Mina, on the other hand, remained unfazed by the scene. She turned to Olivia, who instinctively stepped back in fear. Without hesitation, Mina aggressively pushed her against the wall.
"I did warn you, didn't I?" Mina said, gripping the stick in her hand as she walked toward Olivia, whose eyes widened in terror.
"My heart is shattered right now, thanks to the incident you keep gloating about. But do you know what that has made me?" she asked, her voice laced with bitterness. "Heartless—just like you."
Olivia's panic intensified, and even Sunny, standing behind her, trembled in fear.
"I TOLD YOU TO STOP!" Mina suddenly screamed, her voice raw with emotion. Tears welled in her eyes as her chest rose and fell heavily, the weight of her anger and sadness overwhelming her.
"Do I have to kill someone first before you finally listen?" she demanded.
Olivia shook her head quickly, too frightened to speak.
Suddenly the door burst open as some medical people in uniform rushed inside and went to carry the unconcious guy on the ground, just then the principle rushed in as he glanced at the one on the ground, and the two girls
"The both of you," He said "In my office!" He yelled.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and the school medical team rushed inside. They quickly attended to the unconscious boy on the ground. At that moment, the principal stormed in, his eyes scanning the scene—the unconcious student, the two girls, and the chaos in the room.
"You two," he said,"In my office. Now!"
In CHNs staff meeting room
Six people were scattered around the room. Some were setting the table with stacks of files, while others were clearing away trash cans and discarded papers. The room, though occupied, still had the remnants of past meetings left unattended for months.
Among the six, three were men and three were women. One of the women was middle-aged, same as one of the men. They all moved hurriedly, trying to clean up before their leader arrived, but before they could finish, she walked in.
Min Gayeon, the leader of the Product Planning Team B, stepped inside. Although she was young, but she looked older than her age, often leading people to mistake her for someone more senior.
These people are the one that put their heads together, discussed and then sketch out the next new product, which then would be taken to different sectors for verification, before the product would finally been taken to the engineers and mechanic to manufacture.
The moment she entered, the team froze. The mess from their last meeting had yet to be cleaned, and they internally prepared themselves for the inevitable scolding.
However, Gayeon was oddly quiet. She walked toward the head seat, her expression unreadable. Then one of the staff members hesitantly broke the silence.
"Miss Gayeon, we—"
"Everyone, sit down. Let's begin our meeting," she ordered, her tone firm.
The team exchanged skeptical glances. Her behavior was unusual. Normally, she would have already started yelling.
"Miss Gayeon," Jun Ho, one of the male team members, called out. "Could you exercise a little patience? Let's at least finish cleaning up first."
Gayeon turned to him with a cold stare.
"This is something that should have been done long ago—right after our last meeting," she said, exhaling sharply as though suppressing her anger.
"Sit down so we can proceed," she repeated, forcing a smile. But everyone knew—Gayeon smiling was even scarier than her yelling.
"You know, you can just yell right" Mr Im Gun the middle aged man remarked "We are prepared for it" He said as the rest nooded in agreement
"Oh," she smiled "Thanks for the reminder but i think i woulld pass the idea, my therapist said i should learn to yell less" she said "So i would save the yell for later, cuz i know during the meeting one of you will make me do it anyway" she added
"Team Leader," Kim Cheol, the youngest member, hesitated before speaking. "Is it because of the—" She gestured around her face.
Gayeon frowned, confused for a second, until she realized what Kim Cheol meant.
"Wrinkles—"
Before she could finish the word, Gayeon slammed her palm onto the desk.
"Don't you dare say it!" she snapped.
The team barely flinched. They weren't surprised that she was already going back on her word. But then, she inhaled deeply, and exhaled, and in a much calmer tone, she said,
"Sit down."
The team exchanged knowing glances, suppressing their laughter as they took their seats around the table.
Jun Ho, one of the male staff members, reached for an empty snack wrapper left on his chair, intending to toss it away. But before he could, Gayeon shot him a piercing gaze.
"Sit," she commanded, knowing fully well about the snack wrapper on the chair,
He hesitated for a moment before awkwardly lowering himself onto the chair—snack wrapper and all. As he sat there was a quite satisfied look on her face, she felt as if someone had finally paid for their clumsy action and that kinda made her feel better
For a brief moment, silence filled the room. The atmosphere felt far from suitable for a meeting, but Gayeon didn't seem to care. She opened her file, pulled out some documents, and began.
"Now, we will...."
Before she could finish, the door swung open.
The entire room turned to see Minjae standing at the entrance, flanked by her bodyguards and assistants. Her presence alone was commanding, and a tense silence fell over the room.
Every team member stared, jaws slightly dropped.
Minjae's sharp gaze swept across the untidy room before settling on the team. As her eyes landed on Gayeon, the team leader, she immediately snapped out of her daze and jumped to her feet.
"C-Chairlady…," she stammered.
Minjae barely acknowledged her and turned slightly to her assistant.
"Are you sure this is the right room?" she asked Kim Ann Soo.
"Yes, ma'am," Ann Soo confirmed. "This is the Planning Team—Team B."
Minjae's expression darkened as she glanced around the room once more. Her displeasure was clear to see.
Gayeon noticed immediately and turned to her staff.
"What are you waiting for? Start tidying up!" she barked.
immediately they all stand up and started packing up, then she walked towards Minjae
As she approached, Minjae's gaze remained cold. She was clearly unimpressed by the team's first impression. then she looked over her shoulder
"Sang tae" she called as sang tae walked to her, before she could say further he leaned in and whispered
"Before you make any order, i want you to know that this team, has produced several of our company best product" He said close to her ears, then back away, just then Gayeon got to her
"Please come in Chairlady" She gestured
As they walked, Gayeon quickly spoke.
"Please don't be offended. My team tends to be… clumsy. But you shouldn't mind the mess too much—it motivates us to come up with greater ideas for the company's products."
By now, the team had finished tidying up. They rushed back to their seats, hoping their leader's distraction had bought them enough time.
Jun Ho, about to sit down again, noticed that the empty snack wrapper was still on his chair. As he reached to pick it up, Gayeon3 Who was now passing by, subtly kicked his leg with her heel.
He got the message. With an awkward sigh, he sat back down—right on the snack wrapper
She led Minjae to the head seat, and then sat on the chair beside the head seat, Minjae didn't seat, she just stood beside it. She despised an untidy enviroment.
While she stood and the rest was sitting, something felt off as the team exchanged glances, communicating with the eyes, finally, they all stood up hesistantly___ they felt it was not proper that such a high Rankin figure was as standing and they were sitting.
Gayeon continued awkwardly, but tried to maintain
"We were just about to plan on the next product before you...."
Minjae raised a finger Cutting her off
The room was now dead silent, as everyone gulped, nervous about what she was about to say, She gazed at each of them, Who ever that meets her eyes looks away, intimidated. Finally she spoke
"I only came to see how the planning teams are preparing for the next product. Out of all 26 teams, I somehow found my way here first." Her gaze sharpened. "And if this is how your team operates, I can only assume the others are the same."
Gayeon immediately defended, "No, no, Chairlady! The others aren't—"
"So it's just this team, then?" Minjae interjected.
Everyone turned to Gayeon, who realized she had only made things worse.
Minjae's piercing eyes settled on her.
"Team Leader, correct? Min Gayeon?"
Gayeon's breath caught. How did Minjae know her name?
She nodded quickly and composed her self, Minjae continued
"And this is team B" Minjae confirmed
"Yes Ma'am" said Gayeon
