The morning light filtered softly through the curtains as Aurelia stirred, slowly waking from the most peaceful sleep she had experienced in days. She blinked, momentarily disoriented, until she felt the solid warmth beside her. Turning her head, she saw Hades, still holding her protectively, his eyes closed and his breathing even.
The sight of him, so at peace, brought a soft smile to her lips. She gently shifted, careful not to disturb him. As she moved, his arms instinctively tightened around her for a moment before he stirred awake.
"Good morning," he said, his voice husky from sleep.
"Good morning," she replied softly.
He released her and sat up, running a hand through his dark hair. "I thought we could spend the day here at the hotel. Relax a bit. Maybe go to the movies later tonight, if you're up for it."
Aurelia nodded, feeling a flicker of excitement.
"I'll go shower," she said, slipping out of bed.
