanted, he lured goblins into attacking, and then he opened a portal to allow those attacks strike another goblin.
Von's strategy has only been successful, due to the poor intelligence of the goblins, but he could tell that his plan was hanging on a thin thread, soon enough the goblins would figure out what was going on, and would make short work of him.
"What can you do?" Ryan asked Rachel, thanks to Von and Jack, no goblin was coming their way, and he wanted to be the first one to attack.
He knew it was only a matter of time until Von and Jack got tired, and would be unable to continue, eventually leading to their deaths.
"I can manipulate my voice to sound however I want." Rachel said, but Ryan couldn't find any practical application for that talent in this context, she was practically useless.
"Do you have anything, that can bw used offensively?" Ryan asked impatiently, his body was itching him to level up, who knew what skills he would end up with.
"Yes, I just need a clear shot." Rachel said, and she began to hum a sweet melody, one that Ryan found interesting, thanks to the system screen before him.

Ryan was about to start asking questions, but the tens of goblins lining up in front of him, was something that he couldn't ignore for the moment.
Rachel opened her mouth wide, releasing a powerful sound wave that echoed in the narrow and hollow space of the cave, causing the goblins to explode instantly.
Ryan didn't have time to be fascinated by Rachel's display of power, he had something much more important on his minx, and that was the attention of the goblins he had drawn.

A golden thunderbolt shot out of Ryan's hand, crashing into two goblins, killing them instantly.

'I just need to kill 4 more.' Ryan thought and without wasting a second, he fired 4 thunderbolts in rapid succession, killing 4 goblins.

A smile appeared on Ryan's face, but his joy was short lived, another system screen appeared, replacing the joy in his heart with horror.
